Star Hostel Patong Hostel

Stayed in May 2018. The room and bathroom are spacious (Hot and cold shower). There is a mini fridge inside the room which is good. Location is about 25 minutes walk from jungceylon mall and 15 minutes walk from the beach. There are plenty other budget hotel closer to the mall. While napping got bitten by bed bugs on my arms and face. And killed 5 bed bugs. When we told the night receptionist, she changed our room and luckily there was no bed bug… couldn't imagine how to sleep at night when you can see bed bugs crawling on your pillow during daytime. Must deposit 1000 bath upon arrival which was refundable. Be careful with Family Mart in front of the hotel. The staff add grocery we didnt buy to the bill. When we checked and asked the staff what that for. The staff immediately said sorry and refunded the money. Always checked the total items you bought.

Very good price, nice room but air-conditional have to check because it's working so bad. The hotel position not close the center, but it nearly a local night market, you can looking for food in this market. I quiet disappoint about hotel's swimming pool, so tiny. And the hotel staff not good communicate, some time I said and she dont under stand what I said.

I went there 2 weeks ago hoping for a 3 week pleasant stay in thailand. The hotel Advertises tea and coffee in rooms. None. Beds wernt changed in almost a week. Bed full of bugs and wen asked 2 spray room they did it with air freshener. Very few nice staff members the rest ignorant. Pool very small. Definitely wouldn't reccommend. It's disgusting. We moved out immediately when we found out our bites wer caused by bugs and not mosquitoes. Completely ruined the first week of our holiday. I'm just giving 1 star because it won't let me post review without it. Not worth 1 star.

The hotel is very dirty and the hotel management is not decent. The room was clean. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very… We booked 3 nights through Agodu, but stayed one night. The hotel did not return money to us, said that only through Agodu. Transliterations, in turn, did not defend the interests of clients (i. E. Us) referring to the fact that the hotel they told us that the room was provided, but we did not want. In general, we did not see the money, but found a place much cleaner and cheaper. Who appreciate cleanliness and comfort you obviously not here.

Nice rooms in a seitenstr. So no traffic noise. Good service. 24 reception.

All the photos on booking sites look beautiful but… After arriving at this place we have been shocked how dirty it is, dust on a shelf, dirty walls, bed linen with blood marks, AC not working and all the rest of the problems. During Checkin time receptionist and site owner didn't inform us about construction on a site and very loud noise until we confronted them after we hear constant drilling. They tried to lie us that it will stop soon. They have double charged us, and it took time to get our money back from third party booking site because Star Hotel Patong used that system to charge money despite us paying in cash at a glance and getting a refund within 15 minutes. Luckily we had a case to prove about wrongdoing. There is plenty of other places you can stay, and if possible I would recommend not to book here.

Beware of the Towel Scam! Ask them to remove all the towels in the room. You can also setup a secret camera to inspect no one came into your room. However if they entered the room with a stained towel immediately report it to the police. These scams are very common and you will pay 300 bhat for each stain made. You can walk away with so much paid!

This a a great hotel! Rooms are very clean and up to "western standards". Staff is friendly. Can rent Motor bikes in front of the Family Mart which is 100ft away. The pool is nice but the pool deck is a little rough. TV has an English movie channel. We have stayed in the area before, just far enough away from bangla road yet close enough to walk. The beach isn't far either. Maybe 10 minute walk.

Room was ok, very poor Wi-Fi. Rooftop pool was nice :)

Its economically good to meet your budget, beaches r at walkable, market is located within 100m, all kind of restaurant r located with 20m.
