It was just a room. Way over priced! And in bad need of updating.

It is a nice place to stay but but when we checked in they sent us to a room that wasn't there. It took 20 min to convince the girl at the front desk that she had made a mistake. After walking around the hotel for 30 min they finally gave us a room. The rooms where very comfortable and in the heart of the city.

They change your reservation without letting you know and then they don’t have a room for the day you originally booked! No help in finding another room. Bad customer service.

Great place. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Walking distance to everything downtown Fairhope. I am a regular here.

The location is great. They have vending machines to accommodate the absence of the mini store that's signature of Hampton. Plus, the staff (women at front desk) were very friendly.

Can not use internet, offline, television doesn't work, don't walk on carpet barefoot because it's nasty, no channels on TV, should be refunded, desk help absolutely no help, wished I had stayed at Key West in Fairhope rating just as high and cheaper.

I stayed there June 24th 2018 we checked in to our room and then we went in our room our air conditioner wasn't working and the microwave wasn't working and refrigerator wasn't working I plugged the refrigerator and microwave into another out let and when I did that all of the lights in the room shorted out the breakfast was a little cold and they didn't have any bananas but the lady at the front desk put us into another room and it was a lot nicer.

This hotel is in serious need of a thorough cleaning and renovation! Had to call housekeeping to remake our bed with sheets that fit the bed, as the original fitted sheet was only about an inch from the top of the mattress. It would’ve come totally lose if anyone had sat on the bed, much less slept in it. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, there was mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom, and the shower leaked on the floor. Our second day there, the bathroom sink stopped draining, so we had to have someone come in to repair that. The only reason I am giving this three stars is because the staff were helpful and courteous, and we love the area.

Extremely convenient in downtown FairHope. Shopping and great food is only steps away. Breakfast, which is provided, was fresh and delicious. Hotel is recently updated with new furnishings.

This was our third trip to Fairhope. We've always stayed in this hotel and we've always had a good stay. The breakfast is one of the best I've had in a hotel. The hotel is smack in downtown and an easy walk to anywhere downtown including the pier and the beach.

Why pay more when you can stay in the center of town for less. Plenty of great restaurants in walking distance.

Great lodging for events nearby. Well maintained with clean environment. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. In walking distance of plenty stores and restaurants. Very convenient parking too.

Very cool hotel located perfectly with in Fairhope! If you're going to go drink and eat this is the place to stay :-)

Beautiful rooms that are clean, with cozy comfortable beds. Great atmosphere & Staff members are always friendly and helpful. A spacious breakfast area with a variety of foods an beverages, fireplace an dining room. Parking garage with easy access to rooms. Rooms with access for computers an electronics. Wonderful for your next vacation destination, holidays or just a night away stay.

The staff at this Hampton Inn was exemplary. They made the stay worthwhile. The facility itself was substandard. Don’t let the curb appeal fool you. Hampton Inn corporate did not deem the charming city of Fairhope worthy of an “A “ facility. I know they have them because I live in a city with a lovely Hampton Inn. The lobby was so generic and drab with the worst of interior design and colors that showed very little attention to detail. Our carpet in our room was uniformly sticky, not because it wasn’t clean but because it was so cheap. Nothing but the people that worked there and the Christmas decoration expressed the creative energy and warmth that is Fairhope Hampton Inn corporate should be ashamed of themselves.

Great location. Right in the center of charming Downtown Fairhope. Everything is walking distance. Friendly staff. Clean. Free parking.

The rooms are very nice the beds are comfortable and they give u plenty of pillows and the shower has good water pressure! Hey I stay in a lot of hotels what can I say! Lol.

Beautiful hotel. Blends in with the businesses around it. Extremely helpful and polite staff. Clean lobby and rooms. You can spend an entire day wandering around, enjoying the food and never have to drive anywhere because hotel is located in heart of downtown.

Outstanding hotel. Nice staff, very clean, and excellent location. I also thought is was awesome that they have Luke 2:11 written on the wall by the elevators. I will always stay here for now on when working in the area. I am a Hilton Diamond member, and out of the literal hundreds of hotels I have stayed at this one is now my favorite!

The Hampton Inn of Fairhope is widely known as a very clean and professional Inn that is highly recommended for friends and family visiting from out of town. We have heard only positive comments about the Hampton Inn of Fairhope! Many people don't know that the site that the Hampton Inn sits on was once the Historic Jordan Clinic where hundreds of babies were born, prior to the establishment of Thomas Hospital. I was born there on March 31, 1957. The Director of the Fairhope History Museum, Donnie Barrett and his twin brother, Ronnie, were born there, also. So, this place is very special to many people in our area!

