Knights Inn Fairground Hotel

This place sucks. Air don't work. Rooms over priced. House keeping sucks. No ice machines. And most rooms in horrible condition. Not to mention the drug addicts that gets high and call rooms or knock on doors in the middle of the night. I give thisa negative ten rating!

I wasn't a guest for the night but I did drop by to visit a friend who was staying over night. The room was of pretty decent size, alot larger than I thought it would be. The room had two a/c units but only one was working and the broken one looked somewhat old. And there was also a big dead roach in the bathroom. I have been there before and at that time my stay was much better than my friends.

Very nice. I live here since april. Very sweet people.

Rooms are terrible. Dirty smells and out dated. Bathroom has cigarette burns every where. Linens have burn holes. Need new one. Need new furniture aswell. Just awful. No good customer service. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

To start, the blonde with the bad haircut at the front desk was rude and don't feel she treated me with the respect she would have to someone who was older. I was staying with my ESA and advised her I had my service dog with me (use that terminology because most people do not always understand what a 'support' animal is so it's easier and saves time/explaining). She takes my information, as I'm filling out the paperwork she feels the need with attitude to correct me and tell me "By the way. A service animal and support animal are two completely different things. " With a smirk on her face. As if I'm unaware what services and certification my own animal has/provides to me. She waits until she completely checks me in to tell me they require a cash only deposit of $20. (Which doesn't make sense anyway why would you take a refundable deposit as cash and give it back before even checking the room after I leave? ) Which was not mentioned anywhere in my confirmation email and an inconvenience as I had to leave to get cash so I wouldn't get charged a $4 fee at their ATM. THEN get to the room and the tub is leaking and the toilet barely works or flushes properly, no remote for the tv, and when we left we moved our bags and two roaches ran out from underneath. Finally I'm leaving at 11am and let her know I have to drop off my uhaul real quick and will return for my vehicle and she tells me I better hurry because she's going to have our cars towed at noon!

Do not stay here even if it is the last open room in Phoniex. I had to ask for a TV remote. A/C unit all but non functioning Pet policy cost me a beautiful 6 week old kitten. They say they have a pet policy, but they do not. Every 2 hours I got up to use my remote start to keep the car cool for them. Apparently one of my cats hit the power window button and Tyger escaped. Those pictures of my little Tyger who is now missing. I am in tears and beyond words. They didn't even offer to help find the little one. They are just beyond pathetic. I beg of you not to stay here! This place is a dump.

Most horrifying dirty and expensive lower end class hotel more of a 2hr quick pick motel once you walk in. Room service employees do not assist or help you with absolutely anything and never have anything extra available to provide you with to something as simple as an extra towell or pillow. Most beat up dirty drug feening infested location. Your better of paying a couple bucks more to get at least a 2 star motel wich beats this no star motel.

Roach in the bathroom, peeling paint on the walls, a barely patched over hole where someone had punched through the bathroom door, cigarette burns in all the linens, and inexplicably two beer bottle caps glued to the ceiling. It's next to a strip club and people are loudly coming in and out of neighboring rooms all night long. Didn't feel safe and didn't feel clean. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car.

Not the best hotel but nice staff and they are slowly but surely remodeling all the rooms. Room 146 is very nice.

I'm really not sure where to start, lots of room for improvement. I can pretty much relate to all the reviews. And it being priced the way it is there's no surprise the crowd it attracts. They are people too and some may not have made the best choices in life but it's there's to do so. And I'm sure they are grateful to have a place to stay for a night or so.

It is what it is — a cheap hotel, however the staff in the office are friendly and accommodating. It is an old hotel and it shows, but as the saying goes — you get what you pay for.

Please listen… this place is nasty, dirty. Do NOT go here. This is not an exaggeration. Never, never again. I would give less than 1 star if I could. Don't try it.

Roaches in the room! When I was checking in Front desk said “if there is anything wrong let me know and we will refund your money instantly” I should have went with my gut. But I talked my self out of it. Went up to the room. It had a nasty smell, and roaches were in the walls. It didn’t look welcoming at all. Didn’t feel Safe. Avoid place and save yourself some tome!

Decent to sleep for the night but you don't feel safe by any means. The door has major damages and it's almost painful to open and shut close to impossible. If the light switches were black from dirt. When the owner tells you at check in to leave the room like you found it so he could rent it to someone after you leave… that says alot. Definitely over priced for what you get. Ice machine was even broken.

