A little bit run down but fine for a no frills motel room. Clean and pretty quiet. (BTW I consider 3 stars to be a basically positive rating. )

Good service and breakfast. Rooms were clean. Could have used bigger TV and upgraded beds you find at other places. But still a good stay! Near movie theater and dining options.

Rooms were cozy. It was a decent hotel for a overnight stay. Staff was friendly.

What a great hotel! So clean and very friendly staff. Clean pool area, we just loved it and we were there for four days. Will stay again.

Part II It's 5:13 am! Just checked in. I specifically paid for a King Size Bed. I get in the door and I have two double beds. Back to the front desk. SMH! This is absolutely crazy! I was planning on staying until Saturday for work, but I'll be back over to the Home2Suites after these folks have a one hour late check out when they held me up for two hours! Part I 04:21 am! Been standing at the front desk for exactly 15 minutes and no one is anywhere to be found to check me in! Hampton better not charge my card! And there's a gentleman standing here waiting to get a receipt for checkout! The phones are just ringing ringing ringing. And it's the reservation line trying to reach them. The guy waiting to check out had to go behind the counter and knock hard on the door. The "big guy" finally awakens and comes out! Well he can't print the gentleman's receipt. And he can't check me in right now. Well darn! Still I wait. One question? Hampton, how will you dare to fix this, as I stay with your brand twice a week every week! But I normally stay next door at the Home2Suites. Next time I will have to reserve in advance at the place I know will deliver excellent service. If those guys fall asleep too over there, then no one would ever know! Tighten up Hampton, tighten up! By the way it's 4:31 a. M, and I'm still standing here lookin El stupido! Uppp, uppp and now the room may not be ready. They don't see my reservation either. Jesus!

Beds hard pillows were way to soft. Glad it was only one night. All staff was great. Breakfast was good. Just need new beds and pillows.

Perfeft location near the highway and near Auburn. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and staff was pleasant. This is the second time I have been to this location and I will be back.

Back to hear on 5/7/2018. Kind and very slow reception to check in but acceptable. Getting in the room feels humid and smells like vinegar. Very unpleasant atmosphere… This is my 3rd weeks staying this hotel. First two weeks was OK but this week room air conditioning has lots of mold. Not recommend… Back to hotel 7PM next day. I surprised hotel staff fixed issues and left message with couple of things… Appreciate staff and maintenance members. Past couple of month stayed several times and it was overall OK. But Sep. 28th found two bugs on my bed which is red colored and they are biting and bathroom has lots of mildew and another bug is living together. Requested room change and they did and it was clean. General manager sent me e-mail right away early in the morning and offered 5000 points. Thankfully accepted but no points rewarded after one week. Finally 3rd consecutive week, checking in Monday night as normal, front desk said I already checked-in Sunday night and someone using my reserved room using my credit card.

Nice location for overnight visit with our son. Convenient to restaurants and golf!

The pool has very cold water, the breakfast is good, very precarious but hey, the air conditioner is a can, it costs work to understand.

Actually a very nice hotel! Rooms are nice. And you actually are in more points than if you stayed at the Home2 Suites.

Warning please read This was my first time in Alabama the worst experience of my life at his hotel I had me and my husband and two children when we checked into room my daughter stumbled across men's clothing that was used and she thought it was our jacket it was so nasty so they comped for room for the next day and they wind up kicking us out the same day but my husband did not want to stay the full night he only wanted a half a day and mind you my little girl 5 years old and she has autism and epilepsy they called the police on me and my two girls and we had to get escorted out of the hotel in a cop car my oldest daughter that's 10 is very devastated she never stop crying I never got kicked out of a room and I never drive in a cop car the most embarrassing experience in my whole entire life I am very devastated the rooms are very dirty the staff is very rude I advise nobody to stay here stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door cuz they're very nice that's where the police took me and I stood in their Lobby to my husband came to pick us up we came for business the worst experience ever and they told me they was going to charge me and my kids for trespassing but we stood on the night there and pay them up front so I don't understand what did we do so wrong that we have to get escorted out by police I have to get one star in order to post this I would not give no stars but I have no choice.

This hotel had great customer service. And great breakfast. I was able to make the waffle u see with fresh fruit. Also the desk manager came up himself to insure my room was ready because they had a full house the night before. Great location with movie theater right across the way! I will be back!

Staff is helpful and the breakfast is good, but the rooms need to be updated. The lobby has been updated but the rooms are still in need of an update.

Nice place. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very quiet. Can't hear the highway or neighbors. Wi-Fi speed of 4 mbps. Breakfast was the usual waffles, eggs, and cereal.

Felt a little dingy and dated. Breakfast salty and sub-par. Some staff rude.

I did not have the pleasure of staying here, but Amy did stay on the phone with me for more than a half hour trying to find my family and I and our dogs a place to evacuate to from Florida for the impending hurricane. She looked into Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and other parts of Alabama. Having called a dozen other hotels in the surrounding areas and Amy was the only person to help me look for other hotels miles and miles away from her location is a true example of not only amazing customer service, but of genuine human concern and kindness. Although I did not book anywhere because everything was booked, this was the best conversation I have ever had with a hotel representative. Thank you Amy for all your help. I truly appreciate you. This hotel is amazing … more importantly the staff is great! James was so helpful and informative on everything in the hotel, he was also very friendly. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel!

The rooms seemed a little dated and plain, but overall it was a decent place. I was in town on business, and the hotel fulfilled my needs. The breakfast (sausage) could have been a little better, but what can you really expect for free?

Typical Hampton — clean room, pleasant and professional staff, good breakfast selection, comfy bed. Our room did not have a lot of space/seating except for the beds, but the lobby area has plenty of room for gathering with traveling companions in other rooms. Convenient location — close to interstate with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by, but enough off the main drag so that rooms are quiet.

Couldn't be better. Staff was very friendly and spoke every tome I passed. Very clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful customer service! The hotel was clean, and the staff was very professional. The front office support Melissa was very nice and helpful. There's lots of restaurants and stores right by the hotel as well.

Great location, near lots of places to eat & convenient access to I-85, but for a new facility the rooms feel old & there are no room refrigerators. Nice staff & pretty good breakfast though.

This was an emergency trip so clean clothes was an after thought. The lady at the desk, since there were no laundry mats anywhere close, offered to put our wash in wth the hotels. Now, that's going above and beyond. Thank you Hampton for hiring such carrying team members.

Hampton Inn is a very reliable brand, but this one is a step above the normal Hampton. The location is quiet despite being very near the highway and all the amenities of Opelika. The rooms and extra amenities like the snack shop are higher quality than most others in the same hotel brand. Highly recommended!

Came down here for a bike race. Good location, near a very nice gas station, overall good experience. Also very clean.

Pulled off during a storm at this hotel after midnight. They were booked with a college baseball team plus a wedding, but still accommodated my family with a room. We were traveling with an infant in a torrential downpour and were having issues finding somewhere to stay. Our room was super clean and roomy, plus we got free breakfast on our way out. I would gladly stay there again. This was one of the better Hamptons I have experienced and I generally stay at Hilton properties most of the time. Also it's very easily accessible to the interstate, with many shops and restaurants close by, to include a Waffle house and Starbucks. For late night/ early morning travelers.

The cook during breakfast was rude, and started fussing at me. I believe that is very disrespectful. He needs to be fired. Great Hotel besides cook.
