We were there for a week. We had the best time. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic and you have a different Indian cuisine every day for breakfast. The owner is very humble and willing to fulfill all relevant requests. Employees are also very helpful. Felt at home.

Delicious food, best senric view and cordial staff. Owner Mr. Rupinder Singh is very gentle and kind personally.

Visited India Village a couple of days back for 2 nights. The rooms were spacious, airy and yes, with a breathtaking lake view. The owners take keen interest in day to day functioning and it clearly reflects everywhere. The restaurant serves rich and delicious Indian food. The close proximity to HarderKulm, Casino, old town and Interlaken Ost station makes it more lucrative. Absolutely enjoyed the lake side walk which culminates directly into the backyard of the hotel. If u are visiting Interlaken, this is the place to be!

It was really nice to visit the place… nice owners… nice environment… and yes the love which was free and soo much.

Excellent customer service, delicious Indian food, amazing view of mountains, clean rooms. It's very quiet, serene place with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Interlaken, Switzerland.

We visited this pleasant restaurant whilst on a family trip to Interlaken. The quality of the food was amongst the best we had experienced among all the other restaurant we had visited. Amazing service, great quality of food and the manager was a great host.

I liked staying in India Village. Indian food lovers should stay. Room service is very good. I got impressed the way of receiving, asking food quality, taste and giving send off from the guest house to station. Definitely I would recommend my friends.

Shift service at the break fast way. My baby is three years old and she is not a social person to come and sit in dinning area to eat. Requested staff and the Indian lady owner refused for couple of breads to be taken to the room and then she said we don’t allow break fast to the rooms and explained her the situation of my baby and suggested by the staff and the owner let her die if she doesn’t eat the break fast and she got a baby boy too. Let karma teach her. Was on work, but definitely will not recommend anyone to this India village Interlaken. Her kid was playing in the restaurant when I entered. How this is professional way of handling a restaurant where you got other guests having break fast.

Best Regards to India Village, The food is just amazing and has Authentic Indian Taste. Incredible Staff, very friendly and Kind. The owner of the restaurant is one of the best human I have ever met. It was our first day in Interlaken and we reached to this restaurant late at 11:30 pm when they were almost shutting down the lights. But the owner of the restaurant and the staff were so kind that they took our order and cooked for us an amazing food and waited for us to finish our meal. I was with my wife, hence the owner himself got his car and dropped us back to our Hotel late in the night. Thank you Paaji for the memorable service and going out of your box to serve us.

For a place to stay for a few night it was not bad at all. They were super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! The rooms are a little older. They had fans in the room and the locations was wonderful! it was worth it when you consider the customer service and how helpful everyone was at this location.

Our room looked and smelt great (the lavender scent in the room was super relaxing considering we returned tired after a whole day roaming around and exploring the city). Most of us Indians are super demanding when it comes to desi food and the staff did their best to ensure that the customers had their way and it showed.

I stayed there for 5days tht were very nice. I just felt like its a true home away from home.

Not a good Hotel. The rooms look like staff quarters. The rooms are quite small and can accompany a max of 3 persons. Quite expensive restaurant with limited and time consuming service.

Awesome place. Felt like being in India in this Mountain View/India Village. Owner Mr Ravinder Singh and family own and run this place as their own home. Personal touch in each service is clearly visible. Food is simply too good. Rooms are very spacious compared to any hotel in Switzerland. Excellent for families with kids. Loved the place and people running it.

Very nice place for great indian food in Interlaken, Swiss. The owner himself plays a big role in cooking and making sure the customer service is fabulous. The weather wasn’t great the day we visited this place so the owner opted to drop us back to our hotel In his car :) would definitely go again.

Lovely place. If you are indian, ensure to demand for dishes to be made with spice and flavor level to Indian level. Channa chat is excellent, don’t miss it. Bon appetite ✌

The most delicious and authentic homemade Indian food you'll ever enjoy! The service was excellent by Zahir Khan. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for more the next day and it was consistently just as yummy as the day before! It's hidden away from the main road but most definitely well worth a nice walk along the river to get there! Excellent Indian food… a hidden gem!

Such a wonderful place, beautiful location and helpful staff, allowed us to check in early and they are very kind. I am sure everyone would love the panoramic views from bedroom window. Snow capped mountains and beautiful blue green lake just outside the window of your room.

The Guest House is good and clean, room was big enough. Guest house is located near the lake is about 10-15 mins walking from the Ost station. Restaurant food is delicious and the staff is very helpful and polite. The restaurant timings can be extended a bit, the kitchen is open till 9. Deducted 1 star for reception service opens at 10. We arrived at around 1PM and there was no one at the reception. Another thing that can be added is a free pick up & drop service to the station as it gets a bit difficult if you have enough luggage with you.

Good budget option to get lake view. Especially for indian food lovers.

