We have been coming to San Clemente Inn every year since 1982 when my mom purchased a timeshare here. We always love the friendly staff and well-kept grounds. 🥰

Helpful, cheerful staff. We have been coming here for 30 years, usually over the 4th of July. Never had to worry about the kids. They made new friends every year from around the world. If you are looking for elegant, don't come here. If you are looking for a clean room with resort amenities such as a pool, BBQ, lawn games, two outdoor Jacuzzis, table games, complimentary DVD movies, and a whole lot more, SCI is a solid choice. Bottom line, this is a FUN place.

We reserved this hotel through RCI and due to the current situation with COVID we called them multiple times to confirm our stay there. The receptionist told us that everything great and they are waiting for us. The week before our trip the RCI called us and said that our hotel is canceled because of the covid and we have to confirm with hotel. We called the hotel and they said they are still waiting for us and everything is good. The day before, in the morning, before we could cancel our flight we called and confirmed one more time. And they seemed so kind and still were saying that they are waiting for us. In the afternoon, they called and said that the reservation is now canceled. WHAT?! You are telling us the lie that you are waiting for us the whole month or more?! And now, less that 12 hours before our flight you are saying that you can’t accept us?! We were so disappointed with the management and manager Lisa and employees which don’t really know the rules of hotel etc.
Do not recommend you this hotel and deal with the management! We were supposed to come with the baby and had the whole day of stress because of this hotel.

Great family lace close to the beath.

A family favorite for the last twelve years. Family friendly amenities like miniature golf, outdoor BBQ, shuffle board, a gym, pool with two jacuzzis and a game room.
I enjoy the state park adjacent to this property, a short walk to the beach, and proximity of the epic surf of trestles.

24hr service available in lobby from friendly staff. Games movies lounge and pool. All in excellent condition and minutes from the beach.

The greatest hotel in the world. I heard President's stay here. A lovely employee here named Jill and the rest of this beautiful staff made this stay one the best days of my life
the only thing missing is the rest of my family friends children etc and the love of my life. I have an idea though. Happy Easter Sunday don't forget to thank Jesus Christ today.

It’s cool and fun here and there are lots of an a great things.

First the beach trails are worth your time, good exercise and peaceable. The beach canyons interesting. The beach itself is worth it. An effective kitchen or even out door barbeques means one may eat what one pleases rather than too much restaurant food. Yet, the town has good restaurants if wanted. Bring sunblock and gear. Explore even the less advertised beaches.

Been coming here for years and I still love it but absolutely love the remodels of the place. Always friendly faces and if you need help finding what to they are there for you.

I stayed here 2 weeks ago to celebrate my bday along with my family and on day two of our stayed discovered a big rat in my bed along with droppings in the bed. It turned into a nightmare as the situation was poorly handled by the attendant. We checked out that night with young kids in tow I battled with their very uncooperative mgr for a refund in my stay and after two weeks of me initiated all the communication only received a partial. The worst treatment ever at a hotel. Unbelievable!

If you get and opportunity to visit I highly recommend it.

Great value, good service and very professional. My family stayed one night and had a great time.

Very disappointed. The photos show a remodeled lobby and room, very misleading! We got a run down outdated room. Hinges on the bedroom door were loose, door stop loose, fraying furniture, marks on walls and floors, wallpaper peeling, dishwasher door doesn't always close, cheap bottle opener broken, knives so dull they mush blueberries and watered down dish soap. Our multiple conversations with the front desk ended with our manager will call you later today. Never got a call. Also, Wi-Fi signal is weak and constantly knocking me off and making me reenter the password. No diaper aged kids in swimming pool. I have had both my kids in swimming classes since 2 months old and they wear swim diapers with no problems ever. This place is too rundown, unhelpful and uncaring with poor customer service. I will never return and highly suggest you choose another place to stay.

Amazing host at a wonderful location! 5 star breakfasts every morning. Felt like you were at moms or grandmas all weekend.

This is a nice fairly clean hotel with pretty big rooms. There’s a pool and two hot tubs, a mini golf course, and bar. There was a transgender night during our first night so check up on when those are going to happen in case you’re going to have kids joining you during your stay at the hotel.

