The place where Alternative Mountain is located is just beautiful. The concept of the hotel is very very successful. This is the second time I've organized a yoga retreat here and everyone was thrilled. Between the modern and rustic rooms at the same time, laid out with great taste, the yoga room with its special atmosphere and its incredible views of the valley and the peaks around, the delicious food and Alain and his team were to the care of us throughout our stay, we spent some time in paradise. Thank you Benoît, for creating this place, thank you to the team for your kindness.

Je m'attendais à passer deux jours formidables, et ce fut le cas! Cela ne peut être possible que si plusieurs facteurs se trouvent réunis au même endroit au même moment: des "facilitators" de grande qualité, un environnement propice à la réflexion, un orateur capable de partager et érudit, des participants impliqués… et de bons mets (surtout le petit-déjeuner)! et tout était là… mille mercis encore!

Montagne Alternative offers an idyllic setting with simple but beautiful rooms with spectacular mountain views. From the moment of our arrival the service was truly top-notch, and the entire staff was very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful, offering fresh juices and amazing local breads, fantastic coffee (very important to me! ), fruit, cheese etc. Overall though, we were quite disappointed with the 2 dinners that we ate there (1 set menu and 1 a la carte). Food was obviously of good quality, but preparation did not meet our expectations. The chicken was over-cooked, for example, and the dessert was quite bland. My previous experience there for dinner meals was much better — maybe just bad luck this time. Nonetheless, we will return and would highly recommend this special place to others.

-Facilities and setting excellent -Service Satisfactory, for the price you charge, I would expect better service. During dinner our order was not taken and our starter was delivered, but we did not ask for it. It was only when we were half way through dinner that we heard the waitress name Fondu and other dishes to another table : (We ordered a bottle of white wine, but no ice bucket was provided, so the wine was warm by the end of dinner. -Dinner options were limited (first night, was only one starter, one main and one dessert), Could have more vegetarian options for Dinner/Breakfast -I asked for a Gin Tonic, the lady behind the bar did not know how to make it and there was no ice, so I decided to not have one. -I would have liked to have a massage, but felt that 150chf was rather expensive so I opted to not have one.

Fantastic location and stylish rooms with incredible views.

Commeire is a small hamlet which was able to keep the original structure of the buildings but by integrating modernity. This gives a whole successful.
However, this is not what struck me the most hit this spot. What struck me, is that it is magic, this village. He breathes peace, well-being, and the desire to return to his roots, in contact with nature. We're very close to civilization (you can see the road to the great St. Bernard) but we forget very quickly, thanks to the Majesty of the mountains. A place to visit.

Beautiful views along with stunning architecture.

Top place! Fantastic views in one of Switzerland's most scenic alpine locations. The accommodation is first rate. Very traditional Swiss village architecture with spectacular views of the Alps and a short drive to Italy as a day trip. Also nearby is St. Bernard the homeplace of the St. Bernard breed.
