Review of Secret Cliff Villa 3*

Nightmare hotel! do not stay here. Absolute rip off. So many issues here. If you want your holiday ruined then book at Secret Cliff Villa. We booked the Deluxe Villa with Sunset view but were unaware that we needed to be driven back and forth up a very steep hill in a golf cart or rusty old truck from our room to reception, the pool, dining area basically the main areas every single time. So this made it so inconvenient to get to our “ Deluxe Villa”. The Villa had a nice view but no shower! No shower! You have to sit down to shower because the shower cord is a metre long and cannot be hooked on the wall. The bathroom was a bit dirty and the bedroom begins to smell of toilet or sewage if you don’t have door and balcony window open. This also means you can’t securely lock your door while you’re sleeping. Not good! I couldn’t sleep from the smell. Next problem: in the middle of the night the power is turned off. So no air conditioning, no lights to find the toilet, no charging phones and no internet. Nightmare. The breakfast was average at best with fruit left out for flies to crawl on and cold eggs. The pool area was terrible. There are meant to be two pools but there was only one and the other under construction. The one and only small pool has broken tiles everywhere (dangerous for children), gross mould and the lounge chairs were stained and dirty and umbrellas the same. We booked for two weeks but left after two days because we didn’t want the rest of our stay in Phuket ruined by this subpar hotel. On top of all that the staff were rude and not very friendly. When we tried to get a refund they refused so we had to complain to Agoda.
