We had booked the hotel for 10 days and changed to another hotel after 2 days. The Haven is never (according to advertising) the new star among luxury resorts). The hotel is neglected, dirty! Breakfast was gross. Pool was dirty! Mold in the bathroom, on the pool cushions, broken wooden planks, broken tiles by the pool. Unskilled, not very friendly staff. Conclusion: more appearances than reality! The hammer came after we left. We had already posted this review online and were immediately threatened by hotel management. If we didn't delete the negative rating, they would report defamation to the police. This would be illegal in Thailand and we would be arrested.

The Haven is the perfect escape — stunning landscaping, unspoilt beach, high quality food and beverage on site. We loved every moment.

Friendly and most helpful staff. Beautiful views of the Andaman Sea. The largest saltwater pool in Thailand. Clean, authentic, comfortable rooms. Peaceful and relaxing spa with reasonable prices. The main restaurant staff is slow and they are lacking simple things like a decent sparking water. The Thai foods are delicious and reasonably prices for a hotel of this quality. Overall, a wonderful experience and would recommend to family and friends.

Staying here for 3 nights. Staffs are very nice and friendly. The pools are the best and they are next to the beautiful beach. COVID-19 caused them a lot. There are plenty of room available. Totally recommend this hotel.

Very cozy beautiful resort style hotel in peaceful area with marvelous salt systems pool, adults only hotel. Very nice large room with super comfortable bed and well functional design. Staff are very helpful with surprising complimentary for those whom check in late at night.

Simply heavenly.

This is a stunning hotel set right on the beach in a peaceful location about 3 km from the main Khao Lak road. It has a vast and immaculately maintained pool complex with 2 swim up bars, ample sun beds, so you dont need to bee at the pool with your towel prior to breakfast to stake your claim. The restraunts are of a high standard and the food is good quality and reasonably priced for a hotel. Lovely friendly staff, excellent rooms, we have a swim up deluxe and share a 25m infinity pool with 3 other rooms "fantastic". There is also a spar complex and well appointed gym. So far we are finding it hard to fault this place. Really would come again and would highly recommend.

I do have to say party ging and Ricky are amount some of my favourites here although all are amazing.

Stayed here for the last 3 nights of our trip to wind down. Lovely place right on the most beautiful untouched beach. Adults only which made it relaxing. Loved that you couldn’t reserve sunbeds — towels were removed by staff if this was done, meaning you could always get a bed anytime of day. Also loved smoking and non smoking section for sunbeds — great idea! Swim up bar was brilliant too!

Lovely hotel, perfect for rest and relaxation! Staff are very attentive, especially those on pool bar service during the day!
Rooms are big and spacious and lovely to have the pool access.
Far enough away from the town to not have noise but close enough in taxi to go and experience it all.

We stayed at the haven for 2 weeks for our honeymoon and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are a massive credit to this resort. We have never been somewhere so accommodating and helpful. Thai people in general are some of the most respectful, beautiful people we’ve ever met.
We arrived at the haven late in the night but was still able to have a meal at the restaurant which was nice.
Bambi the receptionist told us everything we needed to know and showed us to our rooms, she was lovely.
Our room was decorated to celebrate our honeymoon which was a nice touch.
The hotel is in a beautiful environment and it’s nice to see that they are so proud of their environment. I really enjoyed the fact that the beach is completely empty.
This is the first hotel where we haven’t gotten bored of the food, the menu has a lot of choice. We will be visiting again, thank you to everyone who made our honeymoon amazing! X.

Beautiful hotel in amazing scenic location. The place is so clean. The staff are all so friendly. Ricky at the restaurant remembered from day 1 that I was vegetarian and had the menu ready for me each time we visited and Party was such a friendly waitress. Little touches like providing a beach bag for you make this place truly special. The reception staff are all lovely and the friendly faces at the pool bar are second to none. Thanks for making our honeymoon so special!

A great 8 days here! Great accommodating staff, good transport into town. At 1st thought a bit isolated but then got into the way of things. Good local restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

Loved this resort, staff were wonderful. Lots of Pools and cocktail bar, pool table, pool side room was fabulous. Luxury escapes deal was excellent value.

I love the Haven Khao Lak, the staff like Joy, Jack and James at the Front Office are the best asset of the resort. It was a very nice staycation. Incomparable Highly recommended for honeymooners, retired people, or group of friends. Solo travelers, is also good if you are ready to be alone while other guest has partners. Please stay at least 5 nights or more, their swimming pool and the ambience is the best, they have nightly dinner, delicious breakfast book a room on deluxe pool access or the villa. Acqua Spa — Ivy is highly recommended. Thank you team The Haven Khao Lak it was my great staycation.

Beautiful resort in a perfect location and the staff were amazing… Will be definitely going back in the future with more family and friends.

