Review of Four Points 3*

Dated hotel, not much I can say about the appearances. I like the room for the size and the balcony. The parking lot seemed to be half full when we checked in at 11pm so I'm assuming it's not sold out whatsoever. Now when I checked into the hotel, I ask the front staff if I can get the best room with best view possible. He stated to me that we got a great room over looking the bay. Got excited for that so when we got into the room, the first thing we did was open the door… to the balcony to enjoy the view and have a relaxing night. To our surprised, their was horrible trash smells coming from the balcony and when I looked down, we where literally above their garbage dumpsters nd garabge area. The smell was bad that we could not even stay outside more than 30 seconds. After a long drive from NorCal down, we wanted to take some rest and hopefully sleep in late. I'm a very light sleeper and loud noise or sounds will disrupt my sleep and it will take me an eternity to fall back to sleep. At 7:40 am, the garbage truck was out collecting the trash and of course, we all know the sounds of those vehicles. Neatless to say, I was wide awake after that and didn't even enjoy my stay as I would have hoped. My point of this review is not to complaint about petty issues but to have the hotel and the staff disclose to me that we are above the dumpsters and that there may have a slight odor over the balcony and that the garbage collection is early Saturday morning. It's a small effort with he hotel staff but it would have save me time and frustration as this could have been avoided. No more second time for me with this location. It's not worth the price of admission whatsoever.
