Review of Srisuksant Resort 4*

Very disappointed with the hotel overall for the following reasons: 1) Wifi was rubbish. Not only do you need to keep logging in every two hours, the internet was so slow that you could barely check your emails let alone any social media. 2) Towels. For peak season one would expect that there would be enough towels for the pool or beach. Not only did they run out of pool towels and required we use our room ones, all towels were very old and worn out. Upon return to our room, towels were not replaced so a shower was out of the question until I went looking for housekeeping. 3) Housekeeping slow and inefficient. It took them until 3pm to finally clean the room. However not every area was cleaned. The floor was still dirty. The sheets on the sofa bed were dirty and the pillows stained. 4) Fitness room a joke. The equipment didn't work or were on their last legs. The treadmill was such a cheap version that upon standing on it I almost slipped off and tripped over. A serious safety hazard. The whole room needs a good clean with the so called carrots stained and very dirty. No water nor towels in the 'gym'. 5) Gala dinner scam. This was by far the most disappointing. As we decided to stay over 31/12, they insisted we pay 3000THB each for a New Years dinner as compulsory. They tried to force us to pay and have dinner in their rather poor hotel restaurant as a kind of surplus charge. It took me 3 hours of ranting with the manager and Agoda with whom I had booked this hotel, did they finally back down! What a scam. 6) Rooms were so noisy. One could hear the room next door sneezing, talking and doing their toilet business. So much for privacy when you are aware your neighbours can hear all that you do! Moreover, you can hear in the morning the staff preparing breakfast and cleaning and we were on the 2nd floor! 7) Room decor and facilities. The beds were old to the point weee you could feel the springs digging into your back. The pillows much too high and would hurt your neck as you slept. The furniture is old and worn. The bathroom is a standing shower — one would expect in a well established hotel there would be a bathtub. Moreover, the toilet seat was practically coming off. Overall, you get what you paid for. This being our second time on Krabi, this hotel was an utter disappointment. I urge all travellers to spend a little more and go somewhere else to avoid such a disappointment.
