A part of South Africa's history in Switzerland — President Paul Kruger, last president of the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek, who died in self-imposed exile in Clarens on July 14, 1904. The owner kept the Kruger room and name of the villa after purchasing it … it is no longer a museum maintained by the South African government. The B&B will re-open the Swiss summer of 2017.