Its been a pleasant stay in india village guesthouse interlaken… its a home away from home. The chef here is awesome, we requested for jain meals and he made it possible that we get it. And I assure that its really tasty as well. thanks for the jain meal…

Walking distance from Interlaken OST, Yash Chopra statue and Harder Klum station. Lovely to walk next to the water any time of the day. Superb food. Homely rooms. Complimentary breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Well deserved 5 stars.

A good place in Interlaken who wish to have desi food. Bathroom are not good. Staff and workers are polite and good.

Top. Very tasty and authentic dishes. Loved the curry dishes with nan. The ambience was so good. Very friendly staff and service. Everything was ok except the price. It is little expensive but value for money. Highly recommended.

The location was good just 10 min walk from interlaken ost (however can be tough with luggage) rooms were very clean and well maintained. Food was good and quite reasonable than most in Switzerland. My only wish is that the staff should be a bit more friendly and welcoming. Breakfast can definitely be improved. But none the less I would definitely recommend this place.

Good place if you like to have Indian food in Interlaken Switzerland. Bit on costlier side but that's how everything is in Switzerland. Harder Kulm starting point is walking distance. Walking distance from Interlaken OST (if you are carrying less luggage)

We have stayed there for 3 days. It is near to that the harder kulm banhof. Good choice if you are checking for budget hotels. Breakfast is included for us and it was very good as we can find indian tiffins in the buffet.

We loved the food here. Prices were in line with other restaurants. Tandoori roti was a little less like the roti we knew but rest was nice. We were the last diners and it was very late around 11:00PM. The owner was so generous to offer us to drop at the hotel. Very happy with service also.

This place has never disappointed us. Our favourite Indian restaurant in Interlaken. This year (2017) they are open only from 3pm. Unaware of this change we landed today at 1pm but to our pleasant surprise they served us with a smile. Awesome isn't it. Food is delicious, especially the Biryani and Butter Milk.

Travelled to Interlaken with parents; they were visiting Europe for the first time and looking for a hearty Indian meal. We found India Village after reading reviews and we weren't disappointed! Food was tasteful and fresh, not to miss the beautiful view we had while relishing our meal. Most of all, the owners are one of the nicest people we met on this trip. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and even dropped us back to our hotel. Highly recommended while you are holidaying in Interlaken!

Ambient, Food and services are excellent. Normally I don't give feedback but this restaurant is worth getting 5 rating. Although it is 10-15 min walk away from train station but you will enjoy walking near canal connecting Thun and brienz lakes. Those who thinks this is costly restaurant can go and try typical Italian or Swiss food where u will pay handsome money for food you don't like much. At the end I would say if you want to have traditional Punjabi food with smokey test this restaurant is for you. And you will get warm welcome as a compliment from it's owner.

It's a very nice experience to stay in this hotel during our Switzerland trip. Few reasons are : 1) Very nice and friendly staff.
2) Excellent view from the hotel.
3) Mind blowing breakfast.
4) Tasty Lunch and dinner.
5) Nice, clean, spacious, cosy rooms.
6) Awesome Room Service.
7) Though it's very close to Railway station but still if you want Pickup n drop, it's available at a very nominal cost.
8) Big thanks to Mrs Menka Sharma n Mr. Rupinder Singh for their warm welcome and for making our stay really memorable. Always we felt, it's a home away from home.

India village has hotel and restaurant. First the location was not as near as it is mentioned in the website it is 25-30 mins walk to Interlaken OST station. And the restaurant food is really tasty but it is costly.

Its beautiful location and near to station nice lake view and food is awesome.

This one was the best meal I have ever had and I went in the evening. Inspite of busy evening, the Service was great and I felt good and comfortable. The ambience and Music was excellent. I would go again and definitely recommend it to others.

Both the location and the environment was good. Compared to the other Indian restaurants in Interlaken this was the nearest! Very Good service. The staff was easily approchable. They served with a smile every time. We even had a drop arranged to Interlaken station since it was dark and deserted in night! Our leftovers were packed for take away on request! The food was very much tasty and worth the money. We enjoyed the Dining experience there.

Positive Things: 1. Excellent interior in the hotel. Very selective furniture and all other interior. 2. Nice view from hotel. 3. Excellent Indian cuisine. Negetive things: 1. Absolutely unfriendly staff. 2. Very unprofessional and untrained staff. Very new in service industry. 3. No 24*7 service desk. Desk opens after 9 AM. 3. No pick and drop to Interlaken station being its a walk of 15-20 minutes. 4. As we were travelling with a baby, we wanted to prepare some food only for her. We were not allowed to do so and no other solution provided to us saying its a Europian Standard. We had a tough time with baby. Never had such experience in europe or africa. 5. Though indian food is excellent quantity is very less on top of it Kitchen staff change the order without any information to customer. For eg. We received 2 different types of Laccha Paratha on 2 different days. Also they served "Chicken tikka masala" being ordered "Butter chicken".
