Awesome staff and best food. The place is like a little paradise in Karatu. Worth to come back.

During our trip to Tanzania, my siblings, mom, and I were able to stay for a night at the wonderful Kudu Lodge and Campsite. Alas, as we were on a tour, we were unable to enjoy the lodge during daylight hours. Despite this setback, my mom and I went exploring immediately and found, to our delight, that the staff had labeled all the plants (to be researched later! ). The rooms were amazing and comfortable, and the dinner consisted of a buffet, filled with vegetables, salads, fruits, soups, and so on (plenty to choose from for any picky-eater! ). If you have the chance, go see the pool (it has a giant elephant next to it), listen to the birds in the early morning (the staff leaves print outs in the room with the types of birds found at the lodge), and visit the gift shop next to the dining hall (it has almost any kind of locally-made souvenir one would want, from dresses to canvas paintings, musical instruments to toys, carvings to coffee, etc). Nothing we bought in the gift shop was broken thanks to the careful attention of the shopkeeper for the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our limited time here. Bear in mind that drop off for laundry is early in the evening, so if you are on a tour, you may miss both the drop off AND pick up times. Just something to think about.

We stayed at the camping which was good. Had our own 'kitchen'. But they charge $10 for the campers to use the swimming pool which is a lot if you just want to take a short, refreshing plunge at the end of a long day.

The hospitality and they are services is excellent they will never regret.

A lodge with tropical flower garden. It is located in a small town. A good base for visiting or returning from Ngorongoro Crater.

Very nice place — perfect stay for safari. Kosmos (one of the hotel managers) was so nice to us, he showed us everything and made us chimney fire in our comfortable and clean room! The dinner was extra ordinary — THANK YOU!

Decent place to spend a weekend. Has a decent sized pool. The rooms are pretty cool. They also have a campsite.

What an amazing place! Beautiful setting. One staff member needs special mentioning — Daniel Charles. He was so helpful. My husband was a bit under the weather. Daniel brought him some peppermint tea, to the room and a flask for the night. Thank you again.

So cool hotel to spend some nights, it's natural with preserved forest to spend night with your partner.

Amazing experience, incredible hospitality, the food was amazing, and the scenery between the rooms is beutiful. Only complaint is slow Wi-Fi but it was an amazing stay.

The Lidge us set on a 12 acre piece of Land. Has very spacious rooms set in a very beatful garden with natural fresh air.

Place is great. No TV and Wi-Fi in the rooms.
