She was pleasant & helpful as always & I would definitely be requesting her from now on whenever I visit. She should be rewarded for her great hospitality as she really made up for the bad birthday experience…

Absolutely Amazing! This hotel is a resort, it is beautiful and has the most helpful and wonderful staff. Our experience for 6 days exceeded our expectations so much that we didn’t want to go home. The people at the Hyatt are the best! Love it and will definitely be back.

Despite being super busy our server Miss Kim was EXCELLENT. Food was great and portion sizes were awesome. However the cocktails could have used a bit more alcohol (it was basically juice). Overall it was a great experience!

Decided to ring in the new year with my fiance. Everything was smooth and perfect. Their Customer service from check in, the front desk person (Brian. Very friendly), to departure and everyone in between made the stay unforgettable. The rooms were clean and spacious, the view was breathtaking, room service was prompt. I recently saw a post on which Hyatt Trinidad don’t consider pharmacist frontline workers in this covid — 19 fight. I am so disappointed that a multi international hotel chain can disregard a vital part of this team in covid — 19. I am a hospital pharmacist.

Five stars goes to you Hyatt Regency Trinidad ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ you have really outdone yourself with the Ibis package I would recommend it to everyone, Thank you for having us and making our honeymoon so special we really couldn't have asked for a better experience, huge thanks goes to Angelique she is such sweetheart and she was very accommodating from checking up on us to ensuring that everything was to our liking, to dining at the restaurants, making mojitos as well as our sushi-making class it was phenomenal and my husband and I really look forward to visiting soon again.

Great food! Good service and friendly staff. There is traffic on mornings and on evenings to get to the hotel (due to the hotel being in Port of Spain) and on the main road. On mornings there are a lot of mosquitos at the sea side area, but the view is great.

I thought it was great, I'm not sure if it's a five star hotel just yet, however the staff tries. I would say it's clean and feels very secure and everyone is social. Some of the staff like Ravi, and Nyola were great. The pool to me is probably like the least enjoyable thing, yes it's an infinity pool but for a hotel that size with a considerable amount of guest can't share that back yard size pool. Possibly having another pool on one of the other floors in the future. That will be ideal. A suggestion, introduce a daycare and charge in USD not for small babies but for these kids.

A great hotel in a not so great location. Located on the waterfront in Port of Spain it is a very luxurious hotel with great amenities. The rooms are very comfortable with amazing showers with a waterfall type shower head and a separate commode for the toilet. The pool area is quite small offering an infinity pool over looking the waterfront. On weekends the pool are is used mostly by locals and it is quite loud with many children which was definitely a detracting for this pool. The bottom floor offers a very expansive outdoor patio with lots of comfortable seating. This area is much more relaxing than the pool. Unfortunately, the waterfront offers no beach and it’s proximity to the Ferry Terminal makes it location less than desirable. You will see many large ship anchored out in the bay quite close to the hotel. The breakfast buffet is on par with most hotels in this category. Early before 0800 on weekends is best time to go or risk major crowds. Food at the pool bar is quite good. My recommendation for this restaurant is the Infinity burger. Staff are friendly, however could be much better considering this is a high end Hotel. The pictures are taken from patio were I wrote this review. Excellent gym.

Service is always good. From the complimentary drinks on arrival to the service at the bistro and the poolside, I enjoy every visit. Breakfast can get mundane, but enjoyable and good. Staff is accomodating and always polite. Overall great experience.

5 Star for sure. This is by a long shot the best hotel in Trinidad. It is extremely modern, architectural and general feeling, especially when compared to their competitors. The staff are always on call and they are very accommodating. One time we stayed and the Ac was giving trouble. When we complained they sent someone to fix it and it still wasn't 100%. We complained again and they moved us to another room plus gave us a free night. Excellent service. Great breakfast, pool and very clean.

Great location. Right at the port. Found out the carpet in my room had dried urine on it. I was given a new room but nothing more was done in terms of guest recovery. Never asked how my stay could be made better. Staff are not consistent in their friendliness and greetings.

Always a great place to stay, staff very welcoming and hospitable. I had a situation where I went to Tobago for a couple days not knowing the boat gets serviced on Wednesday. I was supposed to check in at Hyatt on Wednesday which I most likely would have lost my reservation because I would arrive on Thursday. The staff worked with me as best as they could and was able to provide me with a room that Thursday until I flew back to New York. Unlike Hilton that charges $15 us per hr for late check out, the staff at the Hyatt has provided with late check out free of charge on many occasions. I would like to thank the manager and staff for their hospitality and I'll definitely be back for another wonderful stay at the Hyatt.

