Airport City Hotel Hotel

Okay-ish place for the quick stay before getting to your flight. They have a nice area around but the management can be a lot better. As told in other reviews we found our toilet to be leaking and not flushing — but was fixed immediately. The breakfast place was not that great — very basic breakfast. Fruits, eggs and bread. One big upside is the free airport transfer to and from the hotel. There are also specific places for chilling out like a reading area, working area etc. They claim to have taxi service but was not available when asked. There was no toiletries available with the room — be sure to take your personal set. The guys at the front desk are really helpful to guide you around the places with sights to see, transportation etc.

Avoid this hotel. I arrived late, was transfered to their new hotel which is not finished (a whole in the wall). Went back to the other hotel where there was no room. They quickly made a bed in a room that was not clean. Still they expected me to pay full price. Very poor service and customer care. Food not even good.

Good foods. Friendly staff. And had a good time.

— Meant to pick us up at the airport but they were not there and had to turn on phone data to call them multiple times and wait over 30 minutes for them to collect us — Early check-in charged over $100 without saying it — Early check-in was requested and they were so unorganised-bill was placed under someone else name and room — Pool tiles were EXTREMELY DANGEROUS — many cuts on feet and hands. Was unavoidable injury if in the pool-unacceptable (see photo uploaded) — No vegetarian options of food — Shower wasn't working properly-had to ask twice to fix it. Initially they stated it was because "long pipe line". After continuation of attempting to use it, got worse, barely any water coming out and they admitted it wasn't working. They then fixed the water however still was cold-unacceptable for the price being paid — We asked them to help us book online trains as wasn't working on our phones and they then told us not to and provided incorrect information about times. We attempted to inform them of the times we saw online and they said we were wrong — could of missed our train — They also said our only option to arrive at station was their taxi and was extremely overpriced.

Great little motel. For the price I thought it was perfect. Great ambience, really feel like u are in Sri Lanka. I arrived very late, 3 am but 3-4 staff were there, very friendly, clean room, it's the perfect place for an airport motel. Very close, about 3 km. Ask them to organise the free pickup I hadn't and it cost me 1500 rupees to get there by taxi. I had a hire car turn up in the morning and the motel staff were great, let me park it there and helped organise things. Was very happy with the place. well stayed here on the way out and room wasn't so good. But yeah this is a budget motel close to the airport, so it's convenient.

Giving 5 stars because of what you get for the price. They picked me up from the airport at 3am free of charge and we're very kind. The room I originally had, the AC did not work so they upgraded me to a nicer room at no charge. Breakfast in the morning was also tasty. Overall cute little place right by the airport. Also, they can exchange USD, EUR, and GBP to LKR at the front desk if you did not do so at the airport.

I only stayed for one night, but the staff was very helpful, picked me up from the airport, and helped me to arrange travel plans to the southern beaches. The room was clean and the bed was very soft. I would definitely stay here again.

How do they get so many mosquitoes into a windowless room? Steer clear of this place — there are better options out there.

The room is comfortable. Basic items are provided. The environment is tranquil and natural with home recoration. Staff is friendly. The hotel gives a feeling of quiet, nature and peace. Wifi was strong everywhere even in the room. The buffet breakfast is relatively simple. Not many choices. Swimming pool is kind of small. The hotel provides free shuttle to airport.

I booked a room here last minute and was very surprised how the hotel looked. It feels like a mini oasis even though close to the airport. It's very large, open, and has multiple stories so it seems to accommodate quite a lot. There a mini pool, spa, restaurant, and more on the hotel site — but keep in mind this is similar to a boutique hotel without the high class luxury. Honestly, perfect for the frequent budget to middle class traveler. Rooms are simple and the shower and toilet area are shared — typical for Asia area. But there's A/C, adaptable outlets, TV, free Wi-Fi, and very very friendly personnel. You will receive the best Sri Lankan hospitality here!

Actually not too bad really. My travel companions had a room that was a bit mouldy in places but mine was all right, if a little basic. There was a fridge, a ceiling fan and air conditioning, which all worked fine. The bed was acceptable. The grounds are reasonably pretty and there is a pool but realistically it is a place to spend one night before flying home. Best thing is that there is a free transfer to the airport, which is very useful.

Wonderful hotel & restaurant near bandaranayaka airport.

The windows haven't got sound isolation so all the night long I have to listen v8-v12 motorred cars racing through by the highway. Also my room had an electricity problem that solved by short circuit. So My key card was not necessary to use Electric power in the room.