It's a decent space for a family of four with 2 teenage kids. They actually disinfect the floor so it was good to know that the place was cleaned after use since we can smell the disinfectant when we came in. 10-min walk to the beach. Close to the 5 fwy.

From the time my children were young and now … when their children are young … we have been coming here. It is a place that I have always felt safe, we are treated like family and the beach is a walk away.
If you are looking for a peaceful yet fun place for your family this is it!

Check in was a different process than most, but we got our first choice of room and it was clean and ready right away. The rooms are nice, the property is located in a safe neighborhood, and the walk to the beach is just a half mile (down a steep hill). Service is pleasant and polite and helpful. Rooms are updated but outside looks dated. We saw a skunk by the grills last night, and when I told an employee he said, "Oh they are all over. Racoons too, so be careful. " Hope we have no incidents with wildlife during our stay! :)

Everything we needed it to be. Minus having a king bed… that would have been nice. Kitchenette… was helpful. We were out at beach or exploring all day. We stayed 5 nights! We don’t have kids yet — but this is a KID friendly place… lots of outdoor space for them to run around safely. We didn’t get a chance to partake in the fun activities offered at SC inn. But we plan on being back.

You can not beat this place price wise, location, cleanliness, interior (Murphy beds come out of the walls to add to comfortable twin beds), kitchenette, separate bedroom, sofas beds… I am sure that every room can easily sleep 6! On the premises is a pool, jacuzzi for adults and one for children, picnic like tables tables available at the BBQs, a little putting hole, a game room and plenty of space for the children to play while they adults unwind.

Very nice people and service. Pool area /hot tub nice. Linens and room were quite tired. But room was big and comfortable. Great location. This motel would be great with 1) replace old smelly a. C. 2) new elegant linens 3) update Murphy beds 4) large / new TV.

Awesome weekend spot! I had the in-laws over from out of state for a week and this place was really the best priced and perfect location with Beach access and close to downtown and local businesses for day shopping and evening nightlife. Would love to stay agian. If they ever let me stay again after I got so drunk I walked in to a different ROOM that was not my own and passed out for couple hours till maintenance came and kicked me out and banned me for live.

Staying at San Clemente Inn is like renting a car that is really ugly and broken on the outside but the interior looks great. The rooms and common areas have been recently remodeled and look good. Newer appliances and bathrooms look particularly good. That sad there are a few suggestions to make this place a 4 or 5 star. Have coffee in the lounge, have signs that show where to find rooms in every hallway, paint the exterior, upgrade the pool deck, and upgrade the bed quality. Unfortunately the staff was the worst part. There is a arch type of San Clemente citizens. Lack of drive and enthusiasm. Lacking the effort to go the extra mile. The front staff lost our r Paper reservation and just stood there after he couldn't find it under "C" the hotel is banking on the decades of being iconic without actually addressing the fact they need to upgrade to continue to be the iconic SC place to stay. The Hampton Inn across the 5 freeway looked much better on the outside.

Oh I love staying here! Very clean and peaceful environment. I will be there want a charge for weekly room service but it's still a nice clean place to get away.

The San Clemente Inn was recently voted the best place to stay in San Clemente. The location is walking distance to the State park and beach, and biking distance from the famous Trestles surfing spot. The San Clemente Inn has great rooms featuring kitchens that make you feel like your in an apartment, not just a room. There are many on property activities including a large pool and jacuzzi, BBQ area, tennis courts, basket ball court, miniature putting course, weight room and recreation area. There is also a restaurant inside connected to the remodeled lobby. The staff is great providing the type of service with a smile approach that we appreciate. I recommend that you stay here the next time you are in town.

We booked this place from Hotel Tonight and for the price we thought we were just getting a small spot to out our heads down. When we arrived we found what was basically a small apartment with living room area, bedroom, and 2 pull down beds. It also included a kitchen which was stocked with all the utensils and pans etc that you could need to make a meal. We've been to this place twice now and love the area. Staff is great and of course the restaurant Adele's is great for breakfast.

