This is our 3rd visit to this hotel it was great stay and we got same room overlooking lake and swimming pool, my family and I seriously enjoyed our stay, specially staffs are very friendly and professional very helpful, my baby wasn’t well one day front office manager Gayani and some other staffs organised taxi for us to go to hospital it was very kind of them, we will always come back to you guys, cinnamon lakeside is our 2nd home we we’re staying in other hotels in colombo but nothing like cinnamon lakeside, they go out of the way to help there are guests, Restuarent buffet B/Fast is amazing and we tried royal thai Resturent food was great, and staffs are always smiling and friendly, thank you so much for made our holiday so happy, really appreciated and highly recommend this hotel 🏨 specially thanks to Gayani front office manager.

Very poor service with flavors delivery as I ordered mutton Biriyani sawan today to be delivered by 11.30 am I just received it by 2.30 pm, no courtesy so call and inform about the delay, delivery guys not answering phones, if they many orders today they should inform at the time. Of order still 3 Hours delay is not acceptable form 5 star Hotel.

Cinnamon lakeside was one of the best place to recommend. However recently I went a through dissapointed service. I made an order on Sunday (07-11-2021), where I have set a time to be get it delivered on Tuesday (09-11-2021) at 4PM. I wanted to make someone surprised and suddenly these people surprised me by sending that order by 06:30PM.
Ruined all the plans and all day. They never informed me, untill I called them at around 5.30PM. Samething happen even to my brother, a week ago. Inorder to get rid of that I informed Gayan on monday to make it more comfortable. However nothing was sufficient and ruined the whole day.
I talked to madhawa and Anas (MGR).
I was asking them Good reason which acceptable, but they were speecheless. They called me an offered a compensation where I rejected. Because I'm not a person that do complaint on everything and get compensations. Anyway I will not recommend Cinnamon lakeside delivery service. Dissapointed.

I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Colombo Srilanka. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much. Online orders are unreliable! They don’t inform the customer of delays. They cannot even trace the order. I was so embarrassed with my guests!

Ordered a Biriyani Sawan and a Cake through the online website for my Birthday. The food was very fresh, well packed and the meal was absolutely delicious. Had a variety of side dishes with a great spread. Delivered the order on time didn’t need any follow ups. Highly professional and excellent service. Will recommend this great service to anyone. Keep it up.

We ordered food on 16th May 2021, around 10 am and it took more than 5 hours for them to send the food. Such a bad service lakeside. Didn’t expect this to happen. Their phone is busy too couldn’t contact them at all at one point and then staff keep telling reasons … such a bad service.

Ordered the eid buriyani with low expectations as I ordered it on the last minute (on the same day at around 10am). However the food was delicious and watalappan was simply superb even as a moor I have not tasted a watalappan that good! Kudos to the chef and the delivery team.!

I came to dine in at Royal Thai tonight and the service was absolutely disappointing. The two gentleman in the suits didn't care, mind you it was not that busy as well. We waited for 20 minutes to take the order. No one ever turned up to take it. We walked out and no one had the courtesy to ask. Extremly disappointing. Your patrons need to be more valued for even dining during times like this.

Really enjoyed the high tea I ordered through the delivery service. The menu was great with a variety of treats. The delivery was punctual and perfectly packed. A special thank you to Tharindu Perera for handling the order and overseeing it right through to delivery. I shall order more off the seasonal menu as well. Stay safe!

One of the best high tea places in Colombo. One platter is more than enough for two; very filling. It’s a balance combination of savory & sweets with tea or coffee. Worth the price. Since Cinnamon Lakeside hotel is the best hotel in Colombo City, there was planned to hold our wedding reception at Earls Court. Mr. Shanaka Samarakoon as Banquet Manager, gave a big support to us. His cooperation on this is much appreciated. When it’s starting from selecting wedding hall to end of wedding reception, he did a great job to make it successful together with us.
We have received good feedbacks from our guests recommending food, hotel and staff.

We had our engagement function on 12th of September 2019 at 8 degrees on the lake and it’s the best experience we’d till the date. All thanks to Mr. Shanaka, got the best menu selection with super delicious food with a big back support on each and every little thing of the function. And a big thank owed by the whole staff of 8 degrees on the lake who were really supportive till the end. Hope to have better days again with you guys and I highly recommend Cinnamon Lakeside for any kind of event. Thanks a lot once again!

