Absolutely loved the Suite rooms and the decorations. The hot water conservation shower heads are genius and appreciated. The mountain views behind the rooms off the patio are gorgeous. The pool was clean & awesome and food from the Grille delicious. We would definitely return to this resort.

Kids loved the activities at the pool and putting green… spacious clean room Good food at the Grille!

Great place to be for a social distancing va/staycation! Spacious, beautiful, clean rooms. Great staff. Food area was closed due to Covid19, but all kind of restaurants in close driving distance. This will be our staycation destination!

We have stayed here several times. Check in is easy, all staff are nice, the complex is super well kept up, walking path is nice, the pool is great and the barbecues appreciated.

We purchased a timeshare at this resort 20+ yrs ago and are very pleased with the upkeep and staff!

The staff at the front desk was so rude. The rooms looked the we were still in the 70s. The drinks and food were so bad and way over priced. The photos on their site looks nothing like the rooms. And they gave us a room right by the highway even know MOST of the rooms were empty. If you can go anywhere else do so.

We have Royal Holiday Timeshare and this is a participating property. We always stay here because of the friendly staff, a very clean pool & jacuzzi with extended hours and it’s close proximity to EVERYTHING. Absolutely love it and would recommend a stay there to anyone.

Just got back from this amazing Resort! We have been coming here for years. Staff is very friendly. Our unit was very nice and clean. Lots of activities to do and the resort is very close to everything. We will be coming back and staying here.

Nice loft unit. Pool, tennis courts, grill restaurant… very comfortable.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa. It was very clean with plenty of room. We enjoyed the free amenities such as playground, mini golf, dvd rentals, breakfast and the warm pools. Kiddie pool was great for our toddler. We enjoyed massages as the spa. We would take our family back in a heart beat. Great location from the airport and Phoenix tourist attractions.

The hotel was disgusting and the management was rude. They never made up or cleaned the room and the towels were dirty. I would never recommend anyone stay at this dump of a hotel. And I got sick while staying there probably due to the toxicity in the rooms if I had to guess. They also charged me another night stay for staying in the room part checkout which I didn’t and had to dispute it on the credit card.

Fabulous accommodations with all the amenities of home. Would definitely recommend this resort. From experience would like to see a better communication experience for forgotten items… to be able to provide contact information and more assistance to possible help with the return.

Beware of this resort. The breakfast is 6.99 per person and for that you get to make your own waffle or eat a danish and yogurt. The activities that they post for free are NOT. It is 25.00 unless you bring your own clubs, balls, rackets etc. We were told when we got there. The spa was broken they said they were waiting for parts. The movies are 3.00 a person for each movie. They do not have a happy hour, as one would expect, they have their own expensive happy hour menu. The accommodations were clean, giving 1 star, The thermostat is upstairs so you have to freeze in the bedrooms to make the downstairs comfortable. Plus, the blower is so loud it was like sleeping next to an exhaust fan.

Our stay was great. In unit D10. Room was updated, kitchen updated, nice bedrooms, nice colors. Carpet was clean, looked newer. Bed was comfy. We used the pool every day we were there. Played bacce ball, horseshoes, and used the putting greens and played shuffleboard around the pool as well. Staff at resort were very friendly. The only negative comment I have is I think the resort could should get another pool. I would rate 4.5 stars for our stay. 5 stars if they had another pool. (take out 1 of your tennis courts for another pool? )

I spent most of my time at the pool, which is so relaxing! There's a poolside bar and grille which is great, but mainly I kicked back in the pool and enjoyed the kiddie pool! The water was great and there's shade to protect you from the blazing sun.

We've stayed here multiples times since 2013, and keep coming back because of the location, big rooms and beautiful grounds. The villas are spacious with a Southwest theme. The units are old but aging well. The studios and 2-bedrooms are both great. Unfortunately, this trip was the first time I've ever seen bugs in the units. We stayed in the 2-bedroom next to the playground. The grout in the kitchen has worn away, letting in bugs. It wasn't a big deal but a bit disappointing. The salt-water pool is great and they have a kiddie pool that our 3-year-old loves. There are plenty of outdoor games, a mini putting green, propane grills, volleyball pit, tennis courts and walking path. The location is near the mall and the Scottsdale Waterfront.

My family and I came to this resort from Washington for a long time friends 50th bday and it was amazing! It was supposed to be a “girls” weekend but my children are boys so they got an exception to hang with us for a little bit at the pool, the kiddy pool was covered and perfect for my 6 month old baby, which you don’t find at many pools. The food was pretty good too and the bartenders did a good job giving free drinks when they mixed up the order. And the staff at the cont…inental breakfast made sure we were happy and even put out new food or refilled when we showed up a bit too late. Most places say too bad. We had a 3 bedroom suite and between all of us ladies that were staying there it only cost me $75 for 4 days. I didn’t seem to have the issues to the extreme the other reviews I read about the rooms being too small or cold water or slow “room service”. I mean, one of the ladies experienced some cold water but when we went to check on it we didn’t have the same problem she did (maybe operator error lol hahaha Teri) and when we needed the ac turned up just a tad and a lightbulb replaced, “Mr Juan” was right there within 15 mins, fixed it and asked if there was anything else he could do for us ladies.

