Staff is very friendly and very attentive. I feel safe here and it's close to the everything and the freeways. Mike is a stand-up guy and sticks by his word. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay that's 1000 feet away from a huge Mall with an ice cream shop out front look no further. I came here to go in a long cycling trip and felt very safe leaving my girlfriend there by herself. Look this isn't the Hilton but they have a kitchenette and it's very quaint looking. We definitely will stay here again.

I needed a weekly motel while waiting to find a group home for my brother who is disabled and I'm soo happy that I stayed at Mission Bell. We each had our own room and we had a full kitchen which was awesome, I can handle eating out if I'm on a trip for just a few days, but being able to go grocery shopping and have a place to keep it all was great! The owner was very helpful and as accommodating as possible, he found a much needed recliner for my brother, and he even had his maintenance man built a large shower step and covered it with carpet so Bill wouldn't slip and had easier access to the shower with his walking limitations. It's not a luxury hotel, but I do recommend it!

Nice historic no frills Motel. Checked in after hours (late) evening, had to ring the doorbell for service which was not working. After pushing all of the service bells and not getting any answer I decided to call the number posted on the door. While waiting on the phone for someone to answer I decided to push the Disabled person service button. Finally a sound it works Hallelujah, a older woman appeared peeping out of the window across from the Motel lobby. Told her I needed to check in she immediately replied, no we have no check in no information for you. She had not asked me my name reservation information or anything. Simply said no reservation or information for me. A older male appeared speaking to her in a foreign language the words spoken had her open and greet me in the Lobby. After giving them my information they located my reservation and promptly issued a key for my room. Nice bungalow Style unit single queen-sized bed, table w/ 2 chairs, old microwave that works and a unbalanced refrigerator that works as well. There is no carpet so I'm sure that it has been remodeled sometime ago as there is tile throughout the unit. The tile in the bathroom needs a good cleaning removing the soap scum and hard water scales from it. The units shower did not work properly drip all night long. There towels are thin, small, and old in need of replacement. It is a very quiet place even with all the movement around the property associated with possible monthly renters.

Cute, quaint, cozy. Patk right next to door of room. Clean comfortable great location affordable. I will go back.

A Jewel, Next Door To The Mall, Freeway, 3 Minutes To The Beach, 10 Minutes to the Mountains, 5 Minutes To Downtown… Great Place to Stay.

Nice quiet motel. A home like feel to it, walking distance from mall and beach, I loved that I had my own parking space right outside my room. THe room was clean well kept, the heater and ac worked great. Water pressure was good. Managers were very polite, profesional, and acomodating. Definitely booking this room again when I come back to Ventura.

Staff was very professional yet pleasant. My family and I felt very safe during our stay. The building itself is old however we were comfortable. A very quite place even on the weekend. Very convenient shopping mall right next door, definitely walking distance. Thumbs up! #

Stayed here 1 night on motorcycle trip. Good price, clean, comfortable, well maintained, quiet. Walkway across freeway to beach directly behind motel — my room to breakfast on the pier was about a 4 minute walk! Nice hot tub and pool. Clean and well maintained. The Amtrak train track is directly behind the motel.

I was tired and hungry and just bought some food at Wendy's just down the street so my boyfriend and I decided to visit our friend Janet Perez who who rents a room there with her partner and there five children which need to have there own beds and rooms per the state of California CPS.

Inexcusable. NEVER AGAIN Checked in, went out shopping, and errands, returned a couple of hours later. Very hot in room, no A/C, only two fans available. Couldn't opened all the windows because some screens were broken and shattered, which is a problem with mosquitos coming in. The kitchen screen fell out when I was trying to get it open. I called and notified the man owner who can not speak proper english had to continuous explain why I was calling, and what happened. Waited 20 minutes and still no show. I called again, and I had to still explain why I was calling, but this time he was upset and I were getting mad. He wanted me to leave the window open because he said no one will be entering through it. I was yelling trying to explain that mosquitoes will be coming in. 10 minutes later his wife appears, she tells me to go with her to get the screen. She refused to get it and had me retrieve it through a narrow entry way outside climbing over a ton of debris, old mattresses, and broken furniture. Trying to watch my step in the long dirty filthy back grass area I finally picked up the screen and couldn't put it back on, she was yelling, I was getting soooo angry, I want to throw this thing at her. I waited there while she entered my room to the kitchen. I was placing the screen vertical so it can fit, but she kept interfering and interrupting kept telling me to put it horizontal. I was getting angry showing her and telling her that it does not fit horizontal.

Mission Bell was just as charming as the photos indicated. My partner and I stayed in one of the Queen bed rooms which included a spa. We were celebrating my birthday. We had a wonderful, restful time! The ice cream parlor at the front of the motel was a surprise, with very tasty ice cream. The motel was close enough to the Pacific Ocean for us to enjoy cool breezes during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were so accommodating, providing us with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Our thanks to Harry and Jazzie for being the lovely people they are! We arrived in the evening looking for a place just to sleep when passing ventura. From outside the Motel area looked ok and for arround 65$ it seemend to be suitable for our needs. We really liked the fact of parking next to the rooms. The cheaper room where we decided to stay in turned out to smell of gas from kitchen area. Without problems or extra charge we could change rooms. This one was spacy with a separate kitchen and wodrobe. It was equiped with a table, a huge fridge, an oven and television. It seemed to be ralativly clean but haven't looked properly in kitchen as we didn't use is. Bathroom was little moisy but if you just need a bed for one night and leave early it is ok.
