The resort is gorgeous. The staff was friendly. The Suite is big. The territory is huge. Recommend to everyone.

Stinky and dirty rooms, arrogant manager, fraud prices for laundry services, noisy aircon, very old abd outdated resort. Room photos on agoda and booking are photoshoped. Look at reality of “deluxe” room in 5-star hotel. Beware of using their fraud laundry service — 1000 baht for 20 pcs are fraud, 30 meters away from hotel you get price 50 baht for 1 kilogram (the manager laughed in my face when when asking 1350 baht for 26 piece of laudry). One extra: they ask you for 80 baht extra for capuccino on breakfast. This is not normal event on 3-star hotels. This resort is a parody for nice stay on koh chang. Strongly recommend to choose another resort!

Lovely position on a raised beach area. Variety of restaurants nearby. We opted for upgrade to half board as first trip to Thailand and unsure about the locality of facilities near the hotel. Would recommend eating at the hotel the food is exceptional and all presented as you would expect in 4/5 star hotel. The staff are very friendly and although not all speak English they are very respectful.

Best holiday ever! The team were beyond fantastic in arranging our Thai wedding celebration, nothing was too much to ask for and we felt like VIPs for the duration of our stay. The restaurants foods are delicious and the pool bar amazing. … The beach is clean and facilities exceptional. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you to the whole Emerald Cove team, you’ve gained a special place in our hearts!

We had a great 5 day stay here. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The room was a good size, clean, modern and well maintained. Breakfast was great especially the eggs and pancakes! The highlight of the hotel was the 50 metre swimming pool, which was clean and open 24 hours. Food, drink, the spa etc inside the hotel was a bit expensive but there were as few nice restaurants on the beach and the roads near the hotel. Overall great value for money, great hotel, would stay again.

Accommodation quality, service, attitude, environment, clean, Best, the SPA is particularly recommended, worth a try, but the sleeping pillows are sure to change, the first day sleeping up neck and shoulder stiffness, aches and.

Beautiful property with huge swimming pool and lovely cocktails. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great location, will stay here again definetely for next visit to Koh Chang.

It's a decent hotel. Everything is clean, neat, beautiful design. The rooms are large, the showers and a separate bath-plus with the baby. Air conditioning with precise adjustment, ceiling fan is also a plus. Great varied breakfast, for all tastes and nationalities, change of dishes. The only minus-juice. The pool is large and round-the-clock, for children-2, for different ages. There is a small playground, too, helps out. The beds (were in May) are very free. Comfortable mattresses, large beach towels. The sea is a very gentle entrance, good for children, but you have to go 20 m to the left of the hotel, opposite the exit from the neighboring-there without stones and corals. By and large — I recommend!

Super room with separated shower! So there are no wet feet when man sits in the toilet and Mrs. Duscht …

! Resort is even nicer than in the photos! Which is often the case in Thailand in the opposite day
— gets a minus point the hotel for the really excessively high prices regarding food & beverage. If prices were lower, we would surely have stayed at the resort one or the other time for a few cocktails.
All in all a really super hotel which you can recommend!

Very comfortable hotel, with western standart/looking. Here some pro and cons + big rooms, shower and bath tube in room, also a balcony, not very much space for clothes but it was enough + very good and comprehensive breakfast, everything included from coffee/tee, fresh made eggs on your wish, baked beans, ham and cheese, and also Thai food + staff is very friendly and helpful + everything is very clean and room is cleaned up every day It's a really good place to stay for maximum a week. But all the pros I expected because of the price. — the prices for food and drinks are impudence for Thailand. A small beer is over 200 Bath. I never payed more than 100 Bath (this was a hotel also) -the beach is not what we expected, there is a sandbeach at the hotel but then you have to go a few steps to reach the sea (showed on the photo) In a nutshell it was a great place to stay for a week, breakfast was excellent, rooms very comfortable. Prices were much too high, but there are a lot of other restaurants at the beach which are way cheaper. And you sit nearby the sea in the sand. If you get a good price then take it. If not, there are also some other very good places to stay.

Nice hotel which unfortunately has been a little bit in the years.
The rooms are nice sized and it is nicely decorated.
The beach is because of its wall is so optimal therefore also a star deduction.

You can rent a scooter over the hotel which costs 250 baht per day.

Was as a guest here to use the pool is charged with 500 baht. Beautiful garden and pool area. Service unfortunately a bit bored and too little staff. There's air up here. In my case, no poolside service. Simple bottle of water costs 101 baht, instead of 100 baht, which would simplify the change of cash.

Very nice hotel and it is worth to explore the island by scooter. The rooms are very clean and the staff very attentive and accommodating. Am the second time here and can only recommend Emerald Cove.

Hi there were five nights at the Emerald Cove, the hotel promised us a lot.
Pro: — Room very spacious — rooms always clean — friendly staff — large breakfast selection — large pool — many reclining areas — private beach, beautiful contra: — The good beds are directly occupied in the morning with towels conclusion: — would actually come back, the Hotel is top. The hotel is centrally located but quiet with nice clean private beach. The rooms are spacious and clean. The partly criticized prices for drinks at the pool bar are not comprehensible. Compared to other hotels of this class completely acceptable and there are daily more happy hours with 50% discount. We feel very comfortable and would return at any time:)

I ended up staying at 3 hotels during my stay on the island. The Chill Resort, the Dewa, and here. This was right in the middle of the other two. The Dewa being surprisingly my favorite. The Emerald was decent. Not great, not bad. The service at the front desk left a little to be desired, but everywhere else it was good. And I liked the pool area — plenty of seats and lots of sun.