Room quaint, clean, and had all the cooking supplies we needed. We rented a villa. It as awesome. Pooll n bar great n hot tub so great in evening could relax w a drink.

We stayed there while attending a family wedding. We had 3 generations of family staying in two 6 person suites. Rooms were nice with all the amenities of home. Full size kitchen, washer and dryer nice size patio. Pool area was very nice would only be better if they had a lazy river running through it. Corn hole, volleyball and tennis courts. We all had fun!

Nice property, rooms spacious and well equipped. Only gripe about the place would be the showers. The master leaked all over the floor due to a missing threshold on the door. The hall bath had such a poor flow that it was hard to even get wet. I understand low flow, but this was no flow. Other than that, the rest of the room was neat and tidy.

This is a nice resort to stay at with nice amenities. The pool is lovely after a hot day and the beds and rooms are comfy.

Stayed in the Barcelona Villa. 3 bdrm/2 bath. So incredibly nice and worth the cost. The place is perfect for family vacay, gatherings, weddings and so much more. You are given a full kitchen with almost everything you could possibly need. If you have never stayed in a villa before, make this your first stop. This place makes you feel right at home, not having that "hotel" vibe. They have multiple activities, a spa, a theater and more. Now, the only negative part about my stay was unfortunately having to hear a large dog barking throughout the night when it's owner would take him out. Being this hotel states they don't allow pets, I'm unsure why this dog was permitted, especially after so much excessive noise. Over all, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend checking it out the next time you are in Scottsdale, AZ.

Facilities are dated, but met expectations. Good location to restaurants and sports bars, and old Scottsdale. Several within two miles of the facility. They have a restaurant and also happy hour at the pool bar. Felt prices were on the high side, but it is considered a resort. We did not eat or drink at the facility. Our accommodations backed to Camelback Road. Lots of street noise and with the brick walls, not much air flow or sights on the patio. After all is said, we would probably stay there again. Timeshare exchanges are difficult to find in this area, end of March and April.

Such a beautiful resort. It was very clean. There are so many fun things to do while staying there. Everyone was so nice.

This is a great place I've been going for many many years with my family for spring training, and now in the process of purchasing a unit for myself. It's clean well kept and great location and plenty of things to do. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I had a spa day and it was amazing! Robin gave me a fabulous massage! Alicia's facial was wonderful and my daughter was extremely happy with her services as well!

Solid 3-star level accommodations. Nice tennis courts, with half of one also having a quality basketball backboard. Complimentary continental breakfast was okay… nothing noteworthy. Unit was clean and well-appointed but some niggling problems with faucets, rattling refrigerator, etc.

We had a pleasant ground level room for a week. However, only one fence between us inside and the very busy noisey traffic on the main road in front. Could not even talk inside well with the sliding door open.

Oh my! On my bucket list to stay there! We go for Happy hour and watch the sun set. So beautiful and the drinks and food are to die for❣️

I was pleased with this place overall with a stay in early January. I would definitely come back here. It was difficult to see from the road. Parking was adequate. Check in was painless. I was given plenty of information about the amenities and activities on site. While I didn't participate in anything the resort offered, I did go out and see the town with some moderate hiking included. Kitchen was well stocked and the living area was comfortable. The beds were a little stiffer than I am used to but that is a personal preference, everyone's will be different. The bedding was tightly wrapped. Almost had to completely unmake the bed to keep the blankets on at night. I didn't use the TV so I can't vouch for it. Staff was awesome!

Excellent place to stay. Helpful and friendly. Great guests too. I've been visiting this resort for 19 years and each year there are upgrades done somewhere on the property.

Make sure you have everything thats important and expensive locked up before housekeepers come in my daughter left a gold necklace out in her room right by the TV and we left for the day, came back and the necklace was gone after the housekeepers had been in are room. I wonder if it was the same housekeeper that cleaned the room from another review I read from a month ago of a lady that forgot some jewelry and never got it back.

Nice sized room. Shower could use some work with warm water not being readily available.

A quiet, comfortable place, free Wi-fi, just the pool water too warm the water, a little hotter.

My wife and I each had a facial and full body massage. I had never had a facial, but found it to be amazing. Both my wife and I have had many massages over the years but rate our experience at Running Water as one of the best experiences we've had. As owners we hope the resort continues to invest money in the spa.

