Safehouse Hostel Hostel

It’s about 15 minutes walk from the main train station and about 5 minutes from the sea. The owners are friendly and can also give tourist information. There’s a communal kitchen which you can use with a fridge, toaster kettle hotplate and a microwave oven. I booked a private room with Agoda and was expecting my own bathroom but it was shared. Please update your Agoda listing as it’s misleading. The room was nice and big with aircon, a fan and a desk. The bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well. There’s also a shared balcony on the top floor. There’s a 7/11 about 3 minutes walk away. Safehouse was nice and quiet.

Its a very nice place in an amazing area. The host family is so nice and kind. We had such a great time there that we decided to stay longer as planned.

One of my favourite places so far. Sherry is so lovely, friendly & helpful with describing what's around & good to visit, & helpful with booking onward travel. Hostel also has a really laid back & social atmosphere. Would 100% go back if I'm ever in the area!

Beautiful Hostel in a beautiful place. Sherry is fantastic so helpful and really made us feel welcome. She even stayed up past midnight to ensure we got to the train station safely. Looking forward to visiting again.

Nice and clean but not worth the price. In the city of prachuap, for that price, you get a hostel in first line of the beach.

This hotel is worth to stay simply to meet the beauty and warm of this family. This is Thailand I love!

This is a great hostel run by a very friendly and helpful family in a lovely city. I feel very welcomed by Sherry and her parents and enjoyed all of my interactions with them. They genuinely want to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I know where to go to if I come back to PKK.

This hostel was amazing. Clean, comfortable and helpful. Sherry and her family really go above and beyond to look after you. My partner was bed bound one day really ill and the owners mother came upstairs with rice soup and fruit. I mean where else would that happen? If your passing through give them ago… we will definatly be returning. Thanks again guys!

Wonderful staff, standard cheap private room w/ shared bathroom and shared balcony. Location: 4/5 Located a 5 minute walk from the seafront and a 20 minute walk / 5 mins tuktuk from the beach. As the beach is on government military land you cannot really stay any closer to the beach. Staff: 5/5 Incredible friendly and helpful staff consisting of an elder gentleman who welcomed us and a young lady who worked the reception for the hostel/tour company. We were always greeted as we passed, had any queries answered perfectly and even had that step beyond help whereby the staff would see us considering possible day plans and would offer advice. Room: 3.5/5 The room was your basic cheap private. Bed, table, chairs, AC, fan and a window. The bed was comfortable enough and the AC kept the room cool. It could have been a bit bigger but otherwise pretty good for the budget. Cleanliness: 5/5 Nothing bad to say. Room, communal areas and bathroom were all spotless. Staff even put a cut up fresh lime in the bathroom for scent. I've knocked a star off the overall review as when we booked online at Agoda the description said "private bath" which we took to mean private bathroom.

The welcoming smile is real and authentic. This place is felt literally like home and beyond expectations. The owner Sherry treated us like a family. Definitely the place to visit back again.

Very, very friendly and polite owner :) The hostel offers few dorm rooms and few private rooms. They are equipped with air conditioner and provide all basic needs. It has a kitchen with basic equipment to cook for yourself. Also a small balcony. I came two times and would come again.

Very friendly owner and everything you need from a hostel. Good price, comfortable and even has air conditioning.

Every place was full at 11 pm. I slept here for $100 baht. I had to sleep in hall. The rooms were full. Comfortable and clean.

It's probably not the best place we've stayed at during our visit to Thailand but it's the one we felt the most welcome, it had a very nice cube and super friendly and helpful staff.

Sherry and her family are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I truly can't thank them enough for hospitality and kindness. They all took such great care of us and helped with all of our needs even when we were staying with her cousin just outside of town. I look forward to being back in Prachuap Khiri Khan to see them again. A million thanks, Sherry.

The best place to stay in this beautiful city. Clean and big rooms. The owner is very helpfull and nice. Everything is within walking distance.

The owner (Sherry) of the safehouse is an absolutely wonderful woman. She is willing to talk and can answer any questions at all. She has an infectious smile and laugh also. The hostel itself is nice, with some good indoor and outdoor seating areas. It is located more or less centrally between the beach and the night market. Everything in the fridge is essentially the same price as in 7/11, so you might as well support the little guy.
