Absolutely awful, the pictures are all a lie and photoshopped. It is a bunch of wooden huts in a garbage filled, smelly plot of land which is really difficult to get to. I paid to stay in a luxury bungalow for two nights but it is actually just a hut with corrugated iron roof. You pay a fortune more for this 'bungalow' cause it has aircon. There any never any 'staff' around and the building (if you can call it that) is not sealed so there are insects everywhere, all in my bed. The bathroom was a concrete block with a corrugated iron roof that looked like a torture chamber and had cockroaches in there the size of my hand. It was crawling with insects so I had to relieve myself in a bush outside and no showering for me. The pool is NOT like the picture and is filthy and deserted. My room was filthy and had condom wrappers down the back of the bed If you swam in there you'd be sure to catch something. The place stunk to high heavens of filth and rotting food. There was no proper reception just a shack where there was never any staff. There were ditches with polluted water and rubbish which would be dangerous for children to go near. The bar was overpriced and again just a shack. It is pitch black at night with insects everywhere and animals crawling over the corrugated iron roof of the 'bungalow'. It is appaling and the prices they charge are absolutely criminal for the rooms. I stayed one night because I arrived so late and the next day I ran for my life!

My partner and I stayed at Kamala Bungalows for one week before we had to head north, and have never felt more welcome in Thailand. The room and grounds were spacious, beautiful and always clean. Unfortunately, we both have terrible memories for Thai names, but the lovely lady behind the bar (who spoke english exceptionally well) helped us at every turn to make our stay cosy and as enjoyable as possible, even saving us almost half the cost of getting to our bus in Phuket by taxi. Everybody there was very welcoming and the memories we have from there will always make us smile. Thank you!