Hyatt for dining is great. It is located on the waterfront in Port of Spain. Food is of great standards. Staff may need a little more training. There are outdoor and indoor dining for your preference.

Nice hotel close to the commercial district; my business associates and I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. The rooms are refurbished and modern and the conference spaces are excellent. There is a nasty woman called Nikeisha at front desk who ruins the check-in / check-out experience and definitely "chooses" which guests she will be polite to: note, she really is as rude and unhelpful as she looks so avoid her if you want to enjoy your time there but other than that, most staff are friendly but they could definitely learn about service from some of the more superior Hyatt franchises around the world. Service in the Caribbean, in general, is poor and requires far more training to catch up with other parts of the world. The hotel have a very good sushi bar, a lively lobby bar and a gorgeous infinity pool with beautiful views and a nice vibe. There is a pool bar where food and drinks are also served. Housekeeping is a mess, they will ring incessantly if you have a Privacy sign on your door, which sort of defeats the purpose of needing privacy! Sort it out Hyatt! Housekeeping service really depends on who does your room, some are shocking and others are very good so training standards must improve and be more consistent. Port of Spain does not have a massive choice of hotels so the hotel is always packed and busy.

Used to be a great hotel and for the most part, it still is. But their housekeeping is very hit and miss. We have had our room cleaned and towels — with stains on them — were left in the bathroom on several occasions. We travel all over the world and are frequent guests at some of the world's best hotels and I have never, ever experienced fresh towels with stains or brown / yellow marks on them and this happened more than once during our stay at this Hyatt, despite complaints. Also, some days the room would be cleaned properly and other days not. Some days surfaces would be cleaned and other days we would come back to find coffee cup stains still there. There was horrible mould and brown stains on the lamp cushioning next to our settee that was hidden from view. It was all very inconsistent and I always felt nervous as to what we would come back to find. It made an otherwise enjoyable stay, a really unpleasant and disappointing one because if housekeeping are leaving stained towels in rooms and not cleaning properly, imagine the uncleanliness that was not obvious to the naked eye. On the positive side, the fitness center and spa are new, clean, tidy and offer a good array of equipment and services. The hotel's cafe does some wonderful coffees, hot chocolates and pastries. The lobby is also still very beautiful and the lifts and hallways are always well maintained and contemporary.

Amazing place. I compare all the hotels I'm staying at with this one. It's clean, cozy, beautiful. I love it. The personnel are nice, it's my home away from home. Absolutely amazing! The pool is fantastic too! Grand hotel, big meeting rooms. For a girl who grew up in the country this felt like being royal. Thumbs up!

It lives up to the brand. I am usually here quite often at conferences for work. I have also stayed a few weekends here and I was not disappointed. It was past the 18 floor so the city and sea views were amazing. The breakfast was complimentary with our stay… and it was a weekend I totally enjoyed. When I am for business I am usually quite busy but I must say the staff for breaks are quite efficient and eating lunch is a must… I suggest if you plan a week long conference switch up the menu for a truly wonderful experience.

First time staying at the Hyatt and was very impressed. Very clean and nice staff. Views are incredible. Food was great too. A little on the pricey side. But you get what you pay for. The happy hour drinks and apps were great Only thing I didn't like were the glass showers in the middle of the room and swinging glass door for the toilet. Absolutely no privacy in a double bed room. It was the running joke for the night but we well enjoyed ourselves. Stayed only for one night to end a week long birthday celebration. Will definitely return and this time use the pool.

I am extremely disappointed by your telephone operators especially the one who is on duty at this time… I have been trying to reach the restaurant for the past hour and a half to make a reservation for two for brunch on Monday and the operator kept transferring me even though I told her no one was answering at the other end. I left a voicemail which is yet to be responded to and when I called back one last time and told her to not transfer me but take a message she promptly did the opposite and transferred my call to the restaurant which still hasn't answered the phone… I am extremely disappointed in the typical bad service given by Trinis and I was hoping to get better treatment from Hyatt…

Wow! I must say I'm amazed by the level of professionalism I experienced here. The waiting area is relatively small but the staff there were very nice and made sure I was comfortable. I also enjoyed the room. It was clean and the beds were well made and comfortable. My only complaint was there was so indication of how much is charged when I use the phone provided and it was slightly more expensive than I expected.

The best place to stay in Port of Spain. Staff are amazing and cater to everything you could want, need and more! I really enjoy staying here during carnival season. The indoor sushi bar is great, Hugh quality, fresh and made to order in front of you. The gym is one of the better hotel gyms I've used with cardio machines, weight machines and free weights. The infinity pool is lovely to relax by.

