Cheap Hotels in Chiayi County

The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere and the public transport options are a bit limited but perfect if you are looking for a place away from the city.

Thank you for the free upgrade. The room was cooling enough with the ceiling fans :) Receptionist was friendly enough to guide us on the nearby trails and parks.

Stayed for 2 nights in December 2025 in the 6 bed dorm and had a great experience.

This hostel stay was fantastic — it is so cozy and the common areas are great for co-working or conversations with other guests.
Everything was very clean, tidy, and organized.

Rooms are good. Showers are great. Owner is friendly, and is willing to take us to Fenqihu for 200 TWD.

Reasonable price for weekdays, 50mins by car away from Alishan Park. No aircon but the fan worked perfectly.

Good hotel at great location. The staffs are friendly and room is clean. Guard doggies are adorable.

To get to budai you take hrt to Chiayi and take a bus or taxi 30mins. It's a small quiet harbor town with alot of seafood oysters etc. The service at the hotel was fine, rooms are also okay.

Old style cabin decoration was warm. The room was spacious and clean. Big and comfortable bed. Convenient location. There were supermarket and convenience store nearby.

Rooms were pretty much like other hotels, except the toilet which had a leak from the corner of the shower area to the toilet bowl area that was meant to be dry.

I stayed in a dormitory since there were no private rooms available. This was one of the nicest, cleanest, most modern hostels I’ve ever experienced. There were several beautiful common spaces.

Nice hostel! the rooms are great, services are awesome, and the location is perfect. A top-notch experience all around!

Located a short walk from the train station but I did use Gmaps.

A lot of delicious Taiwanese typical breakfast dishes to enjoy, if you book through AirBnB. This is a great deal!
The front desk folks were friendly, especially the gentlemen in the evening.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from Chiayi Train Station, with 小北百貨 and a 7-11 nearby.

A very cosy hostel. Clean rooms and toilet. Bed is simple yet comfortable.
Great for big groups of friends and cheep too.
Location is near the railway station and walkable to night market and shops.

Room was decent, hotel is a little dated, but location is great. That said, CJ from the front desk was INCREDIBLE.

Good hotel. It's not too far from the train station. The room is a very good size. Kettle AC safe. The AC is quiet.

We stayed here for one night. It is very worth the price and the room is very clean! Basic toiletries are provided but they do not provide towels. But they sell disposable towels.

4 bed female dorm room was clean and I liked the ensuite toilet concept.