I wish I could pick no stars. Had a room reserved. Got here at 2 and was told to come back in an hour because there were no rooms clean. Finally got into the room and found an old sandwich on the closet rack. Called office about 5 minutes after being in room 5 hours later no one has come to clean room yet. Room smelt like piss. Wall plates falling off wall. Cant plug phone into outlet because it will fall out. Bedspread full of holes. Lamp cord taped together. I refused to plug it in as long as I was in room. Ice machine broke. No towels. Paint chipping. Gnats flying around room. No shampoo or conditioner. No remote for tv. No one provided wi fi password. Blood on walls. Office acted upset when asked for a smoking room. GROSS! Stay away at all cost!

Yucko! Good if you wanna pay by the hour. Rooms smell bad like mildew. Most often rooms occupied by groups running prostitution and illegal drugs. NOT appropriate for kids.

Very economical, but not that means that you can not sleep comfortable, too much noise, arrives super late people and it seems that they are in front of your door screaming when in fact they are more retired but so it seems. It has free Wi-Fi that. It's super good but it fails too much, I don't know. Sleep. The truth.

Now its like they are family. Im catching myself grabbing the excess trash outside on my way to the dumpster. Good people. Listening to the workers table saw cutting the wood for the beautiful hardwood floors for the remodel. Yes, a motel room with hardwood floors. Knights Inn. Why wouldnt it be hard wood?

I would give a negative star if I could. This place is absolutely disgusting. Customer service is terrible, the hotel is surrounded and occupied by homeless people and the security doesn't look better. I couldn't tell the difference between the bums and security. The second I walked into the room I was choking on the smell of mold. The walls were disgusting. They were literally covered in yellow dripping stains from all the smoking that took place in there over the years. Holes in the walls, air conditioner falling off the wall. The sheets were dirty and don't get me started on the bathroom. I didn't last not even a full 5 mins before I went running back to cancel my room and ask for a refund. Oh and mind you they tried to deny the refund on top of the fact that they still over charged me. You couldn't pay me to stay there, so I advise you to not waste a dime on a room there.

The hotel is in rough shape, (aged), they have no laundry facilities, the ice machine doesnt even work. I was mad until I was passing out ice cubes from the large bag I walked to the store and bought and I talked with people and saw that they are re modeling this whole place which includes good furniture, hardwood flooring, etc. They have all of the repairs needed on thier list. So as of now its in rough shape but they are taking care of it and not only that, they are improving it. A hotel with real hardwood flooring? The owner must be "vintage". Kudos to this place. Not to mention the incredible, and understanding staff. A plus in my book. A+ for affordable places to stay.

Poor quality stay. No wash cloths or soap for washing. Has roaches. Poor neighborhood. Not much helpful for anything. Poor shower. Dirty chair in room.

We have stayed here quite a few times. It may have looked kind of scary from the outside, but have had no problems. Actually pretty quite for the most part. Love the new renovations! Awful and disgusting! Beds are like sleeping on the floor and are very old! The linens are stained and gross! Pretty much everything was stained and old! The only thing I could possibly say was a plus was the size of the rooms…

Property is very rundown and in need of basic repairs. Trash of all kinds was under our bed which was evident because the bed frame was pulled away from the wall before we arrived. Won't come back.

Kinda sketchy but left alone in the room. Very basic amenities, no fridge or microwave parking is plenty but also kinda sketch. Nice big bed, old ass TV and small bathroom. But for $45 cant beat it.

Bed Bugs. I've stayed at Knights Inn several times, knowing it's not the cleanest, not everything works, and that there is not a fridge or microwave in the rooms as advertised. I've tolerated the dealers and ho's knocking on my door by mistake. The price is cheap. Friday I woke to something biting me. And scurrying across the sheet, a bed bug. Management only offered to send the maintenance man, and I was reminded of the No Return policy. Really? I'm looking into filing a formal complaint, and have already filed a report with the health department. I have to give it 1 star, or Google will not post this.

This place is so dirty! Found a condom wrapper on the side of the bed. I don't think they even vaccum this room. I will not come here again. Just driving through… should have drove 10 more miles. Don't stop here.

Rooms ok bugs everywhere tho. Online says 35 I ended up paying 48 to stay for ten hours. Tv works everything works but could be better. Says non smoking but smells of smoke. Wont come here ever again.

Helped a couple and their two kids find a place near 27th are and McDowell till they where able be to get money in the morning. Price is $32 but ended up at $65. They paid for room but we took them there since the price was $32. Smelled like sewer water when we helped them in to their room. Hopefully it will be a good night for them.

The place was fairly small, but clean. The rooms were tiny, but again, clean. Management wasn't the most helpful I've ever encountered as she claimed not to have change for a $20 bill; and I highly doubt that. Overall… it pretty well measures up to the price you pay nightly. Mediocre at best.

