Historical texture, amazing view, great kitchen, friendly staff. The fact that it is in the center of the city is a separate advantage.

Attentive staff, spacious and comfortable rooms, view of the Golden Horn, fantastic breakfast, nespresso coffee available in the room, all this, besides being a historic hotel with impeccable décor and furnishings. Be sure to visit Room 101 at atatürk and explore the hotel's facilities. I highly recommend it and I will be back soon!

In a city that has a number of fabulous hotels, the Pera Palace is absolutely one of my favorite hotels on the planet! It is at once Grand yet intimate, with luxurious rooms and suites, and public rooms that exude the glamorous style of a bygone era. Beautiful floral arrangements in the lobby area lead you to a salon where you can easily imagine Agatha Christie, a long term resident, enjoying an afternoon tea. Having a drink in the Orient Bar conjures up images of Ernest Hemingway another frequent guest. There is a lovely spa and indoor swimming pool. Originally built to house well healed Europeans arriving on the Orient Express, it is truly a place where East meets West!

It is a beautiful and impressive place, very good service and really makes you feel in another era.

As soon as you enter the hotel, you are transferred back in time to 1800s. Very beautıful, very hıstorıc, great food and servıce, very helpful staff. It has a special importance for our country. Our natıonal leader Ataturk stayed here and has a room as a museum. I hıghly recommend thıs hotel to everyone.

First of all the hotel itself is magic, its architecture, it is a legendary place.
The service was excellent, without fault. The staff is extremely efficient and nice.
The afternoon tea is a must, not only because it takes place in the mythical cafe but also because the gentleman who plays the piano is very entertaining, not least because of his international repertoire. The patisserie is sophisticated and tasty.
The Pera Palace Hotel is a must.

It was great to see the place that was mentioned in so many books! The atmosphere truly feels like a mystery novel's setting. I'm grateful that we were allowed to walk around even though we didn't buy anything/ stay there.

What a great experience. You can tell good hotels by their attention to detail and this place really does that. We got one of the Greta Garbo corner rooms which was spacious and pleasant. The only mistake we made was signing up for breakfast which we never woke up for because it ends at 10. If you're an early riser go for it but honestly the buffet breakfast is just average. The room service breakfast on the other hand is spectacular and easily enough for two people. Generally the food was excellent. The staff is more than friendly and polite, they were thoroughly professional and extremely helpful with just about everything. The place itself is elegant and has a real old world charm. Well located just five minutes walk from Galata Tower, around the corner from Istiklal Street and 8 minutes walk from the tram to the old city, it was a great choice. Just make sure you're willing to pay a little extra for one of the better rooms and you won't be disappointed.

A historic hotel. The rooms were small but comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. The location is awesome and the service was consistently good.

Breakfasts are good, but monotonous!

Pera Palace breakfast is always wonderful — such delicious food and excellent service! Our young waiter, Mehmet, is so attentive. He’s particularly helpful with teaching me Turkish!

Overall feel elegant and historical hotel, there is a century-old antique elevator, breakfast bread delicious dishes, hotel location, but the disadvantage is that the room slightly old soundproofing is poor, especially when the first floor of the party, the sound is completely unable to isolate, direct noise to the end of the morning, to the counter to reflect can not be handled,

Such a historic place. I bet its one of the most lively and beautiful hotels in Europa and the World. Elegant, chic, romantic and full of History… Agatha Christie write her book "Murder on the Orient Express" and her traces are all over this Hotel. You will experience the classy and cozy link of an excellent hospitality and cultural gateway.

There are not many places like the Pera Palas and truth be told, the place is pure History. Every cup can tell a tale and so on. The staff is incredible, after the latest renovations the place got more modern without losing the classy style and every room is a night to remember. I love Istambul, but on some days I could even stay the whole day in the Pera, thinking about Agatha Christie writing “Murder on the Orient Express” and Mata Hari in her missions. Gosh! It’s heaven!

Small rooms very noisy at night, night club opposite side of the street, staff very rude. I have left valuable item in the room and never gave me back after 2 visits, they are still checking. Not recommended.

Historical and authentic, but the affordable price, betrays a certain neglect of the details. There are No Agatha Christie's glaps, but it remains a great place.

Superbly spectacular views and inside! One of the magnificent interiors that I have ever come across, including the Spa, Turkish Bath, Breaksfast area, Orient express era furniture and decorations. Like a step back in time. Lovely staff too! Would definitely come back again!

There is spa name spa soul there is indoor pool… a cute and classic one… have massage and traditional massages. Have asuan therapist as well. Its a good one try it.

A must see historical hotel in Istanbul. Agatha Christie (writer of Orient Express) and Ataturk stayed in this hotel. First floor open to public. Nice pastry shop is located on the entrance floor.

Old Hotel. Does not meet the standards of 5 stars.

Pera Palace was the first hotel in Istanbul with hot running water, air con and the first elevator. It is also where Agatha Christie may have written Murder in the Orient Express and certainly where Ataturk planned his secret meetings to overthrow the Ottoman Empire. Today, the hotel may well have been overtaken in creature comfort by many other 5 star hotels but is still a fabulous stay for one — two days. Many pictures were taken in the hotel during my stay and I dined at the lobby Saloon restaurant. The food is plesant and reasonably priced. The Saloon unfortunately is the only choice offered for dinner for now when Agatha Restaurant is closed for renovation. There is a private museum within the hotel compound with some belongings of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. Like other hotels in Istanbul, service is excellent. In all, excellent for unique experiences but will not suit the business travellers.

Very good an antique hotel, keep the historic building, the room is clean and simple, the hotel manager is warm and polite, the location is not far from Taksin Square, almost out of the door through an alley can start shopping!

Very nice hotel. More In the 19th century… Friendly staff. And convenient location… Large and comfortable beds and soft pillows… But a small spa salon. And a gym… But it all does not darken the rest… One of the best 5 x hotels in Istanbul…

We were received as kings. This hotel is a lift in time but with a modern comfort. The staff are attentive to the reception as well as to the floors. We were made to visit the Ataturk Suite, climb in the historic elevator. Our room with a view was very nice. We had an amazing time at this hotel.

Always magical… This hotel has an identity that you can easily feel… It is always great to sit in Kubbeli Salon that covered with six domes. Patisserie is always charming and Orient Bar is the most romantic bar in the city with its history and soft lights of red…

Beautifuly renovated hotel from the past when people used it as a sanctuary from the bustling city. Choose a room at top of the building with a spectacular view of the Golden Horn. Perfect for sundowners. Bonus: very professional staff.

This is my first visit to Istanbul, and Pera palace hotel was my first place to stay in during my vacation time and my trip.
It's wonderful amazing place to stay in with there good location in Taxim Istanbul and the golden horn. And excellent customer service how they take care of the visitors from different country. And how they are very clean professional services. They are wonderful staff and amazing service for everything.
If I got any chances to go back again to this beautiful country Turkey Istanbul I will stay again with this wonderful place. And I recommended for any one to visit this beautiful City.

Colleagues who visit Istanbul always stay here and we went for drinks. Prices are consistent with a nice hotel, but steeper than local places. Cocktails were excellent and came with some very tasty nuts. Atmosphere was very plush and service was great.

Beautifully restored hotel, but the location on Google maps is not correct. The marker on the map is at the stadium across the street and up the hill from the hotel.

Yesterday, after walking back into the room and noticed a nice change. Slippers have already waited near the bed near my points lay special napkin (so about me anywhere yet didn't care), but the water has moved on the nightstand beside the bed.
No words, this is the best hotel in my life.

For nostalgic. Many will prefer hotels in the Bosporus, but this has retained all of its character.