The room was clean, the staff had Chinese staff to communicate well, there was a great pool (open until 11 o'clock) and the beach, as well as a spa and table tennis table.
But inside the restaurant may be not open to the relationship, so the use of few people, and food is not very good, and the price is very expensive (to add 10% service charge and 7% tax).

Very bad impression. Hotel with great pretensions to high class. It's a hoax. In General, the whole service is one big deception. The Mojito was not poured rum, wrong with the delivery (will find later is nothing to prove), complimentary free food drive in the account and hide behind the language barrier when each incident. And all this with a lot of overpraise, unrealistically high prices for Ty, even for Koh Chang. Very unpleasant experience, never again.

Why this hotel deserves 2 stars: 1) it’s not the worst hotel for sure, but it‘s just overrated and not too value for money considering its price 2) poor toiletries. For a 4/5 star hotel you would expect more. But I used up the whole bottle of conditioner and there are still tonnes of knots on my hair (definitely not the case for other resort toiletries that I have tried) 3) poor room cleaning service: The limited supply of toiletries in the room can only serve for 1 time usage, meaning you got nothing to use after you return from swimming. I wrote a note to ask for additional toiletries, but there’s literally NOTHING after the cleaning was done. No toilet paper, no shampoo, no conditioner 4) the hotel & hotel room is a bit old. The hairdryer has turned yellow in color and is covered with dirts, yet nobody clean it up and I have to use tissue to cover the handler before usage 5) as a resort, there’s only 3 pools, and one of them is just as small as a toilet 6) the buffet breakfast variety is not really resort level 7) the resort massage staffs are not very nice in terms of attitude. They talk to each other loudly during massage and one of them give me looks of disguise and pointed at the scars on my kneecap.

Spent 4 nights with this great hotel with great hospitality. The overall experience is great. Staffs are welcome and helpful. (Although We asked for more shampoo but they didn’t fulfill it until we ask twice) room is clean and fortunately we didn’t experience any bugs in room. The mattress and beddings are comfortable and clean. Although it’s quite full in the peak season but you still can find some seat for sun tanning on their own private beach.

Beautiful resort with friendly and attentive staff. The top reviewed Hatta Thai massage parlor is right outside the entrance! Towels for the pool and beach must stay on the premises, but they can give different towels for excursions.

Very good hotel on Koh Chang. We spent here 10 days and it was amazing holiday. Clean, quiet and spacious rooms, friendly staff, amazing swimming pool! Loungers on the swimming area always are available. Sea is not very good, but you can walk about 100 meters and enjoy beach of other resorts. I remove one star for breakfast, because it’s same everyday and isn’t very tasty for me, but you always can eat delicious fruits and omelette, that can’t be bad. But the strangest thing is that you should pay extra charge for coffee!

It's a wonderful hotel! Stylish decoration, large beautiful grounds, pools (for adults and children), Jacuzzi (I don't know the name correctly, it's a sedentary pool with a whirlpool) outdoors, its spacious access to the ocean, helpful staff, a large buffet on breakfast and more! It's wonderful!

Everything is great! hotel, service, pool, sunbeds, food. But the sea compared to Phuket is not so clear, shallow. Great romantic atmosphere, especially in the evening, when you sit in a cafe at a table right on the beach, on the sand, and in 20.00 starts fireshow. This is now my 5. Visit here and it is getting worse and worse. In the rooms, nothing is done to maintain the Standard. The rooms seem to be more and more worn. The staff is as always super. The price/performance ratio is not given for me.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. The calm sea, bathed with 8 month old baby. At our request, in the room was provided with a baby cot. I recommend for families.

Very nice grounds and large rooms. Lounging area is very spacious and has a 50m pool. Breakfast options were plentiful but didn't vary much from day to day. Beach is poor, you must walk down some steps into the water where the waves lap against a wall. At check-in we were taken to what seemed to be one of the worst rooms in the hotel! We booked a double room but were shown to dark, mouldy hole that had two small single beds! The hotel was almost empty so I don't understand why this happened. We got upgraded immediately to our originally booked room. Overall, it's a nice hotel but you can probably get better value for money elsewhere.

Great swimming pools. Wide variety of food for breakfast. Good service. A bit too high humidity in my bedroom, but it rained everyday when I was there.

Pretty good food. Friendly service. Beach area is a tidal flat so if you want to lay out in the sun you will have to do it up on the deck. However, lots of little ecosystems fill with critters that you can check out during low tide. Great for kids.

Just arrived impression based. Well after all staying is indeed good and comfy. Aircon and electric fan can make you feel ice age. Room and bathroom conditions quite ok. Hotel facilities were all alright gym, fitness, swimming pool, spa and bar. Russian guests mostly. The beach and sea front was bad sharp corals and debris covered in sea dust but enjoyable views and overall. Staffs were friendly and ok. Hotels neighbourhood stores and shops just like in far district area. U need to take 2-ROWS van to 7-11 or tesco. A peaceful moment on budget. Thanks my friends.

The water at the hotel is so-so, cloudy with the jellyfish, but — great pool, comfortable rooms, good food, dinner with live music and a beautiful sunset.