There can be a very tough crowd at this Knights Inn. Overnight travelers should be aware and protect themselves. Service was okay. Location near the interstate. The rooms are adequate for the price.

First room was infested with bugs and had a rancid odor. No knobs on any of the dressers, phone did not work and had the numbers missing. There were no appliances at all in the first room. We called the front desk to have the room changed and they were accommodating. In the second room, it was a bit better, no bugs in view. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Toilet did not flush.

Bugs crawling around the first room, no appliances, broken phone, no knobs on any dressers or furniture, and rancid odor. Asked for a room change and staff was accommodating. Our second room was slightly better, no bugs in sight at least. There was also a microwave and mini fridge which was missing in the first room. Toilet did not flush.

It's the scariest place ive ever been to. It's rampant with hookers, pumps and crackheads. My out of town friends found 2 syringes full of blood with the needles broken off, 2 crack pipes and half a dozen used condoms outside their door. Room service is non existent. If you ask for a towel, they berate you in Spanish. It's a great place to stay if you're looking to score drugs, get robbed or just wanting a place to completely abandon all self respect and hope.

Not happy I brought my kid here but I guess as an adult it's fine for the price. Book on Wyndham rewards otherwise u pay too much. The pool was nice the room was decent ugly but comfy beds. Many channels. Not family friendly with the way the other guests were acting all hours of the night.

March 16th — wrote We will not give this a star as zero, just suck star of one… At place is so AWFULLY more than terrible, bedroom and pillows are so dirty with like dirty water or mold, the maids are so lazy and never take care of dirty toitle have give anyone get sick and get std or any of infection who people get. The blanket are so old and never new or never laundry, smell like dust and old like in 90's or something, dry blood wall like was murdered or fought in years ago, they kept lazy and not change or cleans anywhere, There have a bedbug and drugs plus too dangerous in around. They didnt clean the wall had dirty shades — Don't get pay that place! We won't stay for 2 days and left for good!

Terrible. $120+ for a garbage room. Lightbulbs missing, a huge hole in the ceiling from water damage not fixed yet, left over taco sauce just laying in the bathroom. Not very safe feeling either. Very old tv. Needs a ton of TLC and then some. Almost rather sleep in the car.

Didn't even make it off the car (I have kids with me) this place is NOT FAMILY ORIENTED. The place is more like low income apartments with tenants smoking marijuana outside like it's okay. I told expedia and the front desk but no refund. Druggies standing around in the parking lot. I Paid through PayPal and reserved through expedia. The front desk Refused to refund us our money.

BEWARE! This place should be shut down I personally called the Health Dept… it has bugs mice! YES! MICE! They come out from everywhere and jump on everything! Its horrendous! The ceilings leak all my things got wet, they stink like mold and stale! It was a nightmare and the Manager is a horrible excuse of a human being she wouldn't gv me any compensation whatsoever and was a real angry crabby rude woman!

I wish they had negative stars cause that's what this place deserves. We made reservations for Saturday when we arrived to the hotel first thing we saw where nothing but crack heads everywhere. We when into the front desk we checked in and as soon as we started driving around the building looking for parking their was a mess all around the hotel their was dirty nasty mattress, sofas, cabinets, all around just standing on the walls. Their where crack head people in their cars doing drugs and just spying on people that would drive in most likely they where spying trying to check who could they robe into. Also when we notice that the place didn't look safe we decided to go check on the 2 units that we got and what was our biggest surprise? was that both of the rooms where not cleaned at all not even a cleaner had been in the rooms. Also when we open the doors to check the rooms they smelled nothing but cigars inside witch it was disgusting also the furniture was old and dirty the beds where super dirty and the mattress where ripped and carpets where filthy super dirty all stained it seemed that they haven't been cleaned for years.

The room was fine. The room had no tuallas. Besides that my visit was not bad.

Unpleasant people gathered outside my room awaiting something. They were rude/intimidating/dirty/a nuisance and seemed as though to me that they weren't even guests at the hotel as far as I could tell.

It's ok… Not the best. Right off the freeway. Was not given the password to Internet even tho it said free. Should have to ask for it. Microwave and frig, not coffee pot tho.

I can't give them a 16th of a Star so I guess one will have to do. To stay positive I can honestly say the rooms have walls and a door… thats the only good thing I can think of.

Worse room ever. Drug addicts everywhere. Drug addicts in and out of rooms all night. The non smoking rooms smell like an ash tray. This place is the worst place ever, do not stay here you will be horrified.