I stayed there one night late August as the result of a mixup at another property. I’m a Mobile native and a former longtime Fairhope resident and downtown business owner who now resides in Western New York State. They have clean, comfortable rooms, just the right amenities and a perfect location for revisiting my old haunts, favorite shops and delicious eateries! Fairhope is a great town for walking and exploring and The Hampton Inn is conveniently ideal. See you Spring of 2018!

Great location on Section St. The room was large and had two queen sized beds. Stay away from the hotel coffee and instead visit one of the many coffee shops within walking distance.

All of the rooms are different, so there's no consistency on how the AC works. Parking is free, but on the street or in the public deck. I got called at 11pm to move my car so the city could work on some lights just 3 hours after asking if it was OK to park where I was. Otherwise, it is just like any other Hampton… Good, clean, and friendly.

Clean and modern room. Located in middle of downtown with lots of shopping and dining options. Great breaksfast in the morning in lobby!

Hotel was very accommodating, and front desk was extremely nice. The AC units in the room were fairly loud, but not enough to ruin the experience.

Our home away from home. We never want to leave. We seem to always extend our original plans when staying here at The Fairhope Hampton Inn. The staff is like part of our family.

I had absolutely no issues with this hotel. Clean, neat and comfortable. The beds were excellent as were the pillows. Breakfast was great. They kept everything fully stocked even though we ate breakfast later. Friendly staff from those cleaning, those attending the breakfast buffet and the front desk. Loved the popcorn machine! And of course the fresh hot cookies in the evening were wonderful! We had the large balcony. Made for a great girls get away place to stay! Especially convenient to walk all around town.

FYI: I normally do not write reviews. This place stood out enough to us, to take the time to let everyone know how great it is. My husband I decided to do getaway for a night. A friend recommended this hotel. I called the hotel and asked questions about location etc. The lady I spoke with was very helpful. I do not remember her name. (Sorry) When we arrived at the hotel we were treated wonderfully by Patti. (I did remember her name) We decided to get a balcony room facing the beautiful downtown. The room was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. You will not be disappointed. We ate at Danny's Chicken, and papas pizza. They were both wonderful. Papas pizza is right behind the parking garage of the hotel. Danny's Chicken is on the main road in Fairhope. To the beer drinkers … the grocery store downtown about a block from the hotel has several beers on tap. If you have a growler take it, they will fill it up or you can purchase one there. To Cigar Smokers… my husband was so impressed when we walked in. There is a Cigar Shop called Bouch's beside the grocery store. It is a Cigar smoker's dream. It has anything you would want. I hope this review helps somebody have a wonderful little getaway like we did.

Do not let the low rates fool you. The lobby and rooms are remodeled and top notch. The location is right on the main drag. The pool is great. The parking is free and very convenient for both the stay and excursions.

Nice. Popcorn in entrance. Well maintained and good staff. Small pool. Easy access to restraunts and shopping.

It has very good housekeepers and a polite staff. The chef is also very good. The beds are sturdy and not too soft, just right.

We recently stayed at this hotel for four nights. The hotel was fine — staff was kind and the room was as expected. What wasn't as expected was the addition of a large (3'x3') Bible verse to the wall immediately on exit from the elevators in the lobby. Many people probably disagree with me, but don't think this kind of decor has any place in a national chain hotel. I expect the decor to be more secular and welcoming if all faiths in a national chain, and I certainly didn't feel welcomed. I understand that the intent in hanging the Bible verse was probably positive during the time of Easter, but it made me uncomfortable enough to question staying there again. Maybe that's the goal. Regardless, I thought I'd share my two cents for those who might feel similarly and want to avoid the situation.

Choice of this hotel was a result of a conference I attended. It's decent, but also shows a little sign of either age or lack of a full maintenance plan. Although I'd stay here again, I'd probably also consider other properties.

This is our go-to place when staying on the eastern shore. Friendly staff and clean rooms you typically get from a Hampton, but they also have a good many "suites" (ie bigger rooms) and balcony rooms. Cell service is a bit spotty in parts of the hotel, but that's my only complaint.

Nice staff and standard rooms. There's coffee and breakfast in the mornings. The location is nice since it's right downtown. There's also a decent fitness room. No complaints.

