The check in front staff is very rude, they seem don’t feel want to answer customer doubt.
The room air conditioner need take very very long time to cold the room.
I was sweating during sleep, the room have two air conditioner, I requested to on both but the hotel is not allow.
I won’t come back again to this hotel again.

I highly recommend Bangkok City Hotel due to the service provided by the staff working there especially the Manager (Joe). I am not a guest of this Hotel but the staff were still very helpful and friendly towards us!
We are guest of another Hotel (Bangkok City Link) about 15 min drive away, but because of some miscommunication with the Taxi Driver, we ended up at Bangkok City Hotel. Upon reaching Bangkok City Hotel we were greeted with fantastic hospitality, after finding out that we were at the wrong hotel we asked if they could help us book a cab, instead they used their hotel van to send us to the right hotel. Joe is also very friendly and helpful, giving us advice and recommendations on what to eat and do in Bangkok!

We left one new Tee in the room while we check out. The honest staff return to us when we about to leave. Keep up the good job! This is our third stay here!

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and offers affordable price with breakfast included. Its location is quite near to BTS station and 7-11, too. I've stayed here twice, and will surely go back here for my next Bangkok trip.

Nice hotell With good beds and bathtroom, good breakfast, but to noicy.

You get what you pay. Room is very clean and has enough wide space. Bath room includes a bath tub with hot water so you can enjoy relaxing bath. The downside is lack of amenities such as toothbrush and toothpaste etc. You can only get Bath Gel and Shampoo. Nothing else. Minibar has only two bottles of water.

Hotel to visit shopping centers.
2 nights maximum. A lot of noise.
Little rest.

Fair price and great service… good breakfast.

The staff are considerate. They allowed us to checked — in earlier than our booking. They also did their best to communicate with us though they have hard time to use the English language as a medium of communication. I like also their food esp. The tomyum it is indeed savory. The food for breakfast is always the same. So don't try all their food on your first day. Taxi drivers of this hotel are impolite and rude. They are deceivers as well so don't transact with them.

The hotel has a very good starting point, not far from the Skytrain, Siam Center, etc. The hotel has 19 inhabited floors with about 20 rooms per floor, so many people are accommodated here. There is a breakfast, but it is very turbulent here. My room was heading towards the main street, therefore not recommended for noise-sensitive. I was also a bit disappointed with the quality of service, the room was not cleaned during a stay of two nights and the staff is unfortunately not very friendly either. The 3 stars are only available because of the location, breakfast quality and furnishings of the room.

The airconditioner in room 2008 has severe problems and the aircond will not on after access card is inserted. Had to call the receptionist four times in a day to solve the problem. However, the problems are still not solved even after the technician came for 4 to 5 times. At 0150am, the aircond has yet to be fixed. Requested to change room but was informed fully booked. This is a very bad experience. Aircond is not properly maintained which has caused severe inconvenience.

Good location. From there, about 15-20min walk to the Jim Thomson House. What I found interesting was that one was in a non-touristy corner and thus could see much of the local living environment. The rooms were a bit dark but for 2 nights this hotel was totally adequate. The breakfast was not good at all, there was mainly hot food, so we had the breakfast on the 2nd day even failed.

Reception not smiling but competent small very well equipped room floor room not net very decent rate.

Great hotel, good location, and convenient to get to the airport.

The noise is very poor, the cleaning staff outside seven early eight early very noisy; also, please bring your own hairdryer, the air blower here is like a vacuum cleaner, super hard to blow.

Excellent hotel, fast, hotel Chinese service is good, check-in list has Chinese translation! Not far from the BTS, near the big row stalls a lot of convenient to eat and live! Not bad!

Nice place, clean suits. Small swimming pool, good breakfast but that's a big hotel and a lot of people, and you can stay without food if you come after 8.30. So they could cook more their tasty food)

Hotel says it is close to bts line, but expect to walk 5 minutes from the hotel. Overall nice room, and robust bathroom. The beds are a bit stiff, but if you're young, you will manage. If you have laundry I recommend you do it yourself (we had quite big batch).

Outdated equipment.
There are ants and cockroaches in the room.
Haven't toothbrush and slippers.
The room cleaners work not careful, and attitude not good！

Reception service very edges in general. They got the wrong room with our check-in and they didn't give us an option to change it. If I had to choose a hotel in Bangkok I would not choose this one despite the good price.

Easy check-in. Good location to the nearest BTS station. Breakfast is held in the Lobby. It's a bit too cold there and the Door always goes up and something annoys to that.

