Review of Super 8 by Wyndham Auburn 2*

Your manager (the Indian man) came out of his office yelling at me and accusing me of destroying his room. My daughter had every intention of cleaning the tub when we got back. She had used the same products at her home and cleaned up everything without a problem using vinegar and baking soda. Not only did your manager not give me an opportunity to explain this, he yelled that he had charged $200 for the "damages" I caused. He was mean and accusatory. Yes, I walked out mad. I was so upset I informed my family we were leaving immediately. The shower curtain (that did not work, btw) needed to be replaced because of the stain we caused. Because of the manager's rudeness I lost a night I prepaid for, I was not given the opportunity to finish cleaning up our miss, and I was charged $200 before I even had the ability to check out. I have never been treated so unfairly at in my life, not to mention the public humiliation I felt. There was no hospitality or customer service from the manager. Besides all that, the room was dated, dingy and small. The toilet backed up and I had to unclog it myself (which was not caused by feces, btw, it simply wouldn't flush). There wasn't a single available outlet, and half the lights didn't work. The breakfast that was available was boxed cereal, a loaf of bread and packages processed pastries (the kind of food you find in a vending machine). The room refrigerater was rusted and unable to adjust the temperature so all of our food had to be thrown out because it froze our produce. I also had to remove two spiders on two separate occasions. I never once complained about any of that while I was there but now I have to expose how terrible this entire experience has been for me.
