I stayed at the Bama Inn for about three weeks and 1130 am is checkout but I got harassed and was asked to check out 11:18 because I could not to pay a late fee, I would have to check out and check back in that's bull. Bama inn is very inconsiderate they raise prices with out notice be careful because the housekeeping goes in your room and remove things and say we are not responsible. AlNegative 1 star rating.

I have been staying here with my girlfriend for 2 years, see I come from out of town Chattanooga to work here In Huntsville as a bartender and Kim the manager has all ways taken care of us dispite the crazy crack heads they let stay there she all ways treated us with respect. Until today I checked in at 9 this morning and was charged an unusually high amount for the room witch I didn't say anything about. Well I got to the room and checked for bed bugs but was exhausted and I guess I just trusted this place so I went to sleep and woke up after not sleeping well with BEDBUG bites all over me… I'm allergic so I'm covered in hives so I go down to the office not expecting any problems at all just to be ran around by there maintenance man JOE who admitted to us "he just got rid of the bedbugs in this room less than a week ago" so he rummaged threw the room and beds for a second arrogant that I would accuse him A MAN that he couldn't or didn't do his job well and he couldn't find a bed bug so! Even though I have obvious bites and hives they Insisted that one of their staff had to find a bug for me to be taken seriously so my friend who was with me pulled back my pillow case and BAM! They he was the bug so I thought GREAT now I can get my refund and be on my way… right?

Rude staff! BED BUGS! We were driving thru town and needed a room for the night. Seemed ok $55/night even tho the lady was rude. Then we got inside the room… stinks, bed was a rock with a bump in the middle, sheets looked and seemed clean… Woke up hot shower was nice. And as I was grabbing what little we brought in and seen a BED BUG ON THE SHEET! UGH SO GLAD WE DIDNT BRING MUCH INSIDE THIS PLACE! Didnt even look for more! Got out ASAP… ROOM.

The room had an odor that I can't really describe. The neighbourhood was sketchy. Lots of people loitering outside. I took all the sheets off the bed and put my own on after laying down a tarp. Should have gotten a refund and left.

First of all I reserved a room 3 months ahead of time for an event. I asked that we have a room at the top away from the pool (Because We had a dog) I called 3 weeks before We left to make sure everything was correct and set and I was told yes. We get there and she puts us in the room right around the corner of the lobby where everyone is walking around right in front of the door right in front of pool AND right beside where they do all the laundry and the carts are going in and out. On the bottom floor… My dog barked the WHOLE time. ALL night and day. The woman refused to let me switch rooms. Then they closed the pool early EVERY Night so we never got to swim. Didn't even give a good reason on why… it was just stressful. And I hated it. Also if your wondering they charge $10 a night for pets which they failed to tell me before or on there page…

Most of the people staying here live here full time. There are drugs being smoked everywhere. And There are prostitute’s living here. There’s a nine o clock curfew they don’t tell you about. I got woke up this morning at 5 am by the neighbor beating his wife. Cops are always here.

This was the WORST place I have ever spent money. I recently visited there with my family (husband and son) for a graduation. I stayed one night and traveled from atlanta to Alabama. Checking in was awkward to say the least. Upon walking in, there was (I’m guessing) another guest just standing outside the window glaring at me. Ok fine whatever I just did a four hour trip and I might have had an irritable look on my face. I received my card key and when to my room. It smelled like a mixture of bleach and mildew. The walls were dirty and greasy looking. The ceiling was falling in the bathroom. Only one bed was made and the pillows were thrown on the other bed. After closer inspection I realized the had put used sheets on the bed! They literally tucked and “made” the bed with dirty if not the same sheets from the previous guest. I went back to the front desk and informed them of this. The only person that seemed to care was (I’m assuming) the maintenance personnel. He was so willing to help. I went back to the room after saying just please get me some clean sheets and I’ll change them myself. I found a roach (a small amount of weed) in my non smoking room! I went back to the front desk showed it to them and they just looked at it in disgust and threw it away. I happen to run into the person over housekeeping and told her the situation and she said “oh ok” and had apparently just thrown my sheets in the room. At this point I’m tired, frustrated and ready to leave.

Bed bug heaven. Roach heaven. Terrible staff. Unsafe surroundings. Would not recommend.

Older building, could really use a little more TLC. The room was clean, bed bathroom floors sink and all. I did really like that our room did not have carpet it had hardwood floors! The employees were not very friendly, it was no trouble at all to get extra towels, now if you ask for extra pillows that is a different story. They will not provide even a single extra pillow! also if you get a smoking room and there is no ashtray you will not be provided with one, I got the answer "we have ashtrays in all smoking rooms and if your smoking room does not have an ashtray you will just have to figure something out yourself it's not my problem ". I would have reported her to management but she had no name tag and refused to give me her name. That was totally uncalled for and honesty I will not stay there again and I definitely will not recommend this business to anyone.

Clean rooms with free Wi-Fi and very kind and helpful front desk.

My husband worked for 8 months at this hotel didn't get paid a dime. He worked 7 days a week from time he got up till he went to sleep. He did miantance, house keeping, and anything else they needed. They had the nerve to tell us we owed them to stay there. The room cost 209 a week. He worked for the rent. If you paid him 5 dollars an hour they would have still owed him money after we paid rent. Suggest that nobody stays here it is infested with bed bugs. Not to mention the phones never work. Or house keeping won't clean your room. Or you can't find the manager Kim cause she has snuck in a room with another employee. Bad customer service. None of the house keepers speak English so they don't understand what your saying. They post fake review any body name that has nothing associated with it but a reveiw about bama inn is not real there is a reason they are rated at 2.7!

