Amazing relaxing I loved the location! Such amazing friendly service the restaurant is really good. Breakfast excellent.
The property very clean, atmosphere was absolutely stunning. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Staff at the restaurants is very good. Great quite beach crystal clear water, I recommend to friends and family.

Awesome place I recommend to any one how want something a little practice but at the same time close enough to a good bar and food.

While it was a lovely stay over all, I do have a few complaints. The geyser only had to modes — really cold or scalding hot. A cat (who lives in Mama) sctrached my friend and she had to get rabies shots. The sundeck had no umberella for people who didn't want to get a tan. While the breakfast was good, there wasn't much variety and never was any ketchup available. The staff however was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel, placed in a very good location, nice beach in front of the hotel, they provide the customers with deckchairs just in the beach. The breakfast has been the best we've had in thailand, so many things and tasty. Staff is really helpful and nice and always smiling. I'd love to come back!

If I were to go back on Phi Phi Island I would definitely stay here! Small residence cozy, very familiar and located in an area of the island very reserved But in the meantime a few steps from the center but away from the hustle of the night beach bars. Breakfast is plentiful and good, private deckchairs facing the sea, small Jacuzzi pool and well tended garden. Courteous and present staff for any eventuancy.

The hotel is nice. The location is very good, there is a nice beach in front of it, and it's a 10 minutes walk from the pier. The breakfast is very good. The staff is nice. The bedroom is comfortable, the AC is fine. The bathroom is terrible. The shower is horrible, when you turn on the shower there is a bad smell, there is no window to close, so the bathroom is always open for mosquitoes and bugs. The hotel is quite nice, but they really need to do something about the bathrooms.

Excellent structure, perfectly integrated with nature. Pity The view on the marina now stormed by boats and barges of all kinds.

This is a comfortable hotel with a private beach area at the door, location away from the noisy main street, walk from the pier to the hotel for about 10-15 minutes, the hotel is very quiet, the staff is very friendly and courteous, compared to the main street of the quality of accommodation, I prefer to live in this quiet and laid-back hotel, because the island is not so much resources, The water pressure is a little small, but the basic equipment is available, guests can enjoy 10% of the beach massage discounts, the meal is good, it is recommended.

Beautiful place! lovely sunset in this part of the phi phi beach! kindful staff! some issues with bathroom but immediately solved.

Nice resort in a peaceful beach. Good views and close to turistc places. 5 m before the resort you could take anything you need to visit Maya bay, monkey beach or any place you want.

Nice rooms with sea view, big enough and very clean. Staff was frienly, very good breakfast and location. The beach was ok, they had lounge chairs right in front of the hotel. The sand wasn't the finest but ok. One minus is that it faces the port and during the day there were a lot of boats making noise. But during the night it was quiet as it is away from the bustle center of the island. Also a bit too pricy for Thailand.

Be prepared to find paradise lost and phi phi has lost it big time! If it wasn’t for this Mama beach resort we’d have left on the next boat! Thankfully Mama beach is at the far end of the beach so the noise of the partying young people is far enough away not to bother you.
Fantastic accommodation, wonderful restaurant with the friendliest of staff are the highlights. The breakfast was great too and the lady who does the Thai massage is the best we’ve ever had (and we’ve been to many) It’s worth a visit to Phi Phi even if just to see how it’s been destroyed then if you don’t leave this hotel you could be anywhere surrounded by all that’s good of Thailand.

Reviewing this as a diner only, I did not stay at the hotel, stayed next door. However, I did eat here 5 or 6 times in 2 weeks, the food was always delicious, lots of flavor and fresh ingredients — the owners are French for goodness sakes! Friendly service, and you can choose dining directly on the beach or inside the restaurant. Bon Appetit!

Background: February 2018/1 night/in couple/€130 most:-Excellent reception and impeccable service. The team is at small care and gives us good advice for our return to Phuket.
-Breakfast is refined and vary.
-Our room was superb! Really very elegant and nickel bedding. Nice balcony.
-Close to the centre 15 minutes walk from the center but quiet.
-A small swimming pool to cool down (jenoux depth) The less:-The beach in front is not one of the best. Little background, rocks, murky water and a lot of boats.
-the bathroom which is superb is open on the outside so mosquitoes at night despite the passage of the staff with the anti mosquito product.

Bad smell in the rooms, too shabby the décor and too excessive the price. I don't recommend it!

Loved this hotel small but stylish and cute. Staff exceptional really helful arranged transport to next hotel. Including ferry and taxi. Meals were excellent and catered for my Gluten Free diet completely. Overlooked the ocean great views. I am 56 yrs old and loved it.

Nice structure not one of the many monsters that you see in these parts great breakfast nice rooms but remember to request the Reservation sea view otherwise you will miss part of the beautiful that has mama.
Great location out of the hustle and bustle of downtown.
Perfect for couples only negative note the bath towels that every day were missing and until 7pm were not available.

