Clean and easily accessible rooms. Beautiful view of the mountain range and within walking distance to Otto Lake. The staff is Amazing as well. Great Price.

We stayed here 2 nights. Large clean room, comfortable king size bed, microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker in the room. Clean bathroom. Close to park entrance. Reasonable rates.

Clean motel/ hotel with a wonderful staff! They are 10 miles from the crowded touristy canyon so you truly get a feel for what Alaska is all about. We are out in the woods with spectacular Mountain View’s. Even saw two moose right next to the building! Has a cabin in the woods feel! Absolutely love it!

Outdated motel without usable internet. If you need internet, you need to stay elsewhere. The cost is quite high for what you get. The driveway and parking areas are covered in pea gravel which is very hard to navigate with a motorcycle.

No-frills basic motel. Lobby is an old Alaskan RR car, which is fun. Price is reasonable for the area. No breakfast, but rooms have a fridge and microwave. Office has water and sodas cheaper than other places we found (including the Denali bus depot). Good location for people wanting to go to the Park and Fairbanks.

This is a gem in the Frontier. Located 11 miles north of the Denali Park entrance, the hotel was once a forest service camp and it has been converted to a hotel. Featuring four buildings with 12 rooms in each building. The office is an old Alaskan Railroad passenger car. Rooms are clean and rustic. Definitely worth the $160/night for accommodation. If you’re looking for some place more modern, you’ll have to head south to Denali Park Village. There, you can find all the “cruisers” from Princess.

Ambience of the hotel was really good and it gave a 'woods like feel'. We could even see two moose at just 100 yards from our room without any fence. However, the room is pretty badly maintained. Locks got jammed and I spent 10-15 mins just for opening the door for the first time. Old school thermostat that doesn't kick in for several hours and it is freaking 20F outside. No iron box was available, so be prepared while you plan your trip. And last of all, Google doesn't show you the right directions (as of 1/9/18) to the hotel directly.

Great hotel, very quiet and clean. You have to bring your own food in if you want breakfast as they have no catering onsite but it suited us perfectly. Rooms where very clean and beds are comfortable.

Stayed here two nights while visiting Denali. Rooms are clean and have everything needed. Very quiet location. Staff were helpful. Convenient to a few restaurants, grocery, and Denali Park. Would definitely stay here again!

It was too rustic, more than I had anticipated. Did not like the cabins that we were assigned for. The bathrooms in the cabins were very primitive and uncomfortable. I would have preferred a proper comfortable hotel room.

Exactly what you need in the Denali area = a clean roof over your head when your done exploring the great outdoors! I will never understand why people spend a ton of money for a hotel when that are only in it to sleep, because the sights and the long summer days keep you out. This place was extremely clean and spacious enough for us and our insane amount of luggage. Friendly staff gave us great tourist and hiking ideas.

Clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel is like a giant trailer but the inside is spacious. Transportation was the worst! This hotel is 18 miles from the train depot. The area is pretty but not as pretty as the center of the park. So to shuttle back in to where there is food and hikes you have to call the salmon bake and request that the north loop shuttle pick you up and and drop you off. It’s not a stop on their route it’s just along the way. The shuttle has a ton of stops so you spend a lot of time waiting around for it. The shuttle is $5 a day per person. You can also call a taxi and wait for them and pay $40 each way. Definitely a good option if you are driving in but I wouldn’t consider this hotel if you are relying on a shuttle.

A bit dated otherwise a perfect place to lay our heads at night. Comfortable beds. Great views and saw a moose beside our room! Friendly helpful ladies when we checked in!

Rooms were clean. Friendly staff. Located just off of the highway. Located in a scenic location (Denali itself is scenic so this is kind of obvious) 15 mins away from Denali visitor center. Some of the tours in Denali happen early in the morning and we would like to have breakfast at the hotel but they don't provide one. They provided just one key (actual key and not the card) which makes things a bit difficult if you have more than one staying in the room.

Nice economical hotel. Good for 1 or 2 night stay if you are in Denali Park area and looking for a place to stay for night.

I thought the place was great for the price. The manager was very nice and very helpful — she handed us a sheet with the local restaurants and points of interest that had directions from the hotel. My only complaint… the room windows didn't have screens. I will stay there again!

