This is a boutique hotel. If you are looking for some tranquility, quietness, time by yourself then this is the hotel for you. Only for those who are 18+ also mostly for couples or a mother & daughter or two sisters because the rooms only has queen bed, no double bed separated. When u @ the hotel, you feel like you are on the Brazilian Amazon. They have cabins with and without balcony. I will suggest balcony since that was my experience. The hotel is on the Estate of Boucan, own by an English man from England. You wake up to the site of the famous Piton mounting. The hotel has an infinity pool, restaurant, & Spa surrounded by birds, lizards, and many greens. You will listing to the crickets sing @ nights and early morning. However, the hotel does not have a beach since it's on top of the mountain. But they have shuttle to take u to the beach. You can get a tour of the coco farm and participate in the process of making coco. This hotel is very close to the dorm volcano and the sulfur spa and museum related to the volcano.

Excellent! Amazing food in plentiful quantities at the restaurant. If you are staying the accommodation is luxurious and shared with nature. If you want to keep the birds out you just shut the room shutters. The bean to bar experience is particularly good fun whilst you are here.

Unbelievably slow service. We showed up at 7:55 for our 8:00 reservation. We weren't seated until close to 9:00. That's pretty terrible. And they were not the slightest bit apologetic, either. Food was decent, but I don't care. Having to wait an hour to eat put me in a bad mood. : — (

For the love of chocolate if you want a nice evening this is the best during the day you have amazing views of the Pitons a must when in St. Lucia.

We came here on an excursion from a cruise ship. We made a chocolate bar, which is much harder work than any of us were expecting! Then, we had a lovely lunch on the terrace with a stunning view of the Pitons. You can buy Unbelievably expensive cocktails here… We didn't bother, but we did buy some chocolate… For a tenner per bar! … It was proper chocolate though.

I came here for lunch twice because the place is so good. Definitely try their chocolate lava cake!

A restaurant of more than usual interest… part of a big cocoa plantation. Reportedly supplying Hershey Chicolate Cp. Gives a nice experience, what you came to this rainforest for. Pleasant staff. Not crowded. Decent live music.

Very intimate. Amazing staff. It's good to point the fact that they don't have TV's. It could be trouble if you have something special to what like we had the futebol semifinals with our team. Well, we got over it. Great nature interaction.

Not impressed by the 1hr 10 minutes delay before getting seated. No explanation or apology given, nor any recompense. Food pretty good though overpriced for the quality (seems like that's not uncommon over here) nice ambience. Great chocolate. Sweet staff. Not coming back though!

Great bar tender. Awesome drink recommendations. Service a little more lax than in the states like I’m use too but the food was great. And would defiantly go back and or recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Excellent hotel and restaurant. Stayed here for 7 nights. Restaurant was best we tried locally, tasty and healthy. Tree to bean and Tree to bar tours very interesting. Nice walks around the estate including to the sulphur springs. Whole place has a great vibe being both luxurious and relaxed. Lack of beach and (free transfer though) air conditioned rooms (didn’t bother us) might put some people off but rest more than makes up for it.

The restaurant is lovely. Great service and excellent chocolate based dishes.

A really good avant-garde culinary exploration. Traditional dishes prepared with a twist. Oh and the view is magnificent.

One of the best restaurants we went to on the island. Also did the tree to bean and bean to bar tours which were extremely educational and interesting.

We visited Boucan restaurant for breakfast and dinner almost every day during our stay at Sugar Beach in Saint Lucia which had the worst breakfast ever. Review for the breakfast: Definitely a 5 star breakfast. You have two options: full breakfast for $25 (includes fruit plate, toast with multiple jams and chocolate spread, eggs with bacon and veggies, banana muffins, coffee, juice and hot chocolate) and light breakfast (includes fruit plate, yogurt with chocolate granola, toast with multiple jams and chocolate spread, banana muffin, coffee, juice and hot chocolate). Food is absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. Review for the dinner: 5 stars for the drink and more like 3.5 / 4 stars for food. We ordered tuna tartar, mahi mahi fish and curry chicken. We were not impressed by the dinner menu and food we ordered. Though drinks were amazing. All staff was amazing and one of the staff members gave us a free tour of their property and free truffles.

Incredible chocolate tour and gorgeous bar/restaurant. Solid food and drinks. Very friendly staff except for the women Manning the concierge desk. Consistantly abrasive and cold.

We had an amazing dinner. The tuna steak was fantastic. The view is really nice as well but make sure to come early otherwise you will not see the piton. Service was friendly too.

Beautiful setting. Staff are very helpful; they even cut fresh aloe for my husband's sunburn. Be aware if you're sensitive to the smell of sulphur — — the drive-in volcano is a few minutes' drive away. But so is Sugar Beach, which has some of the best off-beach snorkeling on the island. The rooms are spacious and open to the outdoors, so use the provided bug spray, you'll need it. We were visited inside the room by a frog, several geckos and a handful of birds. It was amazing to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the jungle. Definitely worth a stay!

Great dinner from start to finish. We arrive early to have a drink and watch the sunset. They were very welcoming, and the view, with Grand Piton right next to the sunset was spectacular. Cocktails, appetizers, mains, and of course desserts were all wonderful. We all ordered different items, and loved them all. Service was very friendly, and attentive. Restaurant has a very nice tropical atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

You come here for the beautiful views of the Pitons, really amazing. The food was very good but also very expensive (average value). Staff was friendly and efficient. They certainly don't joke about the excellent chocolate, the desert and truffles we had after the meal were excellent.

Terrible Terrible Terrible! We stayed at Hotel Chocolat for 4 days/3 nights out of our 2 week honeymoon in St. Lucia. When we first arrived at Hotel Chocolat we were seated in the chairs near the bar in Boucan while they worked out all of our paperwork. We sat there for over 30 minutes and no one ever asked us for a drink. We sat there wondering where the people were. I mean this place was deserted! My husband started to tell me how they made him pay for the 3 nights in full when booking rather than the usual 1/2 down deposit. We should have stuck to our gut feeling and left then. This is a hotel not a resort! Make sure you realize this going into it. And don't expect service like a nice hotel either. This isn't the Ritz or the Hilton. No one is friendly and no one will help you. No one will even clean your linens or towels. That's right no one cleaned our bedding for 3 nights. How I know this? Because mosquitos are all over that place because you are on a Chocolate field and the front pond near the shacks is sitting water and the water pot feature doesn't work. Now we paid for the large home suite on top of the hill. This will run you between $800-$1, 200 a night. It was neat inside but you cannot close this off at night. (Posted pic on page. ) The whole front of the house is open and the slider doors don't even close off. Sure you have a mosquito net around your bed but this home is built up on stilts and the floor is like a deck.

Whilst on honeymoon we visited the hotel chocolat plantation for the bean to bar tour and lunch in the restaurant. We were guided by Cuthbert Monroque who was SO friendly and awesome! He knew everything about chocolate! We learnt about the cocoa pod, picking our own off the trees. We then saw the beans being processed, fermented and drying in the sun. We then grafted our own cocoa plant for use in their guest cocoa tree orchard. After this we had the chance to make our own bar of chocolate — grinding down the cocoa nibs with cocoa butter in a mortar and pestle. This was hard work but very fun! We then took away a bar we had made ourselves and a bar processed by a machine which was much smoother — both delicious though. Afterwards we had lunch in the restaurant. I had a cacao bellini, cacao ravioli and then the bean to boucan tasting plate which was amazing. Really nice surroundings too — this was one of our favourite days of the honeymoon. A must for any chocolate lovers.

Great food and staff jus need to b on their guess a lil more.
