CLEANERS STOLE 20, 000 BAHT FROM ME and management didn’t care. No don’t stay here. Their staff are thieves. I stayed at Gypsy. I moved out of my room. Immediately after my friend was staying in that room. When I moved out, the management was aware that my friend was moving into the room and that I left a box of my personal belongings nicely organized in a box in the corner with nothing else dirty in the room. When my friend moved in, all my belongings values over 20, 000 baht was stolen from the room. I immediately emailed Gypsy and asked for them to return the stolen items. They ignored my email. So this be your warning, DO NOT STAY HERE. Management and cleaners are working together to steal your belongings. Also, Gypsy is in the middle of the island. Not near the beach nor any sea views. Very misleading.

I was treated great, the staff a wonderful, the place very clean and according to the prices.

Our room overlooked the pool, very spacious and nice! There was a lot of moisture in the bathroom. Well located hotel, away from the tumult of the promenade. Correct breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, toast…

Dont waste your money. Reception dont know basic english. They chare 4 more dollars than it says on booking for "taxes" they dont clean the room and breakfest doesnt worth 5 dollars in total save your money for a better place if you decide to stay there well. Good luck.

Nice staff. Rooms are clean and basic. A little walk from the beach but about a 10min walk from all the bars.

The Hotel from the outside looked great and it was quite a nice quiet area however the interior and the staff did not really live up to expectations. When we arrived our bedroom door was open and swarming with mosquitos! The "buffet" breakfast was rather disappointing and the fact that we were bombarded every morning by staff to prove we were guests staying at the hotel before we were allowed to eat got a bit annoying and we got the same greeting when returning late some evenings after being out, being greeted by flash lights in our face. The swimming pool was nice but would not stay here just for that. It is definitely over priced for what you get.

We were comfortable, it is close to the center but far enough away to sleep peacefully.

Nice hotel, good location, close to shops and quiet. I recommend it.

Very chip hotel. Nice pool. The room is a joke. No hot water all the time. The flow in the shower is very low and it's very hard to take a shower. Not recommended!

The area is big. Be quiet. It's cozy. The staff are good. The numbers are fine. The pool is nice. It's close from the sea!

From the Phi Phi Villa in overbooking send us to the Gipsy Sea View for "only" €250 for 4 nights: perfect, pity that once we got there (and paid in advance on trust), we give a room simply indecorosa. Dark, dirty, in a horrible place, to the limits of human dignity: instead of the rooms of the hotel Sea View (the Bellino in the photos with the swimming pool), there are a room in the Village, in practice a local house without sunlight and a window that is not closed. I go to the front desk to protest and amazingly it frees a bungalow: it's smaller but at least it has light and isn't too shabby. We move, but we understand immediately that in two with suitcases is hard: there are no supports, bedside tables, hangers, minibar, the bathroom with every shower is flooded completely and is unusable for an hour. The only thing that works well is the air conditioner, without which you would get to a illness for warmth, given the plate roof that makes oven effect. Luck also that the door leaves Spiragli in which we pass a finger (! ). We hope for breakfast, but the fruit juice is vomiting and the frankfurters sucks even the many cats to which we propose. After 2 days we can not more of this agony and we move to the Garden View, another planet since it costs half and the room is twice as large, not counting everything else. In short, the Gipsy Sea View can be a nice hotel, but the Village is to avoid like the plague, since it costs €65 per night and is simply INDECOROUS.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area but still not far from all the other places you want to be. It's a perfect location and your near quiet parts of the town if that's what you like, venture a little further and your in the party bits. Only downfall was there food wasn't great and not much to choose from so we only ate there once and unfortunately we went in the pool once and never saw anyone in the pool the whole week we where there as there was always lots and lots of dead flies and bugs all over the pool, if they cleaned it and had a proper filter we would have enjoyed it more and people would have used it. The staff are incredibly friendly and will go out of there way for you though.

The rooms are average, the food is like everywhere else, but you need to stand in line, and who managed, he ate, the rest that is left. A lot of mosquitoes, not even a raptor. Prices for washing and other ubiquitous, more expensive in 1, 5 times than everywhere else and on products too.

