Fabulous stay, the capsule is clean and quite spacious, toilet is always clean and well maintained, courteous staff, ticket discounts for cable car/bikes/ferry etc. Near 伊達卲 pier (note: ferry and buses stop operating at around 5-6PM, get there earlier), 3 convenience stores nearby.

A wonderful hostel! I booked a single bed and the amount of space was plenty. The space was so clean, both in sleeping area and the bathroom. The common areas were large and spacious with plenty of utensils for use in the kitchen. While I enjoyed the accommodation, I will say my very favorite aspect of this hostel would be the staff! They were all amazing and so friendly, especially the front desk attendants. They helped me so much with planning out the finer details of my trip to sun moon lake; answered my plethora of questions with so much patience. They even went above and beyond and walked with me to the health clinic in town to help me translate. Can not wait to travel back to sun moon lake and book with them again! Thank you all for your help!

Good for the budget traveler. Rooms are more like pods with just enough room for the bed. Clean, efficient with friendly staff. Dining, resting area with kitchen. Close to waterfront.

Excellent hostel, with 'pods' that give you maximum privacy and a quiet good sleep. Fancy bathrooms with Japanese style toilets and good showers.
Rooftop and lobby for mingling, or just eating or hanging out.
Really good option for solo travelers!

Wow! This was by far the best hostel I've stayed at in many years of travel. ✨ The hostel was self sufficient with easy to use self check in machines, the pods were spacious like little bedrooms that could only be accessed with your card, and the common areas were clean and plentiful.

What a lovely staff ❤️ The young guy running the place is so sweet and helpful, and he has been giving his all to aid people of all nationalities. He also took us on an amazing firefly trip 🤩 we also talked with a sweet maid, who wanted to learn more about our country 😊
The place is nice and clean with big pods, spacious common areas, a well equipped kitchen, big lockers and heating in the toilet seats! Finally the hostel is located close to the street food area and places to rent bikes. Would recommend 👌

Lovely little hostel located in a quiet street in Ita Thao. Contact-less check in and out which is quite convenient. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Dorm was clean. Locker services available outside rooms (but you have to pay for that separately). Cold and hot water systems outside rooms on every level. Nice terrace on top floor. Really close walk to Ita Thao Night Market so you are never short on food. Reasonably priced accomodation for the area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Room:
The room is in a little cubby split into top and bottom bunk with sliding doors. You tap your card to open the door, which is annoying if you're on the top bunk because you have to tap your card while standing on the ladder. Inside the cubby the bed was big enough for me (5'7.5") and fit both me and my friend.
Payment:
You can use cash or card (visa or mastercard). It was about $69 USD for 2 people to a room. (Very reasonable given location and the facility. )
Location:
Right near Ita Thao Shopping District so food is easily accessible! The pier is right there.
Bathrooms:
— BR is co-ed.
— 2 stalls w/ bidets and 1 urinal.
— Shower stalls located in BR (about 5-6 with a mini shelf inside along with a small basket to put items in)
— Area right outside with cotton swabs, cotton pads (for makeup), hair dryer and napkins.
— There's also a water dispenser and trash can in the common area.
Noteworthy:
✨️Rooftop terrace with plenty of tables and wicker chairs.
✨️3rd floor had a common area with sofa and a large Teddy bear🧸
✨️They have FREE mini concerts/performances every night. The artists typically do street performances but they're extremely talented.
✨️Allowed us to leave our luggage there for the day to explore even after we checked out.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Owl Hostel is newly built, and feels more like an upscale hotel than a cheap hostel. The pictures don’t lie; the facilities are state-of-the-art, with modern bathrooms, high-tech cubicles (although, if I had to have the tiniest of criticisms, they tend to get a little stuffy and hot), and amenities like cold water dispensers. Plus, the rooftop view is gorgeous.
The best part though? The staff. They helped us plan each day and make sure we had the best experience possible, letting us know about the best local restaurants, giving us discounted tickets for transportation, and even searching through public transport timetables to make sure we made the most of our time. Would I come again? Yes. Would I recommend my friends to come? Yes. Would I recommend anyone to come? Yes, yes, yes!
