Best breakfast I’ve ever had at a Hampton Inn.

Great friendly reception by Alexandria and Elizabeth. Wonderful friendly service and very clean comfortable place to stay.

Best place to stay in Selma! Friendly staff, Nice clean room with new comfy mattress and a soft fluffy comforter made for a great night's sleep. DTV with Showtime, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blow dryer, Neutrogena shampoo, conditioner and soap, big soft towels, free breakfast, elevator, plenty of safe parking, Lots of Hot water, cold A/C. Even though the pool is still being renovated you hear no noise and see no mess. I have no complaints.

Nice staff but place is going thru renovations so it’s loud and smells like paint. Would have been nice to know that prior to booking. Paid extra for jacuzzi room but water came out a light brown colour and never got warm (neither did the shower). I’m a Diamond Hhonors member and travel for a living so I know not every stay will be perfect but this one missed the mark by a long shot.

Staff pleasant and helpful. Facility clean. Bed pillows smelled like chemicals.

Clean rooms, excellent staff, pool, weight room and jacuzzi were under construction. No heads up when we booked the room. Otherwise a nice place in the middle of Nowhere.

Excellent staff, very clean! Easy access to HWY 14, Hwy 80, and Hwy 22. I enjoy visiting this hotel.

So, so. It wasn't the greatest, especially not for the price. I had water leak onto my head at 2:00 AM. That was very disgusting since I wasn't even on the top floor. However, they refunded my money, so I was satisfied.

As usual, nice hotel, but strange to see an employee of the hotel (I think) sitting on the reception counter when I checked in. He remained sitting on the counter while I went through the check-in process.

Clean and quite. Great front desk fast service. Could have bigger parking spaces. I was driving a full size van.

Adequate amenities. Pleasant staff. Large family party on our floor with people running and slamming doors through the evening. I guess it was the only place to party in Selma AL, that night. Shame on you Hampton Inn.

Average Hampton Inn experience. Room was clean, but somewhat dated furniture and bathroom fixtures. Location is great for commuting to downtown Selma (about 5-10 min away). Service was good, no issues.

Rooms were not cleaned. We had to clean the sink, countertop, and shower ourselves. The hotel smelled bad and uncleaned. When I turned the heater on a aweful smell came from it. It smelled like dirty wet molding gym socks times ten. I had to spray colon in the return grill to kill the nasty smell. I would have tried to change rooms but after meeting the general manager earlier you would know why I didn't want the hassle. He was rude and disrespectful. Needless to say he was like that with other guests (on the phone and in person). Hampton should fire him. Then the last morning of our stay housekeeping opened the door and started to enter the room. She opened the door and bumped into my wife as she was entering the bathroom to shower (she was almost undressed). The lady said she was told to collect the linens but we were not finished using them. At checkout I spoke to the staff member who checked us out and he said he would have the manager call me about 3pm that day so he could discount or refund the price of our rooms. HE HAS NOT CALLED but with his lack of caring about his guest I'm not surprised. Do not ever stay here!

This place was very poorly cleaned. The grounds were dirty and the rooms weren't great either. There is apparently the hotel's laundry room for washing towels and room linens on the ground floor near the front entrance and I guess they don't have filters on those dryers so long blows out all over the ground and sidewalk. Gives a very poor first impression.

Hampton inn Selma is by far the best hotel I stayed in, in Selma, Al. The staff were very friendly and kind. The manager, Kerry was real helping of us and very nice and so were the others at front desk. The breakfast was good. They had great Wi-Fi, the rooms were nice & clean, and they kept the pool clean. This would be the ONLY hotel I recommend people to stay in while here.

My Mother and I checked in and she got bitten by a bed bug the first night but we thought it was mosquito related until the second night when it happened AGAIN! Fortunately after I caught a specimen and went to the front desk, they moved us to another floor and after an exchange with management the next morning they comped my entire stay … that WAS a GREAT customer service gesture, however, at $119 a night the bedrooms should be thoroughly sanitized after EACH guest? NEVER AGAIN! 10/28/2017

Love our Hampton Inn s. Selma is a great place to visit although off major highway s.

Loved it, was on first floor, close to the gym/breakfast area. Will go again next trip.

The hotel is nice and clean but my shower didn't work. I tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work either. Their breakfast was nice and full and the bed was comfortable enough.

Checked in at about 6 pm the hostess at front desk was lazy and didn't even bother coming out of her room in the back until I said I wanted a room. I figured she must have been tired but she persisted in her laziness throughout the night and it was annoying. In the morning the cleaning crew was rude and unfriendly. Poor Internet unless u buy the upgrade. Breakfast was decent and rooms were clean. Will not be staying at another hampton.

Great 3 star hotel convenient for resting after a long day or planning site seeing in Selma. Clean rooms and different Wi-Fi options available. Indoor pool and business center with two computers and a printer. Close to gas and fast food. Water pressure is a little low and in room ac was a bit noisy. Good breakfast options with do it yourself waffles, oatmeal, eggs and meat, cereal, grits, fruit and pastries. Coffee was not good but OK with a lot of sugar and milk. Our family enjoyed the stay and got good sleep for 2 nights.

When I got in the room that night there was this greasy stuff all over the counters. The cleaning people sprayed it and forgot to wipe it up.

The service was great, food was delicious, clean rooms, clean facility, and just an overall 5 star hotel.

Place has a lot of parking space, great room and a reasonable price! I'll be back!

No breakfast before we left. So if you're hunting and leaving early (before 6) probably out of luck with breakfast.

As slays rooms are clean and staff are on it. Breakfast is hot and good.

This Hampton is quite comfortable with nice beds and polite staff. If you need a high speed internet connection for business travel I would steer clear. Max download speed of 16 KB/s. It also resets and kicks you off every hour or so.
