Reviews of Lanta Happy Hill 2*
We arrived at Happy Hill following a few days in Koh Lanta Old Town and were welcomed warmly. The location is perfect for Relax Beach but on the recommendation of our hosts we took a little stroll two bays south along the coast to a small beach which basically became our “go to” for our stay. Happy Hill is a great place to use as a base on Koh Lanta and it is possible to rent mopeds from the resort (so much easier). The location is great with each bungalow being set apart from the others. Rooms are large and well furnished with good bathroom facilities and efficient air con. Our hosts immediately replaced the TV in our room as it was not working — in fact they were unobtrusively helpful. Nothing was too much bother — even our laundry was done at a reasonable cost. The grounds are beautifully kept and really pretty. We enjoyed seeing the gekos each evening and the huge butterflies that appeared in the gardens. Breakfast is delicious — pancakes for the sweet tooth and Thai omelette for the savoury tooth! We enjoyed trying out the various recommended eateries nearby — Yawee being a favourite. In all, we cannot recommend Happy Hills enough… seriously, the hosting family made our holiday and we look forward to visiting with our family one day. Thank you.

The bungalows are well spaced from each other, with a large terrace, very clean, spacious, comfortable, in an environment of plants, very quiet, good air conditioning, a 5-minute walk to a small nice beach with sun loungers, and restaurants but not too much, not crowded quiet, the breakfasts are excellent, hearty, good, well presented with several menus at your choice, the owner is smiling, nice, it is he who prepares the breakfasts very carefully. Kho Lanta is really nice, don't miss old city of Kho lanta, with its old wooden houses, on stilts, overlooking the sea, transformed into restaurants and shops, with splendid views.
