Fun for kids, reasonable price drink. We got nice clean towel. Staffs were hospitality. It was a great day for us. Thank you Shiva.

Had our little girl’s birthday party here yesterday and it was amazing! Jane and her team could not do enough for us and because of them and their efforts my daughter, her friends and their parents all had an amazing day! Thanks so much Jane & team!

Shiva Samui have taken our money that we paid up front in good faith. Due to covid we had to cancel as the country was closed and so was ours and they flatly refuse to give us any money back. Most travel companies are refunding or allowing to change dates foc. NOT shiva Samui, they’ve decided to keep all our money for themselves. Eventually they said we could come back in December at another $1000 expense to us and then never replied to my emails about that as we still couldn’t go because Thailand was still closed.

Great place good music from the 80s cozy family atmosphere but without the daycare effect!

Keep over $3500 dollars of our money! Would not allow us to defer our booking. Kept the lot! So disappointing when you could have transferred our booking like many other resorts did and we would have still come and stayed later and spent money! No way now.

No service… go get a drink from the bar and they try to charge service… also 300 baht for 2 beers Haha… keep dreaming Shiva samui. Probably why you are not busy.

I can’t recommend the Shiva Samui enough. I have just returned from an amazing stay with all my family and friends. We all had a great time and it’s thanks to the friendliness of the staff and the quality of accommodation. I was very lucky to get married on the beach at the Shiva which was fantastic and so beautiful. Thank you so much.

I went to Shamul about 6 years ago my nephew got married there on the. Beach the beach was out of this world the food was gorgeous the apartment we stayed in it was beautiful we had our on swimming pool but when we got there it rained every day while we were there never got to see much the roads were flooded I would of like to see a bit more of Samui but I enjoyed what I saw fantastic.

Here with my family now and this place has certainly delivered what was promised! Stunning villas, gorgeous beach and fantastic staff! Love it will certainly be back!

Spent an afternoon here on their buffet Saturday!
Nice vibes as I was with family and friends who live here. The location is amazing with the long wonderful shallow warm waters. The attention from staff was great but I know about music and it was a bit paltry at times! Needs a better DJ or two The food on the buffet was sub-standard! Beef burgers were under cooked?

This place literally is paradise! The long sandy beaches and clear warm sea form a spectacular back drop to the wonderfully relaxing Beach Club.
The food is fantastic and the service is friendly and the whole place has a warm and welcoming ambience with a large pool and plenty of activities for the kids.
We were lucky enough to stay in a luxury air conditioned villa with its own pool and satellite TV & only a short walk along the beach to the Beach Club. There is a spa and several classes such as yoga and salsa classes to keep the adults amused and there is some great evening entertainment laid on by the host and resident DJ — Phil. If you’re looking for a great value, fun filled luxury family holiday then I can definitely recommend Shiva Samui — с Sati Dent.

Pictures are very deceptive. YES even I fell into the trap of the edited pics shown on internet. Yes, it's a dead see facing name sake resort. Please note, the sea is dead, dirty and water colour is neither blue nor green. The property is not maintained well and is in a deserted location of koh Samui. The cab will take 700-800 THB one side just to take you to city centre. Extremely difficult to reach back to this property at night. They have a cash crunch situation and has made all efforts to cut all costs, which leads to degraded service to the guests. There is very few staff and what is the biggest shock is there is no staff in the property after 10 pm. Yes this means NO security as well. Its an open beach area and many properties are close by. High probability of burglary. Wen we came at 10:30 at night after dinner, it was dark and we had to walk to reach our room. 4 dogs started barking at us and there was no staff to save us, somehow we managed to reach our room. The Reception lady is very very rude. They are racist and doesn't talk with respect or politeness. They will claim that they offer a lot of inhouse sports activities, but don't fall prey… They will give excuses like concerned staff did not came or weather is not supportive. I fell prey to this property, and am taking efforts to give my reviews just to ensure more travellers do not fall prey to this. AVOID this property guys.

