The location is perfect, it’s clean the room isn’t large but comfortable, breakfast is excellent, good restaurant and bar in the complex and very friendly staffs.

Anxious atmosphere the children were scared because the rooms were very dirty as well as the bath and bed linen.
Noise Bcp also.
Too bad because the staff is very nice and welcoming.

After an overnight at the hotel I forgot my Dior cosmetic purse in the room. The same day after couple of hours when I arrived to my next destination I called them to claim my missing purse but they informed me that nobody found anything in the room after my departure. I was in hospitality industry 23 years and I know after the check out only housekeeping department has access to the rooms. The only way of disappearing forgotten items is to be taken by housekeeping staff. When I mentioned that to the reception they promised that they will take an action on my issue and the manager will call me back to inform me accordingly. I'm posting the whole incidence because till now after 24hours nobody tried to reach me and I feel like they want to avoid compensating my inconvenience.

The hotel staff is very supportive. The rooms are clean and beautiful. There are so many facilities given to us like yummy breakfast public transport free passes and many more my husband and my kids don’t want to leave this place hope to visit as soon as possible.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the train station and from Leman. Lovely place for a short stop in Geneva.

Your employees at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Not being from the area, they answered all questions, helped with train schedule, and even made a dinner reservation for us at a fabulous restaurant. Your hotel is very nice, but your employees made our experience GREAT!

I stayed in the old section of the hotel (which I later found out). It was horrible. First of all there was no HOT water in the bathroom and in the event there was hot water it would get freezing cold every few seconds. Upon calling reception a man would come up and say just run the water it will get hot and sometimes we ran it for over 10 mins and nothing happens. It’s basically relied on luck. The staff do not walk around the old section. Firstly the hallway is filthy. You can see the carpets are not cleaned or sweeped. Secondly I place the breakfast in the room card order on the door at night before 5 am as they Stated and for two days and I had to call on each day to ask why it was not taken. They made it seem like it was my fault. Which led to me having to wait hours to get breakfast. The cleaning ladies don’t clean this section well or remove dirty mugs from the rooms. The whole experience was horrible. I had to keep calling housekeeping to ask for extra towels (as I wasn’t given any big ones) and tissues and for plate removals. Now it was just horrible. Keep in mind I stayed on the new section of the hotel and the service that side was very good. So if you are allocated rooms in the 900’s do not accept. Those are all on the old section and trust me you will be neglected and ignored and forgotten.

Convenient for family (good for those looking for two connecting suites). Nice lobby. Breakfast restaurant is not big (disadvantage). Major issue I had is that cleaning up our rooms was not that good. In general I like staying in it when I bring my family to Geneva. Of course very close to main station and other nearby services.

The hotel is decent, but with cleanliness — so-so.

Upon arriving and checking in to the hotel, things were going great. We went up to our rooms to be sent back to the lobby because the rooms were not ready. After waiting for a little while we proceeded to ask the front desk what the ETA was. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the top floor suite rooms which were magnificent, and quite expansive. The initial error of our first rooms not being ready on time was made up quite sufficiently with the upgrade. Dinner at Le Bistro was fantastic as well. The Perch from Lac Le Mans was outstanding as was the service. Thank you Hotel Royal for the wonderful staff and service. We look forward to seeing you in the future. I give 4 stars because of the initial mistake of the rooms not being ready but this was made up for very much so. Would Highly recommend to other international travelers.

A 4 star hotel that's been in the years.
The room was cozy, the bed comfortable. There was also a pillow in the cupboard, I thought was very good, you don't have to ask.
The bathroom would need a renovation as a matter of urgency, there is already mold in the silicone.
The breakfast was very small but sufficient, you could buy some additional food.
The waiters were told that they would rather have stayed at home.
Verdict: For one night Ok, longer but prefer another hotel.

A superb Hotel located 10 minutes from the lake, 2 minutes from the train station. No noise in the room despite its position. Small stay in love its perfect reception of good information and the team show a great professionalism. The meal in one of the hotel restaurant its just delicious. The staff is constantly at your service, I would recommend this hotel. Beautiful frame decoration has both old and felt. And pleasant surprise on our arrival we were on classifying because of the person's can in the hotel.

Stayed for several nights in a standard twin room for a conference. Some parts in the room (closet doors, lights, etc. ) looked aged a bit, but wasn't a problem to use. The room was cleaned neatly everynight, and bath tub & shower worked nice. We took a over night flight and arrived early on the check_in day quite exhausted, but they arranged us a room quickly.

Staff exceptional in every respect — helpful, welcoming and charming. They all seem to really care. Ground floor — very comfortable and attractive, as to be expected from an upmarket city-centre hotel. Bedroom (the executive one that we were impressively upgraded to on arrival) — spacious but a bit tired, badly needs updating. The lighting is way, way below standard. Breakfast — perfectly acceptable EXCEPT your insulting policy of presenting the bill for signature the moment I sat down. Your manager Valerie dealt outstandingly with the 'observations' I made to her about this. Value for Money — Room and breakfast price good value, and perfectly reasonable Restaurant (particularly) and Bar both overpriced for what's on offer.