We recently stayed at the Haven in Khao Lak and it was rather disappointing. The room was spacious and the pool is the best thing about the hotel. We arrived late from Sydney, by the time we arrived to check in it was 10.30pm and as room service isn't 24hrs we were unable to order food. The hotel gave us a 'dinner box' which included one small OJ popper, some stale pastries from breakfast (with no butter or jam for the mini croissants) and half a sandwich which was three sli…ces of bread with ham, cheese and mayo, a milk popper and a couple of pieces of fruit. How is that sufficient for two adults? The breakfast is lack lustre and not very exciting, the items change daily but they're really random, the curry is way too spicy for most Westerners. No consistency in the service, out of the 10 breakfasts we ate there on two occasions we were asked for our room number, other times we’d just turn up and seat ourselves. Housekeeping would replace bath towels and would leave one towel when there were two us in the room, not replace toilet paper or leave one beach towel instead of two. Pool bar is probably one of the other highlights but pool rules say 'no alcohol and no glass bottles' that's a massive contradiction given they allow glass beer bottles in the pool.

This is a great place to unwind from it all. We're in our 50's and just wanted a break from the rat race for 10 days and have to say the Haven hit it right on the nail.
The staff are amazing and relentless in trying to give you the best service and food they can. We had very little rain (end of October) and managed 3 day trips, all of which were arranged through the resort and were perfectly run with no problems. … If your looking for some time for you and your wife, husband or partner to reconnect then this place is for you… just perfect. Thank you Haven Resort, your staff are very professional and are very well presented. A credit to your training and commitment to the industry. Everyone has a smile on their face. Get a pool room, pay the extra it's worth it. And the sunsets are just beautiful. My wife and I have found ourselves again. We will be back! John & Stella.

Loved this resort! Got a room with pool entry from our terrace which was pure luxury. The main pool is also really nice — make sure you visit Nash at the pool bar. He is super friendly and will give you the VIP treatment. Great food, different activities every day and all of the staff friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be going back!

Amazing Hotel. Staff are super friendly. Plenty of choice for dinner. Spa. Pool is massive. Great prices for cocktails. Shuttle bus into Khao Lak. And the staff will help book day excursions. Room was super comfy and large. Couldn't ask for more.

Cant recommend The Haven, Khao Lak highly enough. We have just had a 10 night stay there through Luxury Escapes. We decided on an upgrade to a beachfront jacuzzi villa which was beautiful. The staff are very friendly & helpful. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday The Haven is perfect.

Our last day today. Breakfast, if you could not find something you liked your would have to be a fussy person. Selection great. Kid free which is great. Lovely rooms. Peaceful beach. Swimming pool and lounging are great with swim up bar. Enjoyable. Thank you to the friendly staff again especially Nash, Tang and Nan. Lots of other staff to. Very good at remembering what you liked to drink and where you liked to sit. Made to feel very welcome. Thank you everyone xx.

I was here recently from 5th May till 13th May for a 8 night holiday. It was absolutely beautiful. They had so many pools around as well as a stones throw to the beach. The room was huge with two double beds. They have two Restaurants with one that opens only for breakfast and the other for lunch and dinner. Their BBq and Thai Night was the best. They have two pool bar areas and another Bar on the 1st floor. Everyone was just lovely. Special mention to the Barman Nash (Bong) who was always smiling and welcoming to everyone. A must go place if you need a relaxing holiday.

Our last day today. We've had a wonderful stay. Breakfast is great, can even have a cappuccino. In a good position for renting bike for a couple of days for seeing the sights. Right on the beach and other restaurants where only a short walk from hotel, were very good and cheap. Staff very helpful and our housekeeping ladie, Tang was wonderful.

This Hotel is a combination of — natural beauty of a beach — a modern pool design — beautiful reception overlooking the sea once you entered, you will see these 3 highlights at the same time. What an amazing view that would be. 1. Breakfast doesn’t gets better with amazing view. 2. SPA is a must try experience (maximize your vacation) beside the pool view at the entrance of the spa. Close your mouth while having a massage, your saliva might just drop off. 3. At night, try the FOOD BUFFET everyday the food types are different, from western to asian to mediterranean, with live singing duet. overall, its a fun way to spend a vacation with your family or partner.

April 2018 — We spent 2 weeks at the Haven on a b&b basis, breakfast was impressive especially the egg station and fresh fruits, the pool was fantastic and the beach and sea only a stroll away and safe to swim; we thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Thailand. We had a swim up room which is recommended and I would really like to thank all the staff who made our stay amazing, especially Gam, Enjoy and Man.
There are several restaurants within walking distance which were lovely our favourites were mamas greetings, Try it and Andamans seafood, never spent more than £20 per couple for a meal. We definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to relax and we look forward to our return visit.

Hammer Hotel. Go next Year for the 2nd Time. Super Service, great Drinks. Sometimes not adultouted. Very nice and also almost right on the Beach. An Estimated 50 Meters and one is in the Sea.

Magnificent pools. Big, well appointed rooms. A choice of swim up bars. Restaurant and sit down bar. Direct access to sandy beach. Short walk to local restaurants. Hard to fault.