Not the cleanest. Be warned that the website says pet friendly, but they will charge you more for each animal. Wouldn't have been a big deal if was told about it before hand. There is a big sign at desk that says you have 15 minutes to decide if you want refund, guess they hope you don't see bugs before that fifteen minutes.

The location was nice. The rooms had decent enough space to put your items. The service was pretty standard.

The staff, and rooms are always welcoming and nice, Ms. Kim is always professional and understanding. Great place to stay one night or long term as in weekly.

I asked for non smoking room however the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, and the TV didn't work. Furniture was old and worn down. Asked for our money back to go somewhere else. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and switched us to a better room. Smelled good and looked clean. The area is not the best. Rooms need renovating but for the money overall not bad.

Could do better with cleaning the rooms, and next time don't delete the reservations for no reason, my family had to wait over 7 hours in our car for a room, even though we already had reservations which were cancelled. Only had a set amount of money so I couldn't go much elsewhere.

The service and upkeep was fine but the location is in a shady neighbor Hood.

I checked into this hotel and for the price, I got what was expected. Was told the room was a non smoking room but it smelled like cigarette smoke and a cigarette burn hole was in one of the sheets. None the less small minor things and overall I was able to get a nice night rest… When I come back again, I wouldn't mind staying here… The lady at the front desk was very friendly, nice and patient with me. I had a card issue forgot I came to Alabama, tried to use it and it was decline. I had to call to get it straighten out and she waited patiently for me.

Staff is great, room was nice and clean. Residents (people that live there) are loud and belligerent.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would! MADE reservations for a NON-Smoking room and received a SMOKING room… covers had holes in them, beds not sturdy, TV had bad signal, bathroom not up to par, room is not worth it … basically a crappy MOTEL … DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK HERE YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY AT ALLLL!

Bad business practices. Would not recommend to anyone. Paid for a week rate here due to a job in town. Stayed a day and a half and my job was canceled. I checked out and was given no pro rated refund. They took all my cash. Little sign on the door said no refund after 15 min. I could understand a night or two but at a weekly rate?

Stayed with my son. Room was clean. Stayed in quiet area.

Check in night girl was nice, pool closed at 9 PM which is way too early since it's nice out and they had nice pool lights, room and bed was clean, elevator so scary I was afraid of it, tub was very tiny and I couldn't even fit to take a bath, room was very minimal and after I found out this was a weekly type thing where people live in thought the $50 a night was steep since it's around $200 a week, they do have nice guest washers and dryers, theyou were knocking on the door ato 1030 and since most guests are weekly why is the check out even so early, a housekeeper parked me in as I was leaving, I thought I left my wallet here and called later and got the rudest lady that wouldn't even go ask maids and just said come back tomorrow umm I live 2000 miles away and kind of need that now, honestly don't pay $50 cus days Inn across the street on booking sites wasuch ten dollars more with way better room, free breakfast and pool open to 11

It was an awesome place to be in. Along with the rooms you will get to see some fun activities too! So have fun guys and please do check-in.

I read over the reviews and I couldn't help but to support the Bama Inn. The atmosphere is wonderful and quiet. The owner is a fantastic guy. I stayed here over two weeks and the front desk and housekeepers do a great job. They are friendly, professional, and hardworking. I read the review about the maintenance guy… I am very sad about that. The "maintenance" guy as we speak befriended me. I drink beer and we drunk a couple together but he offered me prostitutes, crack (told me he knows where to get drugs), and tried to sell me foodstamps… isn't that against the law?! His wife or girlfriend is young he's old no big thing but she's a crackhead herself because she's maybe in her twenties or thirties and she's got rotten and missing teeth and bad breath. They "worked" but left their two or three year old son Legend or something like that in the room for hours with no food, snot coming out of his nose, and wearing just a pissed filled diaper. This kid is super skinny and wears the same clothes everyday (if he had it on) sometimes he'd run out naked all over the third floor and hotel… where's the parents and ranks as if he lived in an ashtray. The kid and I'm not trying to speak bad about any child but the kid can't speak because he only has the four walls in the room to talk to. His father always beat hims and tells him to shut up. I'm like let kids be kids man. Call DHR on these guys! I'm not a bad guy I don't mess with stuff like this but geez don't listen to their rantings.

Not too impressed. Front office kept calling room saying they were gettting noise complaints from other guests about our room. But we were pretty much silent other than very low TV volume. Also there was quite a bit of repair needed on the establishment.

September 18, 2016 I Paid for 7 nights, stayed one night in a room. Slept one night in my car. I found Bed bugs in 3 out of 4 rooms. When I complained in a calm and professional manner. Kim Baptist and Marc "The Owner" called the police and had me arrested for the first time in my 36 years alive and charged with criminal trespassing. I paid $231.87. I got no refund only a trip to jail. If you are a decent human, with ANY kind of standards, DO NOT STAY AT THE PLACE.

Was responding to a medical call. The place was under renovation. Is not what I would consider as a place I would stay unless that was the only choice.

Hotel was trash, they got dirty doors, beds sheets are old, small bathroom, the envirement feels dirty. No way of getting refund after 15 minutes. I do not recommend at ALL.

It wasnt a good experience. Construction, renovations and loud guest made it impossible to rest.

It's OK not the best the bed frame is broken but they were working on 8 room 102