The location of the hotel is OK, at the edge of the main bay and therefore relatively quiet. I had booked directly and hoped to get advantages as the hotel did not have to pay commissions, but also I had to pay with credit card 2, 5% commission on top. You never actually pay, but in certain hotels in Thailand!? You should know that before! The three nights were not exactly inexpensive, but the room facilities were rather three star level. The duvets were moist, the furnishings worn out and it smelled a bit musty. The staff was partial, but mostly superficially friendly. Probably because of the constant coming — and walking. The island is simply overflowing and you no longer pay attention to individuality…

We had a very nice time here. The place is quite, in front of the beach with private sunbeds and a restaurant and bar were you can relax. The stuff is very nice and helpfull. We are definitely coming back to this hotel.

Very nice location and accommodations. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. After getting food poisoning during my stay, the staff went above and beyond to assist me and bring me back to health. I would love to stay here again.

You will find the calm, the relaxation as well as the scenery of this postcard decor and all that with a vegetation that contrasts nicely with the beach.

Nice hotel, next to the beach and with convenient walking distance to Tonsai. Breakfast and service was great, rooms ok, could use a renovation.

Fabulous place to stay the staff were absolutely wonderful we loved the place so much me and my wife travelled back from Koh Tao to Phi Phi for an additional 3 night's. Definitely plan on returning in the future.

An OK experience. Friendly staff. The room was nice, but the toilet was very cramped with very bad waterflow and smelly drainage at some points. Breakfast was OK. The size of the hotel is very small, we only saw one or two other visitors at breakfast, only approximately 5-7 4-man tables at the restaurant. The beach was nice, but it could use some parasols.

We didn't want to leave, 3 nights wasn't enough. Location, hotel and staff are perfect. Thank you so much Catalia and all yr extremely accommodating staff. Really chilled part of Phi Phi, only 10 minutes or so stroll from the pier, but after we'd strolled the alleyways and wound our way up to the Viewpoint on our first day we rarely had a need to venture as far as the pier. Restaurants and massages right on the beach. Kayak hire and Longtail boat a couple min walk away. We definitely hope to return to Mama Beach Residence.

Me & my girlfriend stayed at Mama Beach for 6 nights in April. On the first night we ate in the hotel restaurant and we were both violently ill for the entirety of our stay. My girlfriend showed no sign of improvement and had to get taken to the hospital. The hospital confirmed it was was a stomach infection caused by the food we ate. As we were checking out, the hotel showed no remorse and were not even going to offer any kind of discount until we started to moan. The manager then offered us 15% off of 1 night which was an insult, considering we was not able to have a 'holiday' due to the food they provided us. We have since been in contact with the hotel director upon returning to the UK, and to say that they do not care about us, as paying customers would be an understatement. We are appalled by the whole situation, and would strongly recommend that you do not visit this hotel.

Staff are lovely & friendly. Beautiful spot on the beach, away from the party side of the island. But if you want to enjoy the night life the island has to offer. It is only a 10 minute walk away. Great place with everything you need. Loved our stay! Thanks so much :)

Me and my husband went there for our honeymoon for two nights, the room was nice and clean. We were very impressed with their welcoming with flowers decoration on our bed. But we were so disappointed at the end with one staff at the hotel restaurant one night we wanted to sit at the restaurant near the beach all the tables were empty but she wouldn't allowed us to sit there to buy some drinks she told us to sit inside and the next morning we had breakfast the lady came with her unhappy face to serve us the breakfast. But she would greet all the white foreigners guests but except our Asian guests that what I have observed. We really like the hotel but just one staff spoiled the beautiful atmosphere. Back home we also do a business we deal with our clients with joyful heart because they're the one that supporting our business. No matter where they come from Asian tourist or European tourist they all bring you the same amount be a good host.

Inexpensive and the rooms are pretty nice. The bathrooms are weird though because it's sort of "open air". Not a big deal though if you want to run the a/c, just keep the bathroom door closed. I gave it only 3 stars because the people at the front desk do not communicate with each other at all. When we checked in here there was a Thai lady at the front desk, she was very courteous and helpful. Later that night when we went by the front desk to ask them for the Wi-Fi password (more on that later), there was a French (I think) lady working at the front desk who was a little rude because she though since we were asking for extra Wi-Fi passwords we had more people staying in out room and threatened to have security call them at night or something nonsensical like that. Out of all the places we stay in Thailand and Cambodia, this place had the most annoying Wi-Fi policy. You needed a unique password for EACH device. So I had my phone, a laptop — my friend had her phone and tablet… By default they only give you 2 slips with passwords on them when you check in, so we had to ask for 2 more. Not really a deal breaker, for the price and what you get it's hard to beat.

Hotel secluded in the Bay of tonsai, beautiful garden, modern rooms, beach under a huge rock overlooking the Bay! Book quickly, places are limited…

Very nice hotel rooms are small but beautiful French open next to the sea rock end of the island is located in the quiet.

Perfect service far from the center and quiet if no renovationsssss 20m from the room. No noise from all nightclubs. Maybe the only hotel like this on this island. Wonderful free Wi-Fi everywhere with very good bandwidth. Air conditioning not powerful enough as the bathroom is open to outside and the door is not closed fully. Yes completely open so the warm temperature is going into the room. Hot water doesn't work. Beach and landscape beautiful but underwater not clear at all (probably boats are always crossing).