I don't know where to begin but damn this place should be out of business. My room had roaches it smelled like piss and the shower and toilet did not work by far the worst hotel experience I have ever been through.

Long story short. He tried to charge us twice and wouldn't give us a room until well after we needed one. Even tho we paid in advance. Very rude and inconsiderate. His business etiquette is garbage.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at first room we book was right next to 4 other rooms that have caught fire due to meth labs so he gave us a new room which smelled worse than the other and not even 5 rooms down from us was people selling drugs right out their door and the apartment did nothing police were even called. And we deciced to leave and the owner charge us a full day and charged us for the next day even tho we had only been there for 3 hours do not stay here avoid at all cost warning.

Roaches on walls, room needed major repair, complex is rundown, no attention to detail plus homeless drug attic Tennant's would not stay again.

Wow. This place is incredibly awful! My boyfriend, with good intentions, booked me this room. He's not from Arizona and I suppose he didn't recognize the area from the address. When we walk into the room we try and turn on the lights. First lamp we try doesn't work. Second lamp we try doesn't work. Third time is a charm and we are immediately horrified! Stains on every surface of this place. The curtains have questionable white stains, every wall is stained, the pictures have stains on them, the carpet, the marble sink top, everything. Cigarette burns everywhere. I decide I am not sleeping under the covers, but on top of them. My boyfriend insists he will get cold so he pulls the bedspread back. Noooo! The sheets are stained, cigarette burned, and my pillow is stained with blood. The walls of the shower are covered in pubic hair that someone banged out of their razor. The first 3 nights I was subjected to someone blaring mariachi music until midnight. The next 2 nights, some teenagers blaring dance music. Out of the 8 lights in the place, only 3 had working light bulbs in them. Because I had errands to do on checkout day, we tried to get them to extend the checkout time. They agreed, for $250. Lol. If you're stuck in this place, I hope you have a sense of humor because that's the only way you'll survive. Also, no refund policy. So if you book the room, you're stuck with it, before you even get to see these horrors.

Completely disgusted, I reserved 2 rooms both of wich were gross, tagging on the mirrors, no light bulbs in any fixtures period, greese on walls, the bed looked like a carboard box with a cloth thrown on it, smelled super bad, people actually living in the rooms there with there doors wide open blasting music trash everywhere, not to mention the hookers that were walking around getting in and out of big rigs that were parked on the side of the hotel, I refused to stay there at all and the hotel still will not refund my money, talking with corporate office now and if this is not justifies filing complaints with my bank and board of health better business bureau and anyone else I have to to rectify this situation so who ever reads this please stear clear of this trashy hotel.

Nothing good about this place aside from price. Room was completely outdated mattress was terrible could not deadbolt the door. Traffic noise and train noise were ridiculous. Not to mention a stones throw from an exotic dance club with all sorts of undesirables that come with that. Definitely stay away.

The only thing good about my room was that it was available when I needed it. No company allowed what's so ever. Service was nice in the day time but after shift change I had to argue for a extra towel. Room only had 1 thin towel and wash cloth. All the buttons was broke on the television, of course being accompanied with a broken remote. To top it all off though woke up to two huge roaches, one seriously looking at me like I check into her place. Was not a happy camper posted picture as well.

For last minute reservations its was perfect. Until we went to bed and there was a pee stain on the sheet and mascara stains on the pillow case. Flat pillows and found a dirty wash rag on the smoke detector. The price was 52$ total, but for that price it was good. Smelt like new paint and nice carpet. I like the service too! This is my honest review. It could be better in other rooms, I wouldn't know. I stayed in mine because I stayed for one night.

Dirty rooms, beds were decades old where u coulf feel the spring coils coming thru, sherts and pillows had what looks like blood stains on them, management was rude and disrespectful.

This place is beyond disgusting,. What to be drug dealers standing out front, stip club next door. First room given was probably used by a prosti and her catch of the night, disgusting, black tub, cockroach, bugs. Second room a bit better. Shower still questionable. Serves beyond horrible and key still does not work. We have to call the guy to open door everytime we go in n out.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place was very dirty and has terrible service. At first the man at the counter didn't feel like making a key to a room so put us in the room next to the office that only the master key opened. He told us that if we would want to leave we would have to ask him to open the door, but the electricity in that room didn't work. So he finally made us a key to a room right next to the only other room being rented. As soon as we got in the room there was two cockroaches in the bathroom. There was no sheets on the bed. There was no towels or shampoo in the room. The free Wi-Fi connected but would just say loading, and the worker couldn't get it to work either. The "continental breakfast" was orange juice and coffee. And now that we're back home we are completely covered in bed bug bites.
