Very clean rooms and friendly staff. They have good breakfast too.

We had a bad experience from a previous hotel and we came to country inn and suites hoping they had a room available. We got there and the lady behind the desk was extremely nice and helpful. We got our room and it was really nice as well. We also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning.

I've stayed here several times traveling to Birmingham for doctor's appointments and everything is just spotlessly clean well-organized the staff is extremely helpful and friendly on finding your way around Birmingham I highly recommend this hotel if you're going to be staying in the Hoover area this would be the place where I would stay.

Clean and neat. More variety with the continental breakfast. Pool area can be more inviting. House keeping is nice.

Clean, breakfast okay, seems updated recently. Front desk very nice, Very Accommodating! Requested extra towels and top floor. I was top floor corner with towels on the bed when I arrived! Workout room not bad. For the price it’s great.

My family and I only stayed one night as we were just passing through Birmingham. I found the beds uncomfortable and the pillows need replacing. The bathroom was fine. And the breakfast was only so-so. I don’t think I would want to stay more that one night, though.

Nice amenities but the staff was very rude (KEN) I awoke to find two maids entered my room and were standing in my bathroom. When they saw I was awake one said "sorry sorry sorry as they both exited. STRANGE behavior.

Concierge was friendly even in the middle of the night when I checked in. Ken the manager was also very sweet and accommodating. I absolutely love the morning breakfast offered. The waffles are my favorite part. I wish this one had biscuits n gravy like the one in Bessemer on Academy tho. Other than that, I had a great experience here. I hope to be able to use more of the amenities next time I'm in town.

I usually refrain from writing reviews… But this hotel is awful. Recently here in town for a golf tournament. Then after a long day out in the heat on the golf course I walk into a completely dark room with the AC off. I booked the hotel ahead of time so the room should have been ready for someone’s arrival. But walking into an 82 degree room is just cheap on the part of the management of the hotel. The room was decently clean. The other odd/funny thing in the room is a list of prices for idems that could be removed from the room. All I can say is this hotel must be hurting for money and is cutting cost and squeezing every penny they can. Would not stay here again.

Absolute disaster I can't believe anyone had said this place is above a flea bag hotel. I have pictures. Stains on lamp shade, bathroom light flickering, the place is gross. Marriott next door paid for it because they overbooked us and send us here. Free is too much, its almost 1 am and iI in sleep it's repulsive.

It was really easy to check in, particularly being military, they worked with us to give us our allotted rate per night. The room was very clean and comfortable. They actually had hot breakfast, including a waffle maker, yogurt, and other assortments. Overall, great hotel.

Rooms were ok. We were passing through on vacation. Breakfast was not worth waiting for but the free cookies before bed were good.

Spacious, clean room. Plentiful breakfast and very kind and friendly staff. A bit of noise from the nearby busy road, but otherwise a very comfortable stay.

Decent place to stay for a reasonable price. Close to all the good and shopping on 280 and I-459. You do get some highway noise since it is so close to the interstate, but it is not unacceptable.

Location is great with access to 280 and The Colonnade. Lots of food choices near by. Rooms were clean. Friendly staff.

This is a rather old hotel that seems to have had a new paint. The rooms are rather tired and carpets feel sticky. On the room I tried, the bathroom door didn't lock, the sink was partially blocked and the cistern had a habit of running for 10 minutes. The management seemed oblivious to the faults and and offered no apology.

Love this hotel one of the best in Birmingham… I stayed their extensively during training for work. The people are so nice they will help you out with anything you ask.

The room was great! The price was wonderful for the amount of time we spent there and for the amenities provided. Staff was courteous, as well. The breakfast was your usual hotel variety, but was very Good! Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, warm atmosphere here. Only the goods are a bit old. Breakfast is great, you can find hot service.

A rustic place, I found it definitely great compared to American standards, the lobby is very cozy and the rooms clean.

If I️ could give a lower rating, I️ would. We found roaches crawling all over the breakfast foods. We asked for a refund through Expedia, which is who we booked the hotel through and the hotel declined to refund us even though the ENTIRE reason we chose this hotel over others in the area (aLoft) was for the breakfast. Not only did we find roaches, but the shower in the bathroom had no guard to contain the shower water. When showering the water flowed literally into the entrance of the room. I️ wish I️ would have known as my children were with us and continued to slip during showers that evening and morning. Not a good experience at the location itself or with customer service.

It's not as clean as it looks. My husband and I spent 2 nights here and our first night we dealt with 2 bugs in our rooms. My husband killed them and we thought "it's just two bugs. " Until the second night where he killed 4 more bugs. We then went to the front desk, and they gave us another room. We get into that room and saw ANOTHER BUG. We will NOT be returning. There's a bug problem here.

