Stayed in this hotel 4 years ago — it was perfect. But when I came this year — I was very disappointed. Rooms are old, noone did ane repairs for all 4 years probably. Everything broken. Felt disgusting to stay in.

Good place to stay if you are on a business Trip to Colombo.

Awesome rooms and tasty food. Staff helpful and friendly. Reasonable price.

Freindly staff, visitor should come on the room not only in the lobby.

I chose SaiSea Hotel in Colombo via booking com for 2 adults + 2 child.
Period 21-25 January 2018
They charged extra USD 65 (approx) before check-in for kids accommodation without complementary breakfast,
Old building, Wi-Fi only in lobby and room service also requires to be improved.
As hotel charged payment (Visa Card) at the time of online booking (non refundable), this seems a trick to secure customer's Staff in person cooperative but hotel resources very limited. Any person may chose SaiSea Hotel, suggest to finalize later.

When call reception they can not speak Sinhalese or not even proper English. After getting the same information reception person could't do the booking. Then sinhala person spoke and he said in sinhala, if you want come, come if not get lost. Very bad place.

Comes with basic accommodation facilities for a reasonable price. You cant expect more than that for what is provided. But hotel is in a good location for tourists.

Great view of sea, had earthquake feelings while train passes. May all hotels have both on marine drive. I stayed a night only. Rooms have good space, but cleanness was not up to mark. Being cheaper (LK Rs. 6, 000 per night) worth money.

Had a very bad experience. The rates were upto par and the view from the hotel is great. Apart from this, there's nothing that stands out. They lock the hotel doors by 10pm and if you go around in the midnight, then you've to wake up the security and then he opens the door. Food is not available after 10pm. No visitors are allowed inside the hotel. I felt as if I was in a hostel. Rooms were ok. The bed linens were not clean. Morning breakfast was good but again if you wake up past 10am then nothing will be available except omlette or bread. You've to go out and grab something if you want to have something. But then the Indian food which we ordered wasn't great. The Wi-Fi is available only in the lobby. Overall, a below average experience. Was very disappointed.

Fine and did what it said on the tin. The local restaurant was very good.

Rooms are spacious. Perfect in terms of views from almost all the rooms. Lobby is well lighted and kund of open and spacious. I could not give 5 stars becox there is no swimming pool facility which is, I think, is a must in a hotel.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was very rude, their were ants all over our rooms, our towels were stained and the shower was moldy. Our room was so small (even though we paid the same amount as our family members who all got larger rooms) that when we opened our room door, it would not open all the way — it would hit a dresser. The bed was awful and I had a horrible night sleep tossing and turning. The location is terrible — nothing around and the train tracks are right beside it so you can hear and feel the train go by very frequently. I would not wish this hotel on my worst enemy!

We called them several times to confirm about lots of things before going there. For starters, about the Wi-Fi. They made sure that all the rooms can get Wi-Fi. But we asked them for the password and they said you can access to Wi-Fi in the lobby area only. The toilets are not cleaned properly. Also the MANAGER is very rude. Very unprofessional.

During last January we stayed a night. Location is good in front of beach. Staff was cooperative. Wifi facility only available in lobby area. Breakfast was very ordinary. Rooms were spacious.

It's just a staying place. Can get rooms in responsible price. Sea view rooms also available.

FOR A BUDGET HOTEL this place is delivers beyond expectations, I will definitely recommend this.

Rude at front desk. However other staff is friendly. Indian Breakfast is good. Sea view room is good Wifi only in reception.

Worst place I have ever stayed. This place is nowhere close to as it has advertised. Very rude receptionist, no customer service or no friendly welcome. We were helpless as they didn’t want to assist us. Ruined our holiday as it was too much stress to deal with bad hotel management. No parking, bad rooms bad bathrooms etc. Don’t ever recommend this place to anyone.

Staff to be kidding, by and large, quite friendly except the guy at the reception tried guest and rip you off. When you check in he wanted for the entire stay for the money in advance. When you check out, he wanted to again extra money, couldn't explain exactly what. And if you beschwärt about the known problem with the ants, then they bomb the room and you are not allowed to enter the room for the whole afternoon.

And a amazing place to stay in colombo. Its really loveable place to stay with your family.

I had stayed at Sai Sea City Hotel for two nights. The hotel is situated in a good location with walkable distance to Beach and close to Galle Road. The hotel is so pious, we have a small temple outside the hotel managed by Hotel.
The Staff are courteous and Good and straight management. I am definitely going to stay here next time also.

The hotel is located in front of the railway, the train during the 24 hours I have stayed I think passed enough times to feel it presence. Some people wouldn't mind others like myself would feel overwhelmed by the noise.
The cleanses of the hotel is not the best,
At the room is at the limit of the acceptable.
The bathroom was very old fashion deteriorated. They offered soap, shampoo, and other toiletries of very bad quality.
Would be better not to offer than offering something people cannot use. The TV was available in the room but only if we pay to have access to it.
The Wi-Fi was supposed to be accessible everywhere, however, upon my insistence it was resolve many hours later. In a positive tone the entire staff have been nice, helpful.
Always present trying to find solutions to the numerous inconvenience.

Location is most wonderful. Rooms and interiors are good. Facilities provided are better than the comparable hotels of this rate range. The staff members are very courteous. Breakfast is complimentary, a real good tasty food. Those who relish South Indian food must try. Overall experience was wonderful.

Value for money! Clean rooms with ambience atmosphere plus adjacent to the Indian Ocean. The whole hotel has the fastest Wifi connectivity all around. Room service is okay and the bell boys do speak English. Closeby to the Wellawatta Market and KFC, Barista, Pizza Hut are close by (500 mts). Overall, A good place to start your journey.

Good service and friendly staff. Rooms are just ok. With decent facilities.

Very expensive for the service provided. You 're granted only single Internet login per room (though we were 2 with 3 devices). Moreover Internet was not working anyway. All the room amenities are very cheap Chineese crap — could not secure one of the windows.

The best there is for the budget traveler! Great view, staff, rooms and excellent service. Will visit again for sure.
