Arch-ist Taksim Suites Hotel

The worst hostel I've ever seen! Beware of beautiful pictures they have on site actually is falling apart, we don't invest a single euro in fact one lira in maintenance. My experience goes back to Sunday April 14, 2013, I had booked 3 days for 3 people in a quadruple room with bath in the room.
Already the first impact was awful, a steep, narrow staircase connects the entrance with the reception and on the landing quite a bucket for mopping to occupy most of the space available. I expected that the crafty man at the desk had the good sense to move the bucket seeing luggage charges 3 people climb stairs but it didn't happen, of course, it's customary to keep the bucket with dirty water in the way.
But apart from this little impatience what I found in the room was far worse. The room was filthy, the floor showed shoe prints anywhere, yellow pillows, mattresses filled with dark hair and sometimes you could see even a few ants. Even the new sheets, which were to be clean, were stained in some spots and completely crumpled. As if that were not enough, the bathroom was worthy of a tavern, moisture on the ceiling, shower with approximate repair left with exposed concrete and a tap unusable because you just opened the water literally jumped into the air.

Stayed there for a whole week in January 2013. 10 out of 10. Staff was enthusiastic and motivated to provide service as well as give advice on places to see, eat and hang out. The hostel is clean, well equiped, the mattresses make you sleep like a baby, and the location couldn't be better. It's less than 5 minutes walk from Taksim square, where the airport bus gets to, and from there you can also walk to places like Galata tower & bridge, Blue Mosque, Bazaar, etc. Also 20 mins walk from the ferry port, Kabatas. Definitely worth staying there.