At exactly 10:30am of the day my family and I are supposed to check out (January of this year), up comes this guy banging on the door telling us that we have to leave immediately. We had to scramble everything and literally make a dash for it. I've stayed at numerous places worldwide and this has NEVER happened to me before. They always give you the flexibility to check out comfortably. I will definitely not be staying here again!

I like the concept of the amenities… I was however under the impression it was closer to the beach. Which it is not. Also you need to drive too get anywhere from the hotel. It's about 4miles to the main popular pier and night life. I did get a rom with a sliver of a view of the ocean. Also the beds are amazing! Nice stocked kitchen supplies even had a blender for us raw vegan types.

Maid service is hard to come by. We had two suites for a week and all we could get was clean towels and toilet paper. Bathrooms were moldy and general cleaning not good at all. We all left with major sinus infections. The kids did like having the miniature golf course, tennis courts, and pool. It was sad to see how shoddy the upgrades were handled. No seal around showers so water just poured out of the shower kind of shoddy. I hope management addresses the cleanliness of the rooms because the kids like staying here.

Complex is pretty old but okay. View from our room was really good; they said it was one of the bigger rooms. Bathroom looked old and could be maintained better. When the room was serviced, the bathrooms were not cleaned so that could be better otherwise did a nice job of cleaning. The gym is pretty small so I didn't use it a lot but when I went to use it they had it closed for maintenence which was lame! Room had a hot plate and microwave so we could cook and eat. I loved that.

Bi polar customer service reps, evening check in was great but during the day there is a few old Betty's that are sour on life. They need proper training by management. The reception area and the grounds we're kept up nicely but rooms are old and dated and the kitchen is very small, worst thing was the check out time of 10:30am!

Location is great, right off the highway. Close to beaches. Rooms are spacious and clean. Kitchenette is well stocked. Only complaint is that I've found several spiders on the ceilings.

Terrible customer service. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights for my son's swim meet. None of front desk employees know how to greet and smile to us or any costumer. They hated their job and they don't even try to hide it. They only come to the room to take out the trash. They don't sweep or wipe the mirrors. We stayed at Crest Suite. We have to keep our doors and windows open 24hrs because the place smells like a wet dog. It doesn't look anything like the picture in their website (beware, the pictures are deceiving). I gave 3 stars because the kids enjoyed the mini arcade and mini golf. Warning: do not use their gym or any machines!

I stay at the San Clemente Inn at least once a year. Their room options are great, location is good, amenities are good. No real complaints. It is a bit old as far as the look of it goes, so thats why I wouldn't give it 5 stars.

Great place for our family’s mini vacations each year. Love the location, close to the beach‍♀️, secluded from the city, all the amenities of a big resort is offered to all it’s guests.
Although, this is a smaller Timeshare location… it really has a LOT to offer. All timeshare rooms are remodeled and the front lobby area/game room are unrecognizable, amazing improvements! Well done! Can’t wait until next year.

The San Clemente Inn is a time share community that sells extra rooms as a hotel. We love it here. We have come here at least once a year every year for over 20 years. Sometimes stay a week sometimes just a day. Either way, they have been awesome. It is not fancy. Beds could be softer. But the amenities are great. The location is perfect. It is designed for longer stays as a corporate type apartment with a kitchenette and lots of beds. We usually can sleep a max of 7 people which is perfect for our family of 7. If you want fancy I don't think this entire town is for you. If you want a comfy cozy friendly, laidback beach town attitude, then come here.

Location to the San Clemente park was amazing. The junior suite was spacious with 1 room plus 2 single murphy beds and a queen sofa couch which easily accommodates 6 people. Nice to have a fridge, microwave and dishwasher as well.

The room carpet and chairs should be updated, and the restroom shower should be replaced. The courteous maintenance person pointed out that the shower did not have mold; rather, the door sealing was black because the shower is old. Housekeeping needs a better vacuum cleaner. The floor was still dirty after they vacuumed. The white fixtures and appliances were very clean. Housekeeping and maintenance staff are friendly and courteous. Location good for family because close to the beach, and the kitchen area is fully stocked with dishes, etc.