I was a friend of a guest. Went poolside. Fun vibe. Live DJ for as long as the cruise ship was there then it all changed. The pop up market ended. Music stopped. A lot of the staff vanished. Then it was just a hotel pool. Food was expensive and ordinary.

Comfortable beds. No complaints about the service. The sunday brunch is pretty decent and gives a variety of dishes albeit not very breakfasty type stuff. The sushi restaurant is amazing. If you like/love sushi, try them. Doubt you'll be disappointed.

I enjoy every minute of it. But my rate was wrong when I made my reservation I was told one rate and when I reach there the young lady told me something way different I even show her the email with the rate I have. Telling me that's incorrect. Didn't want to spoil my time so I paid it. But next I not taking that one rate is one rate don't tell me about US rate does go up and down. That's not right. But other than that I had a wonderful time. Staff everyone else was very friendly.

This is the absolute best hotel in Trinidad. I got stuck there on business due to severe weather in the north east. The front desk staff is extremely nice even when you're checking in at 1 am. I cannot say that I have stayed in a nicer place in the Caribbean. It has a wonderful infinity pool on the fourth floor with a gorgeous view of the ocean, a wonderful gym with extremely new equipment and free weights its really an amazing hotel gym. The Hyatt Regency Trinidad is the place to stay for business and/pleasure!

I surprised my mom with a night here for her 60th birthday. I booked the room with city views that included breakfast. I also booked a spa treatment for my mom and we ate dinner at the waterfront restaurant. First of all the staff are extremely courteous and accommodating. I didn’t walk with my passport and they still checked us in using my US ID. From the moment we got there till we left we kept getting complimentary this and that. Parking was complimentary as a guest. At dinner our servers were amazing and we got sorrel as a complimentary drink with our meal which tasted divine. We also got complimentary bread and butter to take back with us to the room. For breakfast even though we did not stick to the buffet options, our entire meal was included in the breakfast package. Normally other hotels charge additional for non-buffet items. Once again the meal was sumptuous. I ordered flowers (white lilies) for my mom and they not only had them delivered within an hour of placing the order but they also gave me a 50% discount. The room was spacious and very clean and the city view was amazing at night. They do not offer turn down service upon request (the room is cleaned once every day) but with all the complimentary services I hardly missed this. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone if ever you visit Trinidad and I would definitely come back.

Great clean hotel with friend helpful staff. The sushi restaurant is fantastic and the pool on the 4th floor is a great place to chill out. Be sure to check out the beaches to. They are amazing.

A great hotel! Very comfortable, good sized rooms and an excellent lobby with vaulted ceilings. The outside bar area overlooks the sea and has live music most nights. Most of all though the staff are extremely customer focused and are excellent, enhancing the experience! My favourite business hotel in the Caribbean. Good for a short leisure break too!

Goodmorning This message is to let you know how dissafisfied I am with the level of customer service I have experienced this morning. I have made 5 phonecalls in the span of 1 hour, left 2 voice messages, been hung up on twice and not answered twice. All in an attempt to make reservations for breakfast tomorrow morning (Sunday 17 December, 2017) for 3 persons.
Now, I was advised by one of your operators that the hotel does not usually book external guests for breakfast, I explained to her that it is my birthday tomorrow and she said that I can still try. This is not the usual customer service I am accustomed to at the Hyatt, having stayed there and dined there (separately) multiple times. Better needs to be done.

Excellent upscale waterfront ambience with a fluid but balanced mixture of business and leisure, international influence and local culture. Sumptuous breakfast buffet, brunch and dinner choices. Superb service.

Best hotel in Trinidad and Tobago. The customer service here is superb. All staff are welcoming and ready to serve you with a smile. The food is also quite Good, though pricey.

The hotel was beautiful, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The only negative was the bathroom situation in the rooms. There is no privacy. The sink area is completely open and the shower/toilet are glass with only a strategically placed frosted section and poorly placed mirrors that can lead to people accidentally seeing more than they bargained for. It was extremely awkward.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful employees. The prices for food and beverages were on the high side, but good. The hotel is on the water in middle of the central business district, but there is not much else to do from a nightlife or entertainment standpoint in the area around the hotel.