Stayed here for a week in a group. We had a great time. There always seemed to be events on in the afternoon, beach parties, fire shows, dancing lessons etc. The food and drinks are good but won't blow your socks off. The public area was very well kept, the private Villa was spacious and well equipped even if we did have a couple of power outages. Staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Our family of 5 just had a wonderful 5 days at Shiva. We wish it could have been longer!. Beautiful spacious villas with plunge pools, soft white powder sand beach, kayaking & paddle boarding and yoga, all complimentary. Beanbags and loungers, shaded cabanas, 2 very friendly resident dogs who the kids loved to pet each day. My family are all gluten free and vegetarian which I am always concerned about when trying a new place but the staff were incredibly helpful and despite bringing a bunch of our own food to cook in the villa we usually ate on the beach, ordering from the restaurant for every meal. Food and drinks were delicious & not overpriced. Evenings consisted of relaxing around the pool & restaurant area, Phil was entertaining us all with his good music vibes, Jane was face & body painting and teaching us all various dances, in addition to a wonderful complimentary salsa lesson on the Tuesday night. We have spent numerous beach vacations in Thailand and this one definitely ticks all the boxes as a wonderful family resort. There were a couple of maintenance issues, which were all resolved promptly, and all were pretty common issues when living & staying in the tropics. My kids already begging us to plan our next vacation there, and we will definitely return. My only reluctance to give this a 5 star review is that once you discover this hidden gem you will always want to return, and we might not then get reservations for our next trip back.

There is Salsa party every Tuesday in Beach bar. Nice music, free lesson and open air. Before party we had dinner there. Perfect Italian buffet! Everything is fresh and tasty.

Friendly staff (+ dogs :-) ), nice sea view (not really suitable for swimming though due to low tide), good food & cocktails and nice clean villas with private pool (each small pool only shared between two villas). Massage was awesome as well as the mountain bike tour we did with the guide from Shiva Samui.

Definitely one of my favorite places in Samui. Away from traffic, white beach, perfect music selection. The best place to relax, play a volleyball or just take a walk in shallow sea. Very friendly staff. A must visit place for all positive people.

We have just finished a stay at baan sarika house which is supposed to be " luxurious accommodation". I agree that the location of the house is spectacular, however the facilities, the finishing touches, and general feel about the place is not " luxurious". A lot of the facilities were not operational such as the steam room, in pool jacuzzi, lighting, pool lights and air con was poor. The villa did not, in my opinion, justify the price The general appearance of the the resort is in need of some TLC. That being said we did have a fantastic time for the 5 days we were there and the staff were helpful and friendly. This place has the potential to be 5* but there needs to be some work and improvements made.

Beautiful serene and realxing with great location beach views and excellent service. Highly recommend to check out even for a drink and dip in the pool.

Driving around the beautiful hills on Koh Samui and disturbing to see illegal trash dumping by this luxury hotel Shiva Samui (Samui Beach Village). Don't stay here! They have a responsibility to the environment, community and mother nature. Sad such a luxury resort can do this.

Spend Xmas and New year here and we absolutely loved it. Villa awesome, beach was beautiful, not crowded. Beach bar and restaurant was great. Staff are awesome especially Lek and Lay. Will DEFINITELY be going back.

From the start the staff were so incredibly helpful. Simon who helped make the booking made sure we received all of our important features. Beachfront villa, luxury, quiet, great food and close to the village of Lamai beach. Then we met Anne who made us feel so special and accommodated all of our needs. Then there was breakfast, so good. We have just returned from what I would describe as the best Thai massage I have ever had and I have had many.

Jayne and Phil run the most friendly resort that I have ever been too. The staff are absolutely amazing and the level of service is faultless. 2 staff members in particular, Ley and Lek constantly went above and beyond and helped make our holiday really special. We stayed at Shiva Samui in Baan Astasia for Christmas and New Year 2015 and the celebrations for both were great, especially NYE, thanks so much Shiva, we will be back!

I think it all comes down to expectations and experiences. For myself and my family, we found the actual villa we stayed in Baan Buaa to be 4.5 stars. It was an terrific villa only 25 yards from the beach. Where could this place improve: * Service — it takes around 45 minutes to get your order in the restaurant, and there will likely be some thing incorrect in the order. I ask for coffee at breakfast and it takes 15 minutes to get it. * Internet — spotty access all over the resort. * Yes doesn't mean yes — If you ask for something, people have a hard time saying no, so you hear yes. Thus, your expectations are set for a good experience, but you are let down. * Food — Highly recommend the Thai dishes. The other food is average. There's a lot of things on the menu that don't exist, e. G. We had mango & sticky rice the first few days but then we could never get it again. Tried to order surf/turf another night and they didn't have steak. Recommend this place for multi-generational trips where everyone can get together at a casual/leisurely pace.