This appears to be a fairly new location, we enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable. Our only negative feedback is, however, our sink was cracked through and there was no coffee left or much breakfast at 930 am when we came down to eat and checkout.

Clean … Lovely room … comfy bed and excellent pillows! Nice secure feeling location with seclusion. You feel tucked away from highways. Had laundry area (which we needed desperately! ) Decent warm bfast in morning. Warm cookies on counter when we checked in! Would definitely stay there again!

Breakfast was alright. They served the same thing both mornings we where there. Best thing about this place was the friendly staff.

Very clean. Within 2 miles there is approximately 20 places to eat. All of good quality food. Rooms come with a tv, microwave, refrigerator. A colths iron, board, and hair dryer are included as well. Beds are nice and clean and sleep well. HVAC is controlled by wall thermostat. And yes it cools down to 65 if that is what you want.

Poor Quality Room. Run down, water stained ceiling, large bugs crawling on ceiling, Requested king riom, reserved a king room and was dumped into a queen. Drapes didn't quit cover window. All for the low price of 103.00 What a joke.

The room smelled musty. General appearance was clean. Upon closer inspection, it was not. Tooth paste splatters on wall behind sink, wad of pink stuff (not sure what is was) on tray behind coffee pot. 2 ice buckets, one liner and bottom one was moldy. Ect. Ect.

Overall this hotel was a very good deal for the price. The location was very convenient right off 459 and you couldn't hear the highway from the room at all. The room was also very clean and modernly furnished. The only draw back was the check in staff was very rude. Other than that I would highly recommend it.

Courteous staff. Excellent, quiet location. Close to fine food. Relaxing, exilerating, extremely pleasant stay. It is my Go To facility in Birmingham.

Rude desk clerk. Rude manager. Charged 20 dollars for taking a pillow, which never happened. Room was filthy and there was mold in the bathroom. I will never stay at a Choice Hotels location again.

Room was not clean and overnight my vehicle was broken into and things were stolen out of it. I talked to the receptionist and said they would look at the cameras but called back a few hours later to ask if cameras were checked and no manager was there to speak to and they could not give me any answers.

My car was parked in a handicap parking space and the Hotel had painters painting the upper portion of the carport were they spattered paint all over my car. Mind you now it was a new car, just 4 months old, Left message for manager to call but did not. I called and the Manager was very rude and was not going to do anything about it. Called Choice Hotels about problem and was told it was up to the on site Manager to decide. I I spent several hours in removing said paint splatters. As I said the manager was rude and told me to do what I wanted to do about contacting the bbb and choice hotels. Not one bit happy with this manager. Wish everybody luck with dealing with the personal at this Hotel. If it wasn't for the points that I have, I would stay some where else.

I loved it. It is a great place. I loved it. Me and my family had a great time. The breakfast was very good. I loved it. And they're are also food places around the place.

I like this place but parking sometimes could be a big problem especially with a rig but clears up around noon.

I'm a diamond member. It is a decent comfort inn for the price. Nothing special. Clean and comfortable. Pretty good location, good parking, windows open. Place is a little on the old side, but not bad, I'd stay here again.

Very nice and clean. Breakfast very good. Hot eggs and sausage. Oatmeal, grits. All kinds of food. Our room had extra pillows and extra towels hand towels and face cloths. No noise. Very comfortable king bed. Sleep so comfortable. No complaints.

Myself and 18 co-workers stayed at this hotel for 8 days at the beginning of November, and another 8 at the end, as we were involved in a power plant inspection project. The rooms were clean and neat. The lobby was nice, and we congregated there watching TV in the morning. We had to leave early to the plant, but they made sure that breakfast was set up an hour early every day and that was a nice touch. Room tv's were nice (flat screen), and no probs with the wireless. With so many guys traveling together, we left the rooms a little messy, but they were always clean when we got back from work. I even had quite a few guests in my room one afternoon to watch football. Lots of our garbage was left behind with no problems from the cleaning staff. In fact, they turned in my cell phone the day we left, which I left on my bed. Paula went above and beyond by tracking me down and sending it back with no charge. She wouldnt accept a reward. It's nice to know that there are honest and good people still around. She also did a great job of booking and accomodating our group twice! Kudos to her and the whole staff. Most of us are Diamond members that travel for a living. We will be back.

Really nice hotel. Was just remodeled and looked brand new. Large comfortable room. Good breakfast. We needed a place to overnight on our way to Atlanta and picked up a Travel Buddy coupon book when we stopped for gas. So we walked in with our coupon and no reservation, got a really nice room at really good price and were greeted by a very helpful and friendly desk cerlk.