The hotel is awesome top of the line and high class. The service was second to none. My stay there was a very pleasant one. I will recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel stay. Staff was helpful and responsive. We were offered towels and given bottled water for our trip to Maracas Beach. The placement of the shower was in the center of our room with frosted glass walls. This may be awkward for some from a privacy standpoint depending on I who they're sharing the room with. The restroom is separate but also has a frosted privacy glass door. The frosted glass doesn't extend all the way to the floor. Food was great. There's a slight wait during the most popular times. The views are great. Ask for an ocean view room for views of the Gulf of Paria. Most inward facing rooms provide a view of the city that include the Queen's Park Savannah. We had access to the Regency Club Lounge. It offered complimentary desserts, snacks water throughout the day and breakfast (eggs, toast, meat, etc. ). Great experience overall.

Outdoor room furniture (balcony rooms) and pool furniture needs upgrading. Front desk seems to give inaccurate info at times. Comfortable rooms and good food for a stay. Excellent spa treatments (from what I've heard) — spa gift packages are nice.

My stay here is okay. I was expecting better customer service and a great room. My room has issue, the door sticks so I have to push very hard to open. As well as the phone doesn't work well. I can't make calls to in room services. One day I didn't get any room service. However the door men are very much polite and always willing to open the door. The laundry room guy Damian was pleasent.

Regular international visitor since 5 years, until today very statisfied. Friendly staff, good food, clean gym and room. Location could not be better as you are directly at the main road, which for me as a business person makes it an ease to communted rather in POS or else inside the country. I stay here roughly 1 week each month.

My family and I stayed this weekend and I was not impressed, the room was Dusty and had a smell the bed had bed mites that had my kids skin itching and caused bumps all over there skin when we complained they said they prob didn't change the sheets before we checked in I had to take my kids to the health center after because they couldn't stop itching I will not be staying there again. Also they need to do something about the vagrants because there was one stripping rite outside the hotel as we walked out I had to take the kid back inside terrible sight.

Recently stayed here over spring break, it was my first time visiting T&T. The hotel was very nice, clean, organized and modern. Breakfast by the water was fantastic and relaxing. We also did a couples massage and it was well worth the money. Miss it already!

There are very few hotel experiences worth sharing as traveling to new destinations is very common now; however, this cannot be said for the experience I had at this hotel resort. Their 5 star rating is deserved and well worth the experience of having while traveling to Trinidad for business or pleasure. Their attention to the customer rivaled any other resort experience I have had on land, air or sea. My respect and admiration are for the various members of the staff who grew up or have lived on the island for an extended period of time. If you are looking for the best resort experience from any Hyatt property or destination in Trinidad, this is the best option.

Great. Friendly staff, wonderful view. Nice ambience. Perfect for two days. The rooms are simple but effective, bed wasn't very firm but 5 star due to staff friendliness and courtesy.

The attendants at the door, the security staff, workers at the front desk, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The live entertainment was a plus at the cafe. Lovely ambience at night.

I stayed there this Friday and check out today… I went there for my honeymoon and taught it would have been great and it wasn't wat I expected… The room had roaches… The face basin sink was leaking… The little fridge was not working… Then for breakfast in bed, we got spoil milk and there just came and took it and never ask if we would like to get back milk for tea and coffee… I think u all need to check ur rooms before making bookings… Was my word honeymoon and my wife was really disappointed…

A wonderful place just to get away from everything. The food and drink selections are many and they all taste sublime — good stuff. The wait staff are all top-notch :).

Went with a few friends for MLK weekend and had an amazing experience. The island, the hotel and staff, the infinity pool, the food, the people. Amazing! Probably the best pool in the surrounding area. We had a Caribbean Burger poolside with a rum punch that was VERY good as was the Nan and Curry Shrimp at the Waterfront restaurant for dinner. The staff does an excellent job at being friendly, helpful and accommodating. I am looking forward to making another trip to T&T and plan on staying here again.

Such a beautiful place to relax and get away from the children in the house. As long u get a sweet by the water front u will fell awesome. For my 14 birthday this year I am going to ask to come here at the Hyatt hotel the best hotel in Trinidad And Tobago.

Always good food. And large selection to choose from. Also a very nice spread for breakfast buffet! Waitresses are also friendly and easy to talk to. Pepper sauce very tasty. Not tooo hot! hats off to Chef Seegobin.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever been to. The service here is unbelievable. I've never experienced hospitality like it. The wife and I will be back.

The experience at the Hyatt Regency is one that must be experienced. The staff their is by far one of the best trained staff I have encountered. The food is superb and the view is just magnificent. Upon entering a sense of peace and tranquility overcomes the visitor and the service makes one feel needed and refreshed. All in all the experience was great and I would recommend the Hyatt to all.
