Located just outside the city otherwise but O. K.!

First time staying at this hotel and will be the last. First night we arrive late so had to get regular double bed room. The beds were twin size not full. It was very uncomfortable. The second and the next two nights here, we upgraded to sweet room which has a full size bed. The prize went from 990 baht to 1350 baht the bed quality is worse. My back had been hurting since. I would not recommend staying here and giving it 2 stars is generous because the staffs were great. Everyone was accommodating. Always had a smile on their faces. I spilled ice tea on the floor and had to use one small and one large bath towel to clean up. They charged me 400 baht for large towel and 200 baht for small towel. I felt ripped off but didn’t argue with the staff because it’s not them it’s the management.

A hotel that looks deceive under lights. I paid the most I ever paid for a room (the hotel appeared full at breakfast time),  in my many stays at Nong Khai. Thought I would treat myself to a better class of hotel, but a disappointing hotel that I would neither recommend nor stay at again. Not worth the money. Room was supposed to be 32sqm but is less than 24sqm; a 33% overstatement!   119 rooms over 6 floors, from 4 to 9, and only one lift out of 2 working, to carry 8 people (550 kg max) ; expect a long wait during busy times; fo the math! I was told that the second lift would be fixed in 3 days, but it looked a little more permanent than that and I was told I could use the service lift behind the "staff only" door, like some other wised up guests (from past experience? ). Located in a commercial and government offices area with only a few Thai eating places nearby, except the usual Western fast food options in the shopping centres and a food hall at Tesco. The last thing a tourist or traveller needs is a Tesco and a Big C shopping centre, better to have good eating, entertainment and other travel related options. At night, to eat, you have to walk down to the T junction and cross over to a disused service station, that has a small night market of food stalls; continue on to the next T junction and there is a coffee cafe and turn right for the usual array of Thai footpath vendor options with a few restaurant options further along.