Loved staying at the The Haven. Very peaceful and quiet being adults only resort. We upgraded to a Villa which was well worth it as absolutely wonderful. Nothing around outside the resort but they do a shuttle into the town each day. And there are a few local restaurants just up the road. We will be back for sure!

A great hotel! The pool is amazing. Hotel food could be a bit better. If it was there would not even be a reason or need to leave this gorgeous location!

Just did the cooking class with Pong. He showed me how to cook authentic Thai food and was v informative. Beautiful Staff and place. Get CD with pictures and recipes of all the dishes I cooked. Give it a try good fun and tasty.

Nice resort right on the beach, but separated by a small street from it. Has come a bit in the years and would have to be renovated at one or another place.

It was definitely great, but now it is being maintained and it is slowly but surely getting worse. Doors do not go, stones fall off the wall, Whirlpool goes no more, … Otherwise good service and the food is okay. A little more expensive for what is offered.

Having just stayed at The Haven I can thoroughly recommend it. We had a direct pool access room which is well worth the price.
Beautiful beach, fantastic accommodation and wonderful staff. All together a recipe for the perfect holiday.
We will definitely return in the near future.

A beautiful hotel, with very effortful staff! You should book without HP as the dinner is relatively expensive and rarely traditional! There are stretching/yoga every day from 8am to 9am, which is held right on the beach! The breakfast is also excellent and there is everything the heart desires! Especially with the coffee and the sweet spreads the selection is huge!

Very nice facility. When booking, a room with direct pool access is a must. Unfortunately we had a lot of cockroaches in the breakfast room, pool and otherwise in the grounds. Without the cockroaches, I would have given 5 stars.

A great hotel a beautiful quiet hotel that is perfect for relaxing. Great location right on the kilometre Long Beach. The huge pool landscape is unique. Staff and management very friendly. Spa area could be a little more comfortable. Can only recommend it to anyone.

Perfect place to get away and relax. The staff were all very attentive and the and the pool was amazing. It has lost a star due to it's distance to town, you need to book the free shuttle bus in advance or catch a taxi. The the return shuttle leaves town at 6.3pm so if you want an evening in town you have to pay to get home. The food at the resort was ok but not amazing, so I preferred to eat at the much cheaper restaurants a short walk down the road, it was well worth the walk.

Beautiful location with biggest sea salt swimming pool. Wonderful beach and palm trees surroundings. Kind and helpful staff. Not crowded and ideal for peaceful vacation.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Beautiful decor, excellent cuisine, friendly and efficient staff. Room was big and clean. Lovely bathroom. Beautiful pool and acceß to the beach. Many activities organised for those that way inclined. My only criticism is the design which demands going up and down many steps which is not easy for the elderly or those who have mobility problems.

A terrific place to get away and relax. A huge pool with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The rooms are big and comfortable. The beach is right next to you and it's very big. At least 5 kilometers long which has fairly clean and warm ocean water. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. No kids at this resort which suited me quite fine. Will highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, however a little ‘out-of-the-way’ — more of a hotel for pool lovers rather than beach (unless you hire a ped) or enjoy walking (as there are beautiful beaches on its doorstep) staff very kind and the place is kept beautifully clean & tidy. Nice breakfast. Only down side is having to deal with smokers, every room is a smokers room therefore if you don’t you can be choked off you outdoor space so made swim up room not worth the money we paid extra, Haven you need to think about this! Also non — smoking area at pool nit the best side! Broadband speed brilliant.

Spent 8 glorious days at The Haven. The location is stunning and the resort is perfect for couples looking to unwind and enjoy each others' company. Highly recommended.

Excellent. They have the longest saltwater infinity swimming pool in Southern Thailand (5, 000 square metres). Located near Lak-Lam Ru National Park just inland from Khao Lak Beach. No heavy industry, no pollution. The ocean was warmer than the swimming pool. Around 28c. Breakfast was excellent. Eating fresh tropical fruit mango, dragon fruit, pineapple and water melon. It is about 1.5 hours drive from Phuket airport. This place is to relax. It was hot and humid but I liked it. The people of Thailand are nice and friendly. I really enjoyed my visit and would go back again.

Bed bugs! Argh eaten alive. Worse still the management would not acknowledge, suggesting mosquitos. Run by young adults as best they're able. Location beautiful.

An absolute gem, just get enough away to be peaceful, just close enough to pedal in on the complementary bikes and enjoy Khao Lak. We stayed for 8 nights in a poolside room and our expectations were exceeded at every step. Staff were lovely, room was exceptional and the tours offered were out of this world. Happy hour at the swim up bar is a must. Couldn't recommend The Haven highly enough, will definitely be back.

Best place to relax and enjoying sunset.

It's a lovely resort. Great fun things to do. Friendly staff with a great sense of humour. A bit far out of town, but they run a free shuttle bus twice a day to the market or Khoa lak central.

Very relaxing with a good ocean view.

Hip new beach resort. Super clean rooms with full amenities. Quiet beachfront with safe ocean swimming. Outgoing staff. Best to rent a motorbike as it is too far to walk anywhere.

We were there in April 2015 for a week in this new Hotel and will come back.