It's a great place. Location and service was perfect. Beach is right next to the place. Also prices was very decent comparing to other nearby hotels. The rooms are big. It's basically like an apartment it's very nice. Recommended to couples or to a family trip.

It is a wonderful place to get out of the city and relax. It's quite. It has a pool, hot tub and kid hot tub. There is a workout room, game room and mini golf course. You can bbq and enjoy dinner outside on the picnic tables. There are a few gazebos with comfortable outside furniture. The only downside is the walk to the beach is long and hard for little kid's.

The overall stay was good until I had to deal with Susan at the front desk. She should not be working in hospitality at all she's rude. We definitely won't be staying here ever again. This security guards were nicer than the front desk representatives. The reps in the front all spoke in a condensending tone. The beds are very uncomfortable. There is no fan or a. C in one of the bedroom suites. The small a. C doesn't work well to get air into the room, adding a fan would work. And there was 2 huge roaches in the bathroom. Nasty nasty.

Great place, loved that the location was so close to the beach. I work in timeshare and this was really comfortable. The grill called Adele's was fantastic, great food… Janna the waitress was on point and so friendly.

This place was awesome! It has a kitchenette and has everything you need to cook and BBQ and while here play tennis, ping pong, mini golf or swim. It's clean, safe, and steps to the beach and a short drive to the pier.

Horrible hotel. Dirty place I recommend staying somewhere else. No bottled watered available. We to the front desk asking to pay or anything for water, none available even for purchase. Do not recommend at all.

Love this place! Have been staying here for vacation every year for 25 yrs. Since I was a kid. So much to do here and around the area. Great place to relax and a great family place to stay. They have a pool, 2 spas, tennis court, basketball, pool tables, ping pong, shuffle board, movie nights, recreation room, DVD rentals for your for free, and mini golf. Nice size rooms with mini kitchens. Can't wait for my vacation in October!

This was a meeting point for friends from Los Angeles and friends from San Diego. I could have not have had a better sleep with more space. Rented three suites, and had more than enough room for double the number of people. There is so much good food nearby!

One bedroom suites, short walk to the beach and only a mile walk to San Clemente Pier. The rooms are clean and the staff is courteous. We stay here every year.

Cool place, the rec area and pool are good. The pool is a little small so it can get quite crowded easily but it definitely will cool you off in the summer, and if it's too crowded the beach is just a few minutes walk. Nice place.

Excellent hotel. Our suite was large and beautifully appointed. Very satisfied!

Location is amazing. Walking distance from the beach. The rooms were good. They are a 3 star hotel so it's not fancy but you can put your boards on the balcony and feel good about it. Decor is comfortable but not fancy or modern. I'd stay there again for location and since it's very casual. Forgot to mention pool, hot tub, shuffleboard and mini golf. And free movie rental with your stay.

The hotel room was exactly what we expected. We had 5 people sleep in the room comfortably, and were able to make breakfast in the kitchen with the provided utensils and stovetop. There are plenty of activities available and it's perfect for family vacations.

Loved it slept good and loved their entertainment such as the pool, jacuzzi, pool tables.

The rooms are great. Very clean with personal balconies. The kitchenettes are the perfect size stocked with all the utensils you might need. It is very close to the beach, shopping, and all kinds of dining. The pool, hot tub, and lobby area were all well maintained as well. Would stay again.

Very friendly staff and environment that makes you feel almost at home… nothing too fancy just simple fun.

The front desk could be a little blue l more helpful but other than that the service is superb.

It's a nice little hotel located near the ocean. We had thought there was an ocean view, and when we asked for one, they said no problem. We got the "ocean view" which is a nice outlook over their back area which has a mini golf course that guests can play, a couple of nice outdoor covered patios with comfy outdoor furniture, and a view of the state park and RV Camp. The ocean is past the RV park and can't be seen from the room we got. The rooms are recently redone, I believe. Nice furniture and a little kitchen (minus the oven). It is kept clean and it may not be central air but the electric HVAC on the side of the wall works well (just wish it had either a timer or a thermostat). You can walk to the RV park or drive. From the RV park, the beach is not too far. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm told that there are two wings, the one we stayed in, and then the other one is being remodeled.

