This place is great! Very clean, beautiful, close to everything. The staff is kind and helpful. The breakfast with our host Ramadan is excellent. We are returning next year with kids and grandkids.

Great hotel, in the old style! The view and location is beautiful. Delicious breakfast on the 4th floor overlooking the Bosphorus, Topcaps, AiaSofia and Sultanahmet Mosque. Breakfast is prepared by a very friendly and attentive elderly man. One evening I wanted something sweet for a child, called the reception and this man brought a tray of tea and sliced muffin, said that everything is free and that we should feel at home.
We were in room 305, the internet was weak, on the terrace and at the reception is great. A quiet, family-run hotel with great service! Recommend!

Great place, really beautiful and cozy, 1-3 minute walking distance to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, but if the place is great, the people who work here is even greater, excellent atention, really good breakfast. I will be coming soon again.

Thanks especially to Ramazan who made us feel very welcome. The room was not very big but had everything you needed for a traveler. Good bed and nice bathroom. The breakfast was very clean and the view of the Marmara and Bosphorus.

I visit that hotel already 4 times and always is ppeasple for me to be back. They have great teracte with view to Bospfor, nice and clean rooms. Also great breackbre.

Amazing hotel small yet beautiful with a great location very close to Aya Sofia and Sultan Ahmad Blue Mosque, the best part was staff with their friendly ways and smiles that made us feel like home Breakfast was very tasty and view of restaurant one side to historical area and the other facing Bosphorus with a very acceptable rate and value for money.

Where do I start? First of all, the location is superb and the building, its interior decoration and architecture really gets you in the 'period' mood for sightseeing. I spent a short time with my grandmother here while we were visiting historical places nearby and there not enough words to describe how attentive, friendly and warm the staff members were, how clean and convenient the room was and the lovely breakfast in the terrace restaurant. But the real treat was to draw the room curtains and see the lovely view of Hagia Sophia! I cannot wait to come back. Highly recommended, lovely family hotel.

Staff, location, breakfast, tea. The rooms are clean. Not far from the sea. You can admire sunsets and just the sea. All major attractions within walking distance.

Great decoration. Perfect location. Amazing staff. The 4th floor terrace where breakfasts is served has a panoramic view on Hagia Sofia, thr Byxantine City Wall and the Bosphorus.

Good location hotel, very nice. no toothbrush and lazer, but no probrem you can get near shop 2 min from hotel. so many restaurant, souvenir shop around hotel ofcourse mosque.

I have stayed here three times in six years (once with family, once on business, once for leisure) and it is wonderful! Location can't be beat, staff incredibly friendly and helpful, sumptuous breakfast in the rooftop restaurant overlooking the Bosphorus. The rooms have recently been renovated and are clean, lovely, comfortable, air-conditioned, with excellent lighting and state-of-the-art bathrooms. You can't do better than this jewel of a hotel in the best location in town, that combines the elegance of an Ottoman queen with the convenience of modern facilities.

We stayed here and it was excellent. Very nice people and they took care of our needs. Amazing location.

We stayed 10 days here and loved it. The hotel is located away from the noisy center of the old section with its many restaurants, so it is quiet in the evenings. Mornings after about 9 were noisy outside as many tour buses dropped off right outside the hotel, but by then you should be up and gone. The accommodations were excellent. One jewel is the top floor restaurant with its fantastic view. To the South you have the Sea of Marmara, to the East, the Bosphorus Strait, to the North, the Hagia Sophia and the Tokapi Palace, and to the West, the Blue Mosque. We spent many a breakfast, lunch, and dinner there well served by Ramazon who always cheerful and helpful and seemed to be always there. The food was great. You can't get very much closer to the main attractions than this charming hotel.

Our Stay at the Hotel Valide Sultan was an excellent surprise. The location is amazing — it is just outside the palace and is only a couple minute walk from the old city sites. The views are great too, from the rooms and especially the glass walled bar/cafe on the top floor. We could see the Bosporus and Asia, as well as the Haya Sophia and other sites from our windows. The staff is very friendly, the place is really clean and it is a good value. This place is a nice mix where you get all the amenities of a big international place, but have the small local charm too. The rooms are not huge, but they are plenty big. I would stay here again in a minute.

Located in the heart of the historic Sultanahmet district of Istanbul, the Hotel Valide Sultan is an excellent place to stay at. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the rooms are not huge but not small either and are nicely decorated. They have air-conditioning and are cleaned daily. Breakfast is served at the rooftop with a lovely view of the city. Its of the traditional Turkish variety. Overall I enjoyed my stay but there were a few things that I didn't like. There was no iron provided in the room and you have to pay for getting your clothes ironed, no tea or coffee maker in the room either. There were a few cigarette related burn holes in the bed sheets, the chair and even the curtains but that's not the management's fault. Guests who don't care are at fault here.