For the night and the transit base, wash, change right. The rooms are clean, the water is there, the laundry is clean. What else do you need? Pi P Don is not in the hotel you go to go. ) In general, I was satisfied, all liked.

Everything is fine — location, nature. The food is not for the fastidious, but tolerable. But the rooms in the bungalow are old and with a not very pleasant smell from the toilet, clearly require repair.

Room is well equipped. With good and cheap food nearby. Convenience stores nearby. Pool is right in the middle of the resort. Every thing is so clean. I am looking forward to return again.

Knew about the issues from the reviews. Brought our own soap and shampoo so that’s fine. Reception is slow, Wi-Fi is beyond horrible (thank god we had our own 4G network) and hairdryer is at the reception. It’s not possible to bring it to your room. You have to get out and dry your hair at the reception. 2 staff were also rude. But there’s 1 staff that’s very lovely. Pool was nice. We spent a day playing in the pool. I heard that housekeeping is only upon request but they did it for us without us requesting so that’s sweet.

I m still staying in this hotel and I m not happy at all. Room is not to bad but staffs are so unfriendly and I can't speak even one word of english. Breakfast is disaster you don't have Breakfast in the hotel they give you a ticket and you go a coffee shop with that ticket and you have no options. You won't find anything you have seen on the pictures. You don't have soap in the room to wash your hand and no coffee tea also.

This place wasn’t too bad. My issues were minimal. The closet door wouldn’t slide so maintenance came immediately when I let the front desk know and he tried to make it work for a while and finally said he I couldn’t close it. I had a wrestling match with a gecko that got in on my second morning. I tried to kill him with OFF and he would not die. Finally he wasn’t moving long enough for me to grab one of the ladies from housekeeping. She was just as squeamish as me but she got him out. The bed was still hard but not as hard as the bed at the last place. The good things were that all the rooms faced the pool so there was some type of view. The patio was nice and it had a little clothes rack to dry clothes. The AC blew VERY cool which I LOVED! The refrigerator worked great. I had some nice cool water and soft drinks which is rare because most hotels offer a minibar type fridge that doesn’t get that cold. It had enough space for me to not feel like I was in a box and I had a desk. Location it was far from the center of the island where the pier is but it still had food easily accessible even though I wasn’t crazy about eating here. There was some type of development going on behind the room where I was so there was the noise of the excavator during the day but it was not overly annoying. I would stay here again if I had to because the people were very nice.

You can't really expect so much for the price, but that was the worst hostel on our Thailand trip with standoff! Holes in windows and in the door were optimal if you like to sleep with moskitos. It was also very dirty and unkempt, it can definitely not recommend further. Even for the price, it's still too expensive! Phi phi Island is very expensive, but still every cent too much!

Whe. Arriving at tonsai pier and people will ask you where you're staying and you tell them Gypsy Sea View resort, they will tell you it's a long walk. But it's not at all. Turn right from the pier and follow the road and it takes you there about 5-10 minute walk. Approaching the hotel it looks stunning and I thought the bad reviews were going to be wrong. Inside the room is bare bones. With such a beautiful building this resort could easily be 5 star. All rooms face the pool and a nice distance from the hustle and bustle. But inside there were blood stains from mosquitoes that people have killed. Being out of the way there are lots of mosquitoes and bugs and it would be nice if they wash the walls every so often. Bed was fine, but bed linen not the nicest. Also, housekeeping is only done upon request. We didn't get it done because the staff keep the doors open and the bugs get in. If the staff upped their game this hotel could definitely be a 5 star, but staff seemed annoyed every time we asked for towels. Worth the price I guess, but perhaps an other hotel would be better.

Not about hotel, just restaurant. After a long morning on speedboats I was looking forward to a good lunch and a beer, here's a hint they aren't here. The food was bland and very limited in options. No booze is sold at this restaurant so better bring your own, because the nearest store is a good little walk away. The staff was friendly but I would highly recommend anywhere else on the island for your dining.

Stayed in the bungalows, not so nice for the price cat away from actual resort, completely different style.
