Hidden Gem. Cant wait to go back.

Overpriced for Thailand and benefits. Unreachable for both wheels without prior warning. Sunset not visible from the restaurant. The staff barely friendly… In short, a very bad experience. Many other much better places on the island!

Wow! Just the rest and relaxation we needed! We booked for 3 nights and could have stayed longer, we were so relaxed and well cared for! Although we visited during the rainy season and witnessed a bit of rain and wind, it didn't spoil our stay.
The main thing was we slept so, so well, and felt so rested and refreshed when we left. I didn't even think I needed more sleep but clearly I did! There is no electricity, hot water or Wi-Fi which can be an adjustment, but it definitely adds to the relaxation. How many of us spend unnecessary amounts of time on our phones?! You can spend time reading books, lounging by the lovely infinity pool, or trying one of the lovely drinks or meals on offer. There are also numerous cats and kittens to entertain you. You will encounter wildlife — but this for us was part of the beauty of the place. You can really connect with nature again — even if nature pops up in your treehouse roof or in your bathroom! So be prepared to meet little creatures of all sorts. The food is some of the best I've had in Thailand and I've been here on and off 15 years, so that's saying something! If you have a chance to get a fish from the market (order in the morning or the night before) then take it fried with tamarind sauce — absolutely delicious! I also really loved the concept of not having mass produced goods, but they make their own healthier versions of cola and lemonade — truly beautiful! We will be back again soon!

We came here after a great recommendation from a friend; despite seeing the beautiful pictures before arriving it completely exceeded our expectations. Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect. The accommodation is a wonderful combination of luxury/adventure; there’s no feeling like waking up in the jungle whilst still having a perfect balance of home comforts and delicious local food. Having no electricity was a great opportunity to disconnect from the rest of the world and enjoy the moment. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Great place to scape and just relax, Very tricky to get there though, the staff could put more signs along the dirt road, because at some point for foreigners is go with intuition or go Back… But worth the visit.

What an amazing place, after a bit of a treck down a bumpy road finally found it. The view was breathtaking, so nice to be up above the jungle looking out. Didn't stay the night but had a look at one of the villas and wow they looked so nice. Food was great also. Will definitely be staying a night next time.

Unique experience! Located in the jungle on a mountain you can really shut down and relax. The resort offer muay thai courses and yoga.

I was mesmerized by this place when I came across it in my search for somewhere to relax in nature while visiting Thailand and truly can’t recommend it enough! If you’re looking for a place to blissfully disconnect without electricity, enjoy amazing food and cocktails, and see the unforgettable beauty of island nature, this is the place to go. The Island Hideout is secluded from all of the other resorts on the island, with the organic restaurant, pool and bungalows all nestled into the tree canopy with a view of the bay. The bungalows are open to the surrounding environment with mosquito netting covering the beds for comfortable sleeping and only candlelight to guide you in the evening. It was amazing to go to sleep to the sounds of nature, particularly when it was raining, and to wake up with a view of the paradise surrounding us. We ate at the restaurant many times, both for breakfast and candlelit dinner. All of the food was thoughtfully presented, sourced from the island and wonderfully fresh and flavorful. The sticky rice, local honey and all of the curries were particularly delicious! We also loved all of the cocktails curated by Marc, a fantastic German gentleman with a strong background in the beverage industry. Both he and Anita were extremely attentive, genuine and so interesting to get to know.

Beautyful place far off everything. Very laid back and relaxed, 100% nature experience. The food is very nice and the staff and the owners are super friendly.

Absolutely amazing experience! The resort is middle in the jungle, the bungalows are open (no windows) so it feel likes sleeping in the forest (but on a very comfortable bed). There is no Wi-Fi, no electricity, no warm water! Just away from the world! Perfect “cast-away-like” place with the best sunsets and sunrises directly from your bed. And the restaurant is one of the best on the island! The fried papaya salad is simply crazy!

The Hideout Resort is just the Right thing to do, not on 0815 holiday, the spacious rooms offer a really fantastic view over the forest and the sea of Thailand. The harmonious décor and the natural surroundings make for a very special Flair and a mood all of its own. Away from crowded beaches and noisy streets can be easy to relax. The warm atmosphere and the beautiful Pool can quickly forget the time. We have spent unfortunately only a day and a night, but I don't want to miss this experience.