Not bad though too crowded for my taste, especially full of Chinese (education zero, move in herd screaming, etc)

Good location to all major shopping malls. Full of China treveler. Staff mostly can speak in Chinese. Simple breakfast included and nice. Wifi is good. Room is enough for two. The price of the hotel is consider cheap. Be ready with the full house of Chinese tourists in the breakfast because of less seats provided. However, the staff was very helpful and act fast in the restaurant to clear the tables. Tour package also provided.

Wi-Fi network is not good, super slow, breakfast generally can eat full on the line, others can also. Close to the downtown business district, downstairs left to turn the flyover to walk in a lot of snacks, like a bunch of hutong can stroll …

To crowdy and beds are horrible, you feel the springs coming out. Solution of the hotel was to put extra blankets on the mattresses since another room would be no solution as they all are horrible… Room and location is ok but do not take a tuk-tuk or taxi in front as they all want a high fixed price. Not the best place for European people to go to.

Rooms are spacious. Clean and tidy as well. Breakfast included not great though but still a plus point for those who doesn't want to spend on breakfast. Best of all, location. Walking distance to most attraction.

Loved the place staff were polite and professional breakfast was great room was very comfy would definitely book again.

The hotel is nice, the breakfast buffet is nice, staffs is friendly, But I saw a cockcroach at the lobby. No big deal, they are always in our life, even our house.

It was okay the only thing that they need to focus on make changes on how the guest connects on free Wi-Fi in the room it is tiring to type in user ID and password every time that you want to connect on the Wifi even if I click remember PASSWORD still need to type in.

It was very good. The room is very nice and clean. Nice staff. There is a bellhop service. The bathroom is very big and department stores in Bangkok which in a few minutes walk.

Value for money. Rooms were cleaned every day. There is also 3 floors for manual laundry service which cost 30 Baht. It is located 1 station away from Siam. Also, 15mins walk to Platinum Mall and Pantip! Good for a budget stay in Bangkok!

It's ok, but not so good. Transportation is very convenient though.

My second time staying at this hotel, very decent experience, walking distance to train station, shuttle service are available from hotel as well. Breakfast at morning very crowded, hardly get a seat, which mean they serving good breakfast as well.

The location is good. About 10 mins walk to the tram station. About 20 mins walk to the mbk and the other shopping malls. You can have night Thai food along the street. The bad part is that the swimming pool is too little and a dirty to step in… Breakfast hall is full of people. Anyway I recommend for its good location.

Domestic fast Hotel level. Okay value it. The people should be pretty easy to accept. It's a bike that sound great! I have been and the front Desk said to leave the main road far from the room…

Frieny staff, quite an ideal location, easy to find local food hawker.

The hotel environment is also good, the front Desk staff speak Chinese, but the bath water is not too good, the room lights a little Dim. Around formal restaurant like no. Walk to the BTS Sky for about five minutes. Breakfast.

First time in Thailand a choice of hotel, although the facilities in General. But around the Night Market really great.

Very good staff. The breakfast was good. Very many tourists. The street is loud. The room was clean and tidy.

The past year I've been a guest at this hotel several times and will surely be returning on future visits to Bangkok. 4 out of 5 when considering value for money. The hotel is located at a 5 minute walking distance from the nearest BTS station (Ratchathewi) which is one station away from the very central Siam BTS station (shopping malls like MBK, Siam Center etc). Taking a train one station in the opposite direction brings you to the Airport interchange which means its dead easy to get to and from the airport without having to pay for expensive taxi rides. Getting to Khao San Road from the hotel (which is necessary for Lomprayah busses to the rest of Thailand) is a 10 minute taxi ride and will cost about 80 to 100 baht. The rooms are great value for money and remind me of a few 4* hotels I've stayed in (big bed, nice city views, big screen TV, fridge, big desk/working area', free fast Wi-Fi etc). Some people complain about the dark atmosphere and decor but its something I personally like. The only slight complaints I've had has been the helpfulness (lack thereof) of the staff at the front desk on a few occasions, but these have been minor.

Very convenient location-
Metro 3 min, airport Don Moon taxi 300bat, MBC food is close. And the prices are reasonable.

Walking distance to BTS ratchathewi (250m), and close to siam paragon, mbk, platinum or pratunam fashion market. (You can you tuk tuk service from the hotel with only 80B) Service average, room big enough for your luggage, affordable price, the only problem is on brekkie time, super crowded since the restaurant area is quite small. You have to struggle just to find a table or chair, tips? come early at 7am sharp or skip brekkie and walk to convenience store beside the hotel or go to morning market across the street with various local street food.

The hotel is an establishment that, no complaints, cozy and comfortable.

Cheapish. Good for its price. Close to MBK and Pantip.
