The rooms were clean. Shower water pressure was strong and hot. Staff was very nice. Unfortunately, the noise from the freeway was pretty pervasive all night.

I stayed at this hotel on 7/28/18. I booked through Priceline and said I had myself, one child, and our dog (a small pug). It said pet friendly on Priceline and showed no other pet charge for the room. At the front desk they didn't say anything about my dog or ask if I had a pet. They only asked for my car make, model, and license plate and to initial that form. After I checked out they charged me $100 for having a dog in a not pet friendly room. They informed me three days after my stay and never said anything before or during my stay that some rooms are not pet friendly. Why would they even allow me to check into the room with the dog if it was not a pet friendly room. I told them our dog made no mess and they agreed, but because it was a not pet friendly room they would not take the $100 charge off. It isn't a very good hotel to begin with so why would you try to scam people out of an extra $100. Whatever you do stay at another hotel. Plenty in the area we have stayed for better price.

Location was good. Service was great, came 8n after midnight and someone was there to help us.

Was over 1, 000 miles away from home when I got hospitalized overnight. I needed somewhere that could accommodate an early check in and this was the place! So thankful for the staff and owners at this establishment. The room was absolutely wonderful, the tile shower was amazing! Hot water never ran out. The hotel was conveniently located withing walking distance to a diner and service station. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone passing through or staying a couple of nights!

Room was a little dated, and some remodeling wouldn't hurt, but this place was excellent. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfy. The windows even open, which gave a nice breeze. Great deal, good place to stay if you need it, just be aware as you would any location.

We've been here to spend a night on our way from Las Vegas to Sedona. The hotel is very nice and clean, the rooms are big enough and there is free parking, wi fi, microwave and breakfast. The price is a little bit high (Around 250$ for a 5 people room) but not so different from the other hotels here around. The problem that we had was with the employees. The one in the reception was kind and polite, but the lady at breakfast was "sleeping" and not listening to what we was telling her. The worse part arrived later, right before the checkout. The room was already cleaned and everything we left in the room (Small things like toothbrush) were thrown away. We spoke to the owner and he said "I'm very sorry" and nothing else, I think that this is something not acceptable.

I was charged incorrectly for the room, the room has an old, cheap feel to it for the price. I should have stayed at Drury Inn. The breakfast was a joke, the morning receptionist had an attitude when I was taking coffee out of the dining room, she rudely told me you will be responsible for the clean up of the room for taking food out. She must have lost her mind for overreacting for cheap diluted coffee. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER will I stay at a Howard Johnson ever again. Oh, the heater runs and runs all night, got a bad sinus headache because of the 1980s heating system. I am so dissatisfied for the money I spent here and the rudeness of the morning foreign receptionist.

Ok room. $85 seemed a little high. But I couldn't drive anymore and couldn't find anything cheaper. The beds were comfy. Just a little high. I needed to almost jump onto the bed.

I just needed a place to stay while I checked out the Grand Canyon. Clean room, the bed was comfortable, free breakfast (waffles, donut holes, & cereal). The area is quiet I couldn't tell anyone was in the next room and I didn't see any prostitutes or junkies outside so that's a plus lol I would stay here again.

The staff is super friendly, the location is great, the hotel is quite though my mom said she heard noise in her neighboring room. The room was spacious and mostly comfortable. Just wish the beds were a bit softer and comfortable. The bathroom had a huge shower stall though the drain seemed to be draining slow. Other than that the price was right and it make for a convenient stop on the way to a destination. BTW now train noise which is also a plus.

I like it cuz they a variety of breakfast, clean, coffee n rooms, air conditions and heaters work good and ask if we want our room cleaned.

Jumped from 30 a night to 429 a night because nobody had rooms left. Horrible rooms to.

The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was nice. The Wi-Fi was extremely spotty, especially during peak hours. The TV has HDMI and usb hook ups if you want to connect a tablet or a chromecast. It is very close to a Target and the ASU campus. There is also a great BBQ place (Hickory's Smokehouse) less than half a mile. *try their sweet potato tots.

This place is nasty. Poorly maintained, smelly rooms. The marquee said "Recently Renovated" which is a lie because they don't even do standard maintenance, much less renovate. Shower was so small that my head hit the ceiling and the drain was clogged. Who wants to stand in pooled water in a gross hotel… um motel. Ants, desperate need of a coat of paint, cable signal was blurry on every channel which was half of the lineup on their supposed list, comforters and mattresses from the 90's with high miles, and the mini fridge spoiled our food because the seal was missing. The only reason I can conceive that this place rents any rooms is the location. Otherwise, I was surprised to not see streetwalkers and pimps at such a dump.

Simply waste of money. Room was so congested and suffocating. Shower curtain fell on my head. Limited parking available.

No pool even though the booking person said there was. Wi-Fi was slow. Remote for TV didn't work and had to get it replaced. Breakfast was awful! Had to tip the lady standing in front of the (normally) self serve waffle maker.

The room was nice and clean. Good location. No bathroom in the lobby and the "continental" breakfast was cereal and toast. It took two calls to the office to get extra pillows. We got a nice deal through hotwire and would probably still come back if we got it at a good price again but would definitely plan for breakfast elsewhere. Galaxy diner across the side street was amazing.

