I checked in to Galata on 17th June 2019. The Manager Ismail messaged me in prior reaching to Istanbul and it seemed like they have a good team to manage the property well. My Total stay was 8 days and 7 nights and writing the review from the hotel because none care here where all day I was not spending in hotels. Since 1st day the Air conditioner was not working. Moreover the staff did not understand English and every time they started calling Ismail and he said my shift is over. Ismail didn't favor us.
I still have all conversations saved. Secondly, I strictly told almost every member of the staff not to clean my room/room service. Dnd sign at the door was placed too and they cleaned my room and didn't agree their mistake. 8:10am for someone who was not well and had to take medicine. The kitchen staff was not very accommodating and said to come at 8:30 and on insisting provided milk and juice and told not to come again. The Hotel has a business pathetic environment and the Air conditioner doesn't work well and make the room feel like fire. I asked for a refund for the remaining days which Ismail denied. No other way is left except Police/Media to help so going forward. Nobody is recommended to stay in this hotel.

This place is very very bad joke. I would bet we didn't have clean sheets on out bed, there was all the time coming cigarette smoke to our room, room was cold, hot water in the evening only every second night and after all of this breakfast which is equal to breakfast on some hostels. And the view from roof terrace?

Nice hotel near Galata tower, excellent value for money… It has great view from the terrace but not the same from the room (room view looks at some old ugly building) Clean, quiet, in a walking distance from two metro stations sishane and halic (1st one up the hill, 2nd down the hill), recommended for young couples ;)

I stayed here with my wife 5 day in July 2016 and I was very surprised. The hotel is very clean and modern. Its located on the end of the very famous Istiklal Caddesi where you can find everything from fashion to restaurants bars and more.
The famouse fishing bridge is only 5 minutes by foot the famouse Galata Tower is only 5 minute by foot and at all its a very good place to stay for a very good price.

I was in July 5 days at Galata Grace and can only recommend it to others.
It is more an "aparthotel" or simply a room without food, however it is well located, clean and very appealing. The staff is also very nice. No matter what time with your card, you can always get through the entrance.
At first you think it's a bit remote but if you're oriented, you can quickly see that the hotel is located at the very bottom of the famous Istiklal Caddesi shopping Boulevard (Beyogulu/Taksim). The famous fisherman's Bridge Galata is also around the corner, just like the famous Galata Tower and also the famous Mosque district.
On the whole, I can only say about price performance Top!

Galata Grace is not exactly "the hotel", but more like house with concierge: the hall on the first floor, 3 floors with 2 apartments on each and the 5-th floor with the kitchen and beautiful terrace and fantastic view oа Istanbul, Halic Bridge, Golden Horn, few mosques and even Valenta aqueduct. The hotel is very clean, nice amв stylish, the personnel is very nice too and speaks English. You can order a Turkish breakfast at the terrace at usual price (EUR 15 per person). Also you can have tea and coffee for free during all day, take your own food and drinks to the fridge and have you meal or just seat or work or chat whenever you want at this beautiful terrace, we absolutely loved it! The rooms are small but comfort and clean, but you should remember that there are other houses around and at night you better close the curtains for your privacy. Other minus — is some fuel oil odor from Halic Bridge at night, but we just didn't open the window using air conditioner and everything was OK. Besides you also have the minaret near hotel so if you don't want to wake up for prayer at 12.00 p. M and 5.00 a. M. You also better keep your window closed. But these are just few little moments not compared with overall comfort of the hotel, its location (10 minutes to Galata Tower, 5 minutes to Metro/tram station/Golden Horn embankment) and unbelievable terrace and view. We totally recommend it!

We are a group of eight from abroad and booked four rooms in the Galata grace Beyouglu hotel from 17th of this month till 24th. From the very first day air conditioning in the hotel is not working despite complaining several times by each member no effort is made to fix the AC. And apart from that staff here is treating us very badly and are pretending as if they don't owe us any services. The window of the balcony is also stuck and the room feels as if in hell. Our being tourist and non turkish speakers is being exploited in a very bad manner. Also the refrigerator isn't working at all. We feel like cheated and want refund.