It was so peaceful and majestic, dont have to spend much money to enjoy the beauty of the world.

A great, simple place to stay, just a hair outside of Healy with a couple of nice restaurants in walking distance. With moose meandering around the property on a regular (not daily, but close) basis, the occasional eagle fly-by, and views of the Alaska range in every direction, this is a fantastic jumping off point for adventures in the Denali area.

Its a bed and shower. That's about it. Does the job. No frills.

Good place, but I arrive there at 11:30 p. M. And leave 6:30 a. M.

The lobby, or main office is in a train, so that is exciting and that the road there is gravel or known as rocks. The bathrooms are pretty awesome but the beds, you need to share.

Myself & a friend stayed at the hotel two nights in June. Room was clean & comfortable and a good value. Most importantly, I inadvertently left my passport in the room and the staff drove seven miles to leave it at another hotel that my wife was going to be arriving at! Can't beat that for service! Did not see a moose in Denali Park, but taking a walk down the street by the hotel there was one right across from us!

When looking for a place to stay near Denali, the prices were extremely high. We found the Denali Park Hotel and booked 3 rooms. It's about 4 miles from the entrance of the park. It is an older hotel with no frills, but it was clean and the location was great. Check in was very easy and the staff was very nice. We had a moose outside every day. The area is quiet and there's a great brewery a quarter mile down the street which served great food/beer. We would stay here again.

Clean comfy room, everything you need … little fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker and starter kit, free Wi-Fi, direct TV … 1 mile to Healy and great food… 10 miles to Denali National Park Entrance. Perfect!

Nice place. Super helpful staff. We had a problem with the TV and the manager drop by to fix it. Next day we had a real problem because my daughter locked the car keys inside. The manager and the staff tried everything to help us: Internet search, phone calls… The towering was ridiculous high so he called a friend who could help us. Only a real friend or these guys can give such a help when you are in such a trouble.

View was fantastic! Staff courteous and helpful. Would love to see an upgrade on the comforter.

Except for the location which is a little far from where the shops are located, the place is so quiet, good view of the mountains and landscape. There is no resto however. It is better to arrive in this place with lots of food and water! There is no transport shuttle too. You better hire a taxi before you arrive in the train station so that it can take you around the nearby areas.

Very friendly and helpful staff, Wi-Fi, a clean room we were rarely in, and relative security made for a fine stay. Very near the park without the huge Bill!

Spend 4 nights during June 2015. One of the problem Wi-Fi will not work. The owner will keep on giving excuses but will not fix Wi-Fi. One feels disconnected as there are not many sources as phone does not work. The hotel is normal otherwise nothing special. Road construction is going on between DNP and hotel so it took us about 45 mins to reach though normally it should take only 12 minutes.

Spent 5 nights here in May 2014. Very clean, quiet rooms. Nothing fancy, but nice to be away from the crowds in "glitter gulch" by the park entrance. Front desk people were very friendly, had coffee ready every morning :).

Clean rooms that also has a coffee maker, microwave, and mini-fridge. Great for those that would like to warm your leftovers or make/cook your own meals to save some cash. The rooms are exactly as pictured and a decent value for around here in the summer. The buildings are motel style, but the train car lobby is cute. It is about 14 miles north from Denali park entrance, but there there is a shuttle if you don't have your own car.

Has great Wi-Fi, microwave, clean rooms. I found fresh flowers in front of every room, and the lobby modeled in the form of alaska train car is very inviting.

We stayed for two nights in July 2011 and consider this a real find. The infrastructure is like the motels of the 50s, three rows, one story each, containing very utilitarian rooms. But the bed was huge and very comfortable, the room was very clean, and the staff was just terrific! They got us a reservation on the Denali shuttle when the website said there was nothing available, shuttled us where we needed to go, assured us that they would come get us, though it turned out we could get a bus back after office hours and didn't have to call on them. The location is out of town, but there is a nice restaurant up the hill — we walked up but there's a shuttle available, and the staff assured us that we could call out at least for Subway sandwiches if we didn't feel like going out. Nothing fancy here, but great value and really nice staff.

Clean rooms great views for half the cost of nearby lodges. Will come back! Tamie.