This place sucks, I stay at this hotel 09/09. Forgot my headphones in the room. When I called to ask, they told me to find. Let me send a prepayment of the box past. Then I sent a box of the past. When I called to ask them again ，they said，someone actually led away. Wtf!

Im not hard to please. Pros: Nice Staff Room looks nice (room 117) Newly Remodeled (w/in 6 months) Huge Shower Free Breakfast (cereal, juice, toast, oatmeal, donuts, coffee, english muffins, etc) Weekday rate in mid Sept (still peak season) was only $60 a night Wifi A/C worked great Fridge, Microwave, Coffee Pot Guest Laundry ($2 wash, $1 dry, $2 for box of soap). Everything was very clean Comfortable Walking distance to some restaurants and convenience stores. Gas station right next door pretty much so not far to refuel Cons: Sheets didnt fit right; stayed on bed but were standard sheets on deep mattress, so they didnt stay wrapped all the way around corner and popped up to only be on pillowtop part of mattress; I didnt care as long as they stayed on bed but my dad cared and complained and asked for different sheets and when we came back to room for second night the sheets still didnt fit right. I assume if I didnt sleep with a fan I brought on (noise) and a/c running I mightve woken up more to outside noise. No fan in bathroom but a window, so if you open window to let steam out from shower ppl from parking lot in back could see you come out of shower (however parking lot both times I looked out was empty) Weekday rate is $60, but it jumps to $110 on weekend; seems like a big jump. And not worth $110 for all these cons, but worth $60. Doors not even.

Good night for family of 5. Inn is older but has had recent improvements. It was clean. Wi-Fi worked well. We got a room with 3 beds and a pallet for less than $90 with a typical budget breakfast included. The in room air conditioning was a bit weak but it is Flagstaff so opening the windows worked well. There are train tracks near and you can hear the train. Not a big deal for us. Might be for some.

Apparently the owner changed since all the bad reviews. I spend a couple of nights in my way to snowbowl and was very pleased with the accommodation. If you just need a bed, a hot shower and some breakfast, this hotel is for you. Nothing fancy, bare minimum, but clean and well priced. Most importantly, you will not be disturbed by the train during the night. You can still hear it but from the distance, not to wake you up.

The room rate is reasonable and room space is average. Furnitures are new except the bed. Springs of the mattress haven't springiness. If you mind, this is problem for you. The washbowl was changed new one. If you want to drive Route 66, it is good location.

BED BUGS** Woke up this morning to a blood streak, a bite, and a dead bed bug on the sheet. My sons bed had the same type of streak. Don't stay here. Had I known that there were bed bugs, I wouldn't have stayed here. Management wasn't too supportive and said they would need to confirm it was bed bugs with an exterminator. He was so flippant about it we are worried that he most likely won't.

1. Front desk Dude was short with my elderly mother. 2. The room had an adjoining room with other folks staying in it with a broken lock on that door. 3. Non existing lock on front door. 4. Barely clean enough. Free Wi-Fi and basic breakfast made it better.

Changed reservations to move daughter into NAU and when we got to Howard Johnson's res # wasn't correct and reservations hadn't been changed and they had no rooms left. My comment to the person behind the counter was "you don't want to know what is going to happen if we can't get this done". And before I could say the rest of the sentence (which would've been. "the manager that approved the change of dates will need to get in touch with me") the guy behind the counter began screaming that I needed to leave the property, along with "I will make calls and you will be escorted off this property", "you aren't going to come in here and threaten me! ". It was absolutely horrible. I tried to explain that I wasn't threatening him, but upset at the situation and don't treat people that way, but he continued the threats and horrible ranting, then explained (I counted) 9 times about what the issue was with the reservation, like I didn't have a bit of common sense, whatsoever. It was absolutely aweful and inexcusable. He refused to try and get in touch with the manager that authorized the change, because "he's always down in the valley and very seldom comes up to the motel". We pre-paid for the room, he wouldn't give us a refund and due to students moving into NAU, every room in Flagstaff was sold out, so we ended up sleeping in the car, after driving for over 3 hours and searching for a hotel room around the city for another 2 hours.

This hotel was GROSS! and for 95.00 a night. The only reason we stop here is because it was late and on a Friday night so we did not have many options. Any other time I would not have given this hotel a second thought! The sink had SOMEONE ELSE'S HAIR in it.!.!. The sheets where inside out on both bed, which made me wonder why. The room smelled bad and was very old/outdated. THE A/C DID NOT WORK! I turned it on as soon as we got in the room, then we went back down to get our bags. When we got back to the room, the A/C had frozen up. We waited a few to see if it would work, NO so I when down to tell the guy working the front desk and see if we could be moved to another room. He just simply said that's how they all work. This was July so there was no way we would be getting any sleep in a hot room so we asked for our money back because after all we had only been in the room maybe 30 mins. He would only give us half of our money back because my son had pulled the covers back and was sitting on the bed. Really. I guess they are more of a rent by the hr. Kind of hotel.!.!.? We drove another hr. To Sedona and got a nice room at the LaQuinta Inn.