Excellent experience. Rooms are spacious, the pool and hot tubs are clean, and the poolside grille/bar are convenient. Only a few hours from the Grand Canyon and Valley of Monuments. Having a kitchen helped save on meal costs.

The location of the resort in relation to museums, malls and eateries was great. The unit we had was plagued with two problems that definitely need to be fixed by the resort : 1) the shower's water pressure was extremely week, 2) the tub drained very, very, very slowly. It was quite a nuisance even though there were only two of us. Because of the extremely weak water pressure, it took us a long time to finish showering. Then, to make matters worse, it took 30-45 minutes for the water to completely drain from the tub. Sad.

The hotel is quietly tucked away in a calm part of Scottsdale so there is no heavy traffic noise nearby. The room I looked at was more like a little condo that was 2 stories! They have a fun little mini golf course that my children loved!

Love the setting of this resort, with Camelback Mountain practically in your backyard. Our year is not complete without a visit to this place. Pool/bar is great place to forget all else. Great, accommodating staff too. And awesome tennis courts.

Great Stay! We only stayed one night, but would have loved to stay longer. The late (4pm) check in and early check out (10am) kept it from being 5 star to me.

I've been coming here for years and love the location and staff. I also highly recommend it to people. It can be a very social vacation stop. You will meet people that have been coming here for years, but they can be very friendly and welcoming. Did I mention that I love the location? Easy walk into downtown Scottsdale, the Fashion Mall and Old Town, fancy an ice cream? Plenty to try before you give up and return to the Sugar Bowl! Also the free tram that runs from the Fashion Mall will get you acquainted with the whole of Old Town.

This resort was a nice place for a girls weekend. The spa was great and the services were excellent. The office staff could be a bit more professional and organized.

Room was great had a 3 bedroom Casita over looking the tennis courts. Could sleep 8 people no problem.

Great pool for kids of all ages. Hot tub is HOT and not for young ones. Have really enjoyed the covered kids pool to keep the little ones out of the direct sun. Camelback is just a 15 minute walk away to one of two trailheads. Internet is OK, but I'm here on vacation and trying to disconnect a little bit. Great shopping only a 15 minute walk to the mall and Old Scottsdale is a close drive also. Been coming here for about 10 years now and always looking forward to coming back!

Have stayed here two nights with family and will be getting out of here today to stay at another resort. Seems clearly the place is for the much older crowd. Though they have a jacuzzi, your kids are not allowed to relax in it. Internet is sporadic at best, and of course when you need it — it doesn't work at all as apparently a wireless router is in every third villa. Don't get stuck in a villa that's the third one away unless you enjoy seeing "no network found" constantly. The free breakfast is a joke, especially considering this is a "resort". It consists of a couple of cereal choices, a few crusty mini muffins… and that's it. Eggs/bacon or sausage or anything normal? Forget it. Need to do laundry? Good luck. Our villa has a single unit washer/dryer combo… and only the washer worked. So my wife washed some clothes, only to be have to drape them on the patio chairs for a day to let them dry. Maid service? Apparently if you're a time-share owner, you get it daily. As a paltry "guest", you only get it every three days… nice little bonus you find out a day or two after checking in. Like anyone else, we work hard to enjoy a few one week vacations each year, and are very experienced in travel. This is the worst place we've ever stayed, are are checking out tomorrow to salvage the remaining days.

Location is very close to lots of night life. Room was great, only complaint would be that the master bathroom smelled like musty water.

Rooms were great! It had everything we needed! Staff were always available and helpful! We will be coming back, but wish stay was cheaper!

Everything about this hotel was very good rooms, pool, food. All with a unique atmosphere and feel.

Stayed here for a few days last week and waited until 2:00 for them to clean the room and then they didn't even make up one of the beds on one of the days. Had to call the front staff about that. Also the food at the restaurant was not good (the BLT tasted like it was a couple days old and the buffalo chicken wrap was disgusting). At one point, there seemed to be a problem with the poolside bar staff as all of a sudden a couple managers showed up and pulled the bartender in the back saying "we need to talk". It felt uncomfortable for all of us sitting at the bar. And in the meantime the manager "watching" the bar just watched tv. Anyway, I would not stay here again.

Awesome place. Really nice Vila and great location. Nice pool, views. Great staff. And a fully stocked full size kitchen. Will be back again.

We stayed here via a time-share with my girlfriend for the vfw convention we go to every year. I will say that this private little resort is very accomidating and can put the step in your foot to an everlasting peacfull, yet playfull time that enable everyody to have fun. Me and the boys ere able to hike Camelback mountain which is the best mountain in phoenix to hike. I would recommend staying at this resort when you would like to get away to a nice private resort that you can go out and do anything and everything, and have anything and everything back at the resort when you return. (in a private luxury type setting. My review is all thunbs up, thanks again, Bret, Melissa and the boys, ustin and calvin and koshi.
