Very friendly family run hotel close to cable cars and village. Would recommend.

We stayed here as part of Great Rail Journeys "Glacier Express" tour in January, 2020. The hotel is truly fabulous. Rooms are so wonderful, very comfortable, spacious, warm, with great views of the mountains and surrounding areas. Our room had a lovely balcony. Dining Room very special and food excellent. Manager and staff very helpful and courteous. Ideal location for ski cars up to the mountain and touring. Highly recommend a stay… beautiful hotel in every way possible.

Lovely setting for a lovely hotel. We were very pleased with our short stay here, good food, good accommodation and an excellent swimming pool. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, lovely friendly staff.

We stayed here for a few nights yesterday and the day before. This is the 4th hotel we stayed in on our tour of Europe and was by far the best. The reception staff were extremely helpful and their English was good. Our room was like a junior suite and the views were awesome. However it is worth noting that they close the bar and restaurant on a Monday and Tuesday to give the staff "a weekend off" which seems bazarre when the hotel is full. However there are plenty of other places to eat.

Lovely and peaceful hotel with a nice and warm welcome.

Perfect for me and my 5 year old son. We came in February to enjoy the snow for the first time and back again now for our first summer alpine walking holiday.

Nice 3-star hotel, great location, wonderful view, family friendly, average breakfast. However, there are some negative points about this place. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, and the bathroom door was broken. Although there is Wi-Fi in the lobby, the connection speed was not good enough. In addition, the swimming pool water was too cold. Regarding the car parking, we struggled every day to park the car. Overall, it is not a bad idea to stay at this hotel, but make sure you collect the Kandersteg card from the reception. You will benefit from some activities discount in the area.

I was visiting out of season. Since there was very little going on, of course, I can now only evaluate what is true at that time. But the room was definitely worth the three stars. Clean, maintained, with a fairly large bathroom. The style is definitely not the latest, but that's not wanted here either. Belle Epoque is a program and you can already see that in architecture.
The staff and the owners are definitely very friendly and courteous. I also received a very good hint for hiking in the area. Breakfast is rich and there is something for everyone, including vegetarian or gluten-free.
I will definitely come back here if I want to holiday in the corner.

Exceptionally nice and high quality hotel.
Be it in the design of the public spaces (I have never seen such comfortable armchairs), breakfast or dinner or the selection of wine. All top.
I was amazed at one of the apartments and was really very positive about the architecture and furnishings.
There is really absolutely nothing to complain about, on the contrary: I want to praise everything at this hotel and will definitely come back.

Very good service at our coffee stop. We wading 20 people and were served within a very short time.

A brilliant idea, but unfortunately today the vagaries of the weather played a trick! But it can be even better!

So, the staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms are of decent size, however we we're on the first floor with people staying in room above us. The noise from their footsteps was incredible. The wood floors creaked very loudly. Had dinner in the hotels Ala Carte restaurant. The meal was fantastic. Definitely recommend it the restaurant. All in all, I doubt I would stay there again, but only because of the noise from the upstairs floor joists.

Clean room. Good service. Breakfast buffet very varied. Value for money.

1. We took the apartment attached to the hotel as we wanted the space for a week stay. 2. The furnishings were spartan even for just the two of us, a leather couch which caused one to slide down, a TV set with no english choices. 3. Cleaning the place, changing the sheets incurred extra charges, no dishwashing utensils or even toiletries in the bathroom. This is the first place we have experienced such facilities. 4. The halfboard changed in menu daily. We were amused with menu offering "Iridescent shark… " : it was not shark but something else. 5. Staff was pleasant, fast and smiled after a few days. 6. The tourist info next door is most helpful. 7. Two supermarkets within 5 mins walk. 8, Rail station 10 mins away. 9. Wi-Fi could be improved to cover the rooms. 10. All in all, a good experience.

The room space is not enough and is not good to use, the tail room can not receive Wi-Fi, bathroom supplies almost nothing. Breakfast was good. Beautiful scenery outside the window.

Comfortable rooms, interesting food with Thai/ Chinese overtones. Well situated. Lots of service promised in welcome speech, but not necessarily anyone to provide it when you wanted it. Bar often limited to room charging — cash not available, which was suitable for everyone in our group.

Really charming semi — deluxe hotel with most attentive personnel. Pet dog accepted though only, it seems, in the wooden chalet — style section which can be, like all wooden buildings, disturbingly noisy if you have fellow residents staying up late or rising before dawn. Lovely swimming pool, elegant breakfast room and a quite reasonable grand piano to play. Breakfast good (but nothing cooked —? unless asked? ) and pleasant restaurant attached — elaborate and expensive menu. Unusual hotel with comfortable atmosphere. In the very centre of small town with spectacular ramparts of mountains and glaciers all round.

We visited in the summer when the hotel was very quiet (strange vibe in such a large hotel) and there appeared to be limited staff. Rooms ok — large, but a little soul-less and bathrooms strangely laid out (toilet stopping for from opening properly). Wifi didn't work properly in our room. I think it would be different in winter when fully booked and more lively. Beautiful views from most parts of the hotel and an outdoor terrace for meals/drinks. It's a shame that you have to pay to use the sauna when many other hotels offer this for free.

Marvelous view on the mountains, a large 2 room apartment for the family, clean and tidy, very friendly staff, and an elegant breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

Apartments are awesome and very spacious. Super friendly staff. Awesome location. Great parking. Close to grocery store and mountain. Not a bad thing to day about this place.

Wooden floors in the rooms are not soundproofed! Very disappointed as the hotel looked so welcoming on our arrival but seems understaffed in the dining room.

This hotel is located in a strategic place with wonderful views of the mountains. Words cannot explain the view you have to be there to experience it. The owner and all staff are very friendly yet professional and always on hand to see if anything more can be done to make your stay comfortable.