Tacky extravagance. It's a bit like the average American's idea of "old European charm". That's not necessarily a bad thing. But definitely not modern. That said, very comfortable hotel, clean, decent amenities and very central. Steps away from the central train station and minutes walk to the lake. Very good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.

Pay for a bed of marriage and I put two singles and I find very bad.

Great location with nice amenities. Ask for a metro pass if they don’t give you one on check in. You can ride the train straight to the UN or walk a few blocks to the lake then across to old Geneva. There is a robust grocery store next door for a snack or chocolate to take home. The restaurant in the lobby is decent. Stay away from the Cesar salad unless you are really into chicken and avoid lettuce. Rooms are cute.

Great location. Two mins walk to train station and 5 min walk to the water front. We had a lovely box spring memory foam bed. Was ideal.

Nice hotel, all services correspond to their 4 stars, helpful staff, good breakfast: buffet plus some extras from a menu, nice cozy rooms, but poor lightning. They have a bar and quite a good restaurant (closed on Sundays), so staying there was nice experience.

Top level Room! Small flat DS sofa the room too hard and TV too low the shot when the couch is lengthened the backrest hampered the view.

Its not a 4 star hotel as positioned. It's quite old and not that clean. Geneva rail station is too close, so you can hear trains early in the morning. Fitness room is supersmall and in the morning it's full. And prices are quite high. Though breakfast and Wi-Fi are good.

It was in a fantastic location 5 min walk from the train station and a tram stop outside not far from lake Geneva the hotel in my view was not worth a 4 star but perhaps a 3 star.

Rooms were well appointed and adequately but not overly spacious. Food at Le Buffet was good. Everything at usual Geneva prices.

Lovely hotel, very clean and staff very helpful. Buffet breakfast is limited for price, but the croissants are lovely. Food was very good in the Bistro for dinner and service is amazing. Bar drinks are expensive but then that's Geneva! Would definitely return here.

A Super Central hotel and COM good connections. Estilisme very classic and vintage, in line with the city. Standard Rooms a little fair but the superiors are very very cute, and spacious, with all the facilities. All renovated, breakfast not bad but little variety in my opinion but the quality very good. It's very clean. The downside in my opinion is that on the first floor there are still smoking rooms.

Hotel with nice rooms and nice services in general.
Restaurant and Bar are nice and allow to relax in a lovely setting.
Breakfast was greatly reduced in quality and quantity. This is the weak point of the establishment.
Gym, sauna and hammam are appreciated, when the hammam is not out of service.
Parking Service available and indispensable if you come by car.
Otherwise a tram station is right outside the hotel.

One is A2ccueilli personally, the room is large and gives the opposite of the street and drinks and meals hold to the level of the reception.

Everage hotel but good location. Shower very inconveint if you are not a handicap. Tv did not work and was not fixed even after requesting. Breakfast is ok.

Stayed in the hotel during first week of Aug 2017, this hotel is rated as 4 star hotel but a 1 star in service, Air conditioning was not working even after changing rooms at the end they offered a fan! bed sheets are not changed unless we ask for. At check-out time they made a mistake in the bill and charged us 1000 Swiss F extra. Very bad experiences in general, the one star that I gave is due to a very helpful person works at the hotel (Carlos)

Welcome always so disappointing! Poorly trained staff, sometimes on the borderline of rudeness.
Breakfast at 30CHF so poor that you will be craving 30 min after.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and right on a streetcar line. The Jr suite that we had was gorgeous. The whole hotel was clean and modernly decorated. The staff were excellent and eager to help in any way possible. We had breakfast in the bistro which was a very limited buffet but the food was good. We would definitely stay here again.

Whoever that says this is a four star hotel is lying. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. Avoid like plague. Here is why: 1. You do not have a one-stop shop. When you call the reception for whatever reason, it's always somebody else's responsibility to help you, and it is you that should call that person. The reception desk's only role is being terse and curt. 2. The table in my room was infested with little bugs. But they didn't offer to change my room. They said it's because of the minibar and the warm day out. 3. The entire hallway stinks of high humidity. 4. You will have your worst shower experience in this hotel.

Very well at all point of view, except for the proximity of the station slightly noisy even at night, but which is convenient to come to the hotel on foot in 10 minutes. The tub does not hanging from the shower head over the head for a normal shower.

It is an expensive hotel as everything in Switzerland, worse the location is very good and very nice service. I recommend it.

Hotel is small. But the four stars of the time and the door is a bit inconsistent.

Unfortunately, the service is not very good:at 7 am yelling maids (cute they share news, discuss the TV series), doing cleaning, asked to fix a safety Deposit box in the room — not made, 2 times for 30 minutes waiting for a taxi caused by the porter, gone, never дождавшись. Номер small, well did, curtains грязные. Отель is a cheap district of the city centre, lake, water — at least a half hour пешком. Основные living in August — numerous Arab family. Breakfast is decent, did not. We are going to stop in it do not plan.
