The best little hotel in Newport Beach. It's on the western end of Newport which is nice because it's not overly crowded. It's a short bike ride to Newport Pier, Balboa Beach or Huntington Beach. The hotel has chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, towels and toys to borrow for being a guest. This place is my favorite for summer vacation.

Great family hotel with a roof top deck, boogie boards, beach towels, chairs and umbrella. Theres even a great bike shop next door to rent from. We will keep coming back here on family vacation.

This is a nice motel with a playground in the back for the kids or the Beach which is right across from the motel. Room was nice the TV has free on demand which was really nice.

Within walking distance from the beach. Has beach chairs, towels, toys and boogie boards that can be borrowed for your day at the beach. We have been a frequent visitor.

This is a nice small motel off hwy 1, right across the street from the Beach. It is away from the pier crowd. There is a playground right behind the hotel, for those with kids. The Beach is just a couple of blocks walk. They offer free boogie boards, Beach towels, Beach chairs and umbrellas. The only issue is that it is an older motel, so the wall are a little thin, and parking is tight.

We checked in at night and checked out early. It's a cool little place. Reasonable rates and the rooms, although dated are decent. In the one night we were there it served us well. Close to the beach and Disney isn't very far.

My family has stayed at the Newport Channel Inn twice now. It's the perfect place for our family. We love that they provide so many extras, like towels, chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys as well as a map "tour" of the area. They were very friendly and helpful. The second time we stayed, I received a media rate in exchange for a review on my site which I was happy to give, to help spread the word about this great hotel that is so close to the beach. There is also a park right behind it which my kids loved.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Newport Channel Inn on two occasions within a month's time. Both experiences were wonderful! I loved the location, close to the beach, and the amenities were very nice (comfortable bed and bedding). On the first occasion I had a difficult time with a noisy neighbor which kept me up all night. Bradley attended to this and kindly asked the party to leave. He was attentive to ensure that all was well during both visits! Good job staff, especially Bradley! I will definitely be staying here again.

I really liked the room we got last night, it’s a corner room with 4 beds and there’s a big Terrance where the kids enjoyed. Very convenient, and close to the beach.

My family has been staying at the Channel Inn for years! It is our go to for Southern California vacationing! I recently stayed here with my sweetheart on the last stop for our honeymoon. We love this nice, cute, very clean gem hidden along the coast! The staff is wonderful, the location is prime and it is always reasonably priced! Do yourself a favor and stay here!

I stopped by here yesterday to take a couple of photos of the sign. In 1984 my wife and I satyed here on our honeymoon. We were VERY young — I was 17 and she was 16 — no, she wasn't pregnant. That love is still alive and kickin! We now live in Florida but I came to town on business and took a drive down memory lane. The exterior of the property was just as I remembered it. I would love to stay here again, the next time we are both in SoCal together.

We loved this place! Special touches were complimentary use of beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards. It is a short walk to the beach. We also liked plenty of places to plug devices in to charge in the room. The room was clean and comfortable.

Although the motel is right on the street, you don't hear anything in the room. Air conditioning is super quiet. Staff very friendly. It's really cool that you get beach umbrellas, beach towels and even bodyboards for free. Very cool for the price. Cycling shop with rental right next to it.

Nice and clean hotel close to the beach, the staff is really nice. They provide beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys and boogie boards made going to the beach super easy. Close to little restaurants and has two parks close by that are fun, also the channel running into the ocean is nice to walk along.
