Top hotel and staff. Excellent breakfast.

The rooms was very basic, nothing special about it and cleaning was not that great. The floor always seemed a bit greasy. The hotel seemed lacking management, as the owner was not around to keep an eye on staff and the welfare of their guests.

Had a great lunch from their new snacks menu down on the beach under their gazebo.

Beautiful location, Lovely hosts, fabulous food. What more could you ask for.

Food is amazing. You've got to try their mixed platter. And then, there's the chicken curry, just to die for…

Wonderful place to stay. We have been there 4 or 5 times and plan to keep going back. Amazing staff. Can’t say enough about this place.

A very nice beach hotel near Bentota. The house has only 15 rooms but which are the bang. The rooms are very large, bright and all with terrace to the sea. The orientation is to the west, so that in the evening you can enjoy the fantastic sunsets from the private terrace. The stand is right in front of the house and there is service up to the couch. For anyone who is looking for peace and relaxation, the absolute right thing to do is.

Full marks from me for this well run and technically competent hotel. The ethos of the hotel and its services are “here for you just relax” extends through the staff who are well motivated and happy, nothing seems too much trouble. A great example of this is Breakfast time … you know how it is on holiday with set breakfast times after late nights.? Well not at the Whispering Palms! Food is almost 24*7. And formal breakfast ends at 11:00. Even if you are not resident here, good food a full bar and a beautifully clean swimming pool welcomes you if trolling the long beach of golden sand. All in all a grand place to relax.

We are regular visitors to this fabulous hotel located in a spot which is just paradise on Bentota beach. The rooms, pool and beachfront are absolutely gorgeous and the restaurant is simply excellent on a consistent basis. Special nights really are special here, we recently experienced the Valentine Evening and have previously been here for New Year, with the garden decked in fairy lights, great music and fabulous food, I really don't think you could ask for much more. Oh yes, and the staff, are always friendly, polite and eager to help in any way they can. If you are staying here you do need a tuk tuk for the short ride to the town, the buses stop right outside for adventures in either Galle or Colombo direction.

Lovely spot, soooo close to the beach. Large, very modern rooms. Gorgeous food. The place to watch the sun disappear over the horizon whilst sipping cocktail of the day. English owners friendly and often on site to offer advice on places to visit, including nearby turtle sanctuary. What's not to like!

We stayed here for 2 days and we'd got what we wanted. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast are big and tasty. The dinner was brilliant, the best curry platter on our trip. Staff seems great and helpful.

Beautiful Views and a very well maintained property.

Not very good they have no hospitality for the tourist guides.

Without TV, Internet is not very good.

One Star is too many.
If we have booked four Nights here, we have not stayed a full Hour. Absolutely unsanitary, dirty and moldy Baths. In Bed were foreign Hair, Shower mouldy and rusted, Sink very dirty, Cloister glasses very unclean and discolored.
We looked at four different Rooms and all looked absolutely the same dirty. In none of these did we want to stay. The Level is below a Hostel, but the Prices are like for a good four Star Hotel. Unfortunately, we had to look for something different In the short term.
Bail Has not been refunded. The Owners were not Willing.
The positive Reviews on any Platform are misleading and incomprehensible.

Great ambiance, good food, and very good service. Had dinner as outside guests and regretted not staying there as hotel guests.

Their seafood is quite good however their Sri Lankan breakfast was not too good, the string hoppers were quite dry and cold. The rooms were spacious, excellent beach front and pool. There is also bar should you choose to have a drink. Most of the staff members are quite friendly.

Been staying at an all inclusive hotel but needed a change from buffet food, searched trip advisor and found this just down the road from us, gluten free ✔ portions are big✔ service fabulous ✔ beach view✔✔ would definitely recommend this place I promise you won't be disappointed. M colley Essex.

We've only been eating here, but this was already worth walking there. The Sri Lanka Platter with a mix of some traditional food of the island looked very tasty and so it was. It was Dhal, Chicken and Fish Curry in addition to that potatoes and something like a Green Beans Curry. It's definitely a meal for two, so just order one and tell the waiter you want to share. We had 2 soda waters to the meal and paid 2300 rupees, approx 14€. It's easily reachable from the beach, you can't oversee it, when you look for a beige wall saying Whispering Palms Hotel. The Restaurant itself is on first floor and is very quiet. The staff is very friendly and speaks understandable English. Have a great time there.

Great hotel on a quiet very nice beach Comfortable rooms. The hotel meals are very good and the half board is a very good option. The pool is very nice absence the hotel has only 15 rooms its never busy.

When I went, it was a 4*. Drinking water, huge rooms, the sound of the ocean in the morning, great restaurant (had Breakfast/dinner). The owner — super. The only stores around, except that small tents within a 5-10 minute walk in the other direction. But when there are tuk-tuks, 7 min and we were in the supermarket in Bentota (hotel a little further Bentota). 10 minutes by car to Cherepanovo farm… Expensive, but if you need comfort — it is exactly the same hotel (I'm picky in terms of comfort)