Very good for the price. A lot to do during your stay. Definitely will be back.

The location of the San Clemente Inn is absolutely perfect. It's a quick walk to the beach, but not too close to where you feel crowded. Lots of space and the rooms were very clean, especially considering the excellent rates at which they run.

We booked several rooms for our daughter's wedding months in advance. The hotel first represented that they had annex rooms by downtown area, they lied. Then, the morning after the wedding the hotel staff stole several large and VERY expensive flower arrangements and pieced these out among the room maids. The event was aweful. It was like being in a third world country, only worse. Management would do nothing even when they saw their maids walking around with our flowers. Better to stay at the "Y" than this place. Would have given it a minus 1 if possible.

The management is rude and inconsiderate. Their parking lots are not painted correctly and we almost got towed. My kids came home with hand mouth and foot disease from their pool or from the hotel room. Not happy.

We LOVED this place! Pictures do not do this place justice! Awesome staff and great family friendly rooms! We will be back.

Luved our stay here. It was an excellent room for the money. Very large slept 6 or 7 people full kitchen with new appliances and all the little things like new dish and silverware and a good size refrigerator. 2 bathrooms a large deck a big swimming pool separate hot tubs for kids and adults shuffleboard charcoal and gas grills on the property. Is a family friendly environment and only about a three block walk to the beach. I highly recommend this place I think you'll enjoy it especially if you have kids. Oh, and they had some fun things too like ping pong and pool table on the lower level of the lobby. The drag queen show on Saturday night was a little weird but hey what are you going to do? I would absolutely stay here again.

What a great place to eat, the waitresses were so friendly and the food was awesome. Adele is over the top kind and makes sure everyone that dines there has a good experience and plenty of great food to eat.

We just stayed at the San Clemente Inn last weekend. I cannot say enough about the location, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff and value for the reservation. The rooms were very nice with full-sized refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and a 2 burner cook top. We didn't get to use the putt putt golf, shuffle board or pool, but they all looked wonderful. The place was clean and updated. We are hoping our friends plan another vacation so we can stay there again.

So so. A more accurate name would be Little Inn By The Freeway.

This is the worst place to stay. Dont let the pictures fool you. The rooms are dirty, the front desk is inconsiderate by putting party and drunkards next to family rooms. Called to complain about noise being made until morning and they said they cannot do anything about it, police was called and did nothing as well. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a time share. Never again we will stay here again.

Food is amazing. Staff is friendly and fun. Prices are great. You will not leave hungry. Adele is an absolutely wonderful, kind and warm hearted person. We had the pleasure of meeting her and not only did we enjoy an awesome breakfast but she made us feel like we were family visiting home. I left there with a very happy heart and a huge smile on my face. I'm very thankful that there are good people like her in the food business. I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Simply great. Ultra clean, it is like a condo. You have everything and more than you could need. Close the beach and freeway.

We travelled around America for three and a half weeks and this place was the best by far. We had only booked one night but after seeing what it had we immediately booked another 3 (they matched the expedia price for the first night) and stayed there instead of moving on. Friendliest and most helpful staff we have encountered — excellent facilities, excellent for the price. Only problem was the Wi-Fi which didn't work in our room so well — however outside and in the lobby the reception was better. Definitely worth staying here. 9/10.

The front desk staff is nice and helpful! Even though the hotel is a little older, the place is very well maintained. There are tennis courts, heated pool, bbq grills and a free movies! Great location just a short walk to the beach. The rooms are fully stocked with all your household needs! I've had a pleasant stay.

I have eaten at Adele's many times and everything my companions and I have ordered has been just fabulous! The service is friendly and prompt. The food is better than homemade and Adele is very personable. About the clods who gave this restaurant one star. I seriously doubt you ever had a meal at Adele's.

Seriously, this place blows. Rudest waitresses in san clemente. Totally mediocre food and the charm of a herpes blister.
