I have been staying at Ripan, the “hostel” part of the hotel twice now. Once in July 2021 and then for Xmas 2021 and I will be coming back. It’s authentic and friendly and with an amazing view over the lake, Ottsjön and the mountains. It is beautiful in both summer and winter. Ripan, the hostel part is a cosy little house with 8 individual bunk bed rooms with shower and toilet and then a shared double kitchen, dining area and couch/chill area. I love it. Right next to the hotel is a convenient store and a gas pump and there’s just a 5 min walk down to the lake where you can either go for a swim or walk on ice depending on the season. If you have breakfast included, you will be enjoying this from the restaurant room overlooking the lake and mountains.