The room was solid. Fairhope is always quaint and charming. Great place to hang out on a date weekend.

Diamond member — initially booked with good room. Changed by desk to room by housekeeping who are loud and wake my family up. Asked for a different room yet I was told none were available in my room type and the hotel was full, yet both times I waited in line at the desk today I saw individuals in front of me booking/extending (one each) thier stays past my checkout date. The room also has overwhelming fragrance smell, I assume from the housekeeping.

Overall, this Hampton was a very pleasant experience with nice amenities and friendly customer service. Located in the quaint Fairhope area, the hotel architecture does not disturb the neighborhood style, and therefore it felt more welcoming then your average chain hotel. The surrounding neighborhood is really interesting as well, with intriguing restaurants and art vendors. The rooms were very welcoming and outfitted with clean and comfortable furniture. As with most hotels, water pressure in the shower was a little lacking and the beside clock was all out of sorts. I would definitely recommend this hotel for individuals seeking a comfortable, accommodating, and affordable hotel in lower Alabama.

Old hotel, small rooms, smelly carpet, and very loud a/c. The front desk clerk who checked us in was extremely rude but the other clerks were ok. It's in a great downtown location but that is all it has going for it. We would not stay here again.

This is our favorite hotel for our group. They always go above and beyond to make our trip fabulous! We love the staff.

Would not stay again at this property and let me tell you why. When I checked in I was put in a double and after going to the room (and I could smell smoke when I went in the room) I clled front desk and asked to be moved to king as this was what I thought I had booked. They moved me to king and when I entered this room I could smell smoke. I do not smoke and when I got home from my trip my balance was wrong in my account. After checking I found that the hotel had charged my debit card $250. I called and front desk advised it was a smoking fee as I had smoked in the room. I told them the room smelled like smoth when I checked in. I left voicemail for GM and she never returned my call. I called a second time and left detailed message about why I was calling that I did not smoke in room and wanted my funds put back in my bank. She never returned my call. I called a third time and spoke to a front desk agent that advised that it was his last week. At this point I am assuming that this is the way the hotel makes some of its revenue. I advised him to give the GM a message not to bother to call me as she is not a professional person and that I would just go on line and advise anyone not to stay there — makes no difference if you smoke or not she will charge you bank. Please do not trust this hotel not to charge your debit card for whatever they can come up with. I would not stay at a hotel I do not trust. This hotel needs a new General Manager.

I love this Hampton, great location.

I had a great stay with Hampton Inn Fairhope until the last day. We were there for a wedding and had a great time, wonderful location and good customer service staff. However, it wasn't until the last day when it hit the fan. My girlfriend, on mistake, left some important jewelry in one of the drawers in our suite (two expensive bracelets, diamond earrings, and a pearl necklace that belonged to the bride — all which was sentimental). Two hours following check out and realizing of her mistake, I called and informed the staff at Hampton. I was transferred to the manager of Housekeeping/Laundry who informed me she would personally check and call me back — no call returned. My girlfriend's mother also tried and tried without any response, the general manager continued to give us the run-around. The front desk attendant made the mistake of telling us that no one had checked into the room yet — so the missing jewelry would have to of gone in the pockets of someone who had access to the room. Hotel staff/housekeeping. Bottom line, don't trust this housekeeping staff with anything valuable.

Stayed here for one night thr day before yesterday. Parked on the street which was fine. Glad I didn't have to park in the garage around back as it woh ld have been quite a trek with my bags. The hallway smelled like smoke so I was concerned the room might also but it didn't. It actually smellled so fresh and clean! My room was in the frk nt so it had a balcony to the street. It was so nice. All the trees were covered in lights and so pretty. I loved everything about this hotel. I will definitely stay again if I come thru again.

After searching reviews to find a nice place to stay, we where so shocked to find that this hotel was smack dab in the middle of the cuties town. It was nice, clean and had a great breakfast. Awesome hotel in an incredible location — Highly recommend.

This hotel is situated in the middle of the beautiful, quaint town of Fairhope, which is full of unique little shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the service is fantastic. The complimentary breakfast is fabulous (grits, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, muffins, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, mini omelets, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereals, milk, juices, coffee). The hotel staff is very polite and are very speedy when you ask for something (extra blankets, pillows, etc). We fell in love with this town and when we come back, we will stay at The Hampton Inn again.