I am a regular guest at the hotel, I usually visit the Seven Degrees North restaurant and bar after a long day at work, the ambience is really good and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced and they have been running a beverage discount promotion
for a long time. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to all my friends and others.

I stay at last Feb n enjoy 3 nights hear. Very co-operative staffs, better foods, rooms and services. It is located in prime location of City Colombo.

The Dining Room Buffet is one of a kind. Had many exotic stuff to try out. And the food is clean. The only bad thing I noticed is they are not accurate in labeling the food in the buffet. I have tried their chocolates, not impressed much. Overall, it is a safe place to dine in.

It was a good stay. However we had some concern about mold I wish I had reported it. My wife and I have a little bit of respiratory difficulty but recovering nicely without having to go to the hospital. I realized with such a large number reserving rooms there we may have gotten rooms that have not been rented it a long time. First and upwards of 500 delegates rented rooms. The staff was tremendously friendly and we greatly appreciate our stay in Sri Lanka.

Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo dinner buffets are recommended one. They had a good generous amount of dishes in their sunday night buffet. You can try lot of variety of dishes. My favourite is lamb and pork. They need to bit improve their dessert corner. Compare to other hotels their desserts are limited one.

The cinnamon lakeside was formerly called Tans Asia Hotel and lately it was brand under Cinnamon Hotel Chain which is managed by the John Keels group. The hotel has a fully equipped business center, library, and several bars. The swimming pool over looks to the Beare Lake and the land side of the Colombo City. The location has large spacious grades and car park outside with entrance from Slave Island. The staff is very friendly with hospitality in mind. There are several banquet halls for different functions. There are gift shops and valet parking, rent a car and entertainment services. It is a very popular meeting location for business class people. The rooms are very comfortable with all the services.

This is a beautiful place. I went there for a wedding. Didn't like the food that much. But loved the dessert they had. Specially the chocolate moose.

It's a nice place to chill. I love the sushi they serve. It's one of the best in town.

Good hospitality and the executive rooms have great view of the lake. The rooms have great looks. Pool is fantastic. Might need little improvement on the exteriors cause it seems little old.

Although I had some issues with the hotel but the management was very helpful and supportive in solving our problems. I wish the management and all the staff of the hotel all the best.

Nice hotel With friendly staffs. Main restaurant covers diverse tastes. Bell boys r nicest people in the world. But hotel is not much flexible about changing the rooms and space needs to be more alive! Little music maybe or some activities will not hurt anyone.

The check-in was problematic, the gentleman at the reception did not find the booking of our travel agency. When I was after 5min. Asked what was going on, I got some answer been mumbling we sat 20min on our chairs and on finding our booking (if that was the problem, we didn't explain what was happening) were finally involved 6 people.
The room was gloomy and smelled musty after old, humid clothes! We suspect a former smoking room. We had to let the sheets change because they stanked for smoke! The curtains were dirty and the tables dirty.
Not a very pleasant stay!

Can’t stop myself from writing this, one of the most friendly staff with excellent service levels and dedication to customer service who make you feel comfortable and just at home. Variety of food options, pool side bar, lounge… must appreciate the Awesome acoustic live band OHME at the 7 Degree Bar. Definitely a place to return again. Very good conference halls and cinnamon lakeside is the place for both business and relaxation.

I don't know where to start and where to end. I simply cannot put down in words my experiences at The Library. I am a member of The Library and a very frequent visitor of the hotel which makes me frequent The Library too. In the day time it is the most calm and peaceful place in Colombo to be at. When you're in The Library you loose all sense of the outside world. At night it takes a different turn. When you walk in the atmosphere gets your adrenaline pumping. I love and I say love because I really do love The Library. The food, drinks, super D. J. Music all make me feel I am blessed to be a member of such a place I feel safe to be in. All this is possible thanks to the wonderful staff. From the moment you walk in till the time you leave, you are taken care off. I have to say a big 'THANK YOU' to the staff who make it happen there. They are simply awesome. In my opinion it is "the" best place to be. No competitor could ever, ever take this one away from you! Nisha Jayamaha.

One of the best 5star hotels in Colombo. Great to have indoor as well as outdoor events. Food is also great. Best views from most rooms of the hotel. Pasty place is ideal to have a tasty treat at all times of the day.

One of the top 5 star hotels in Colombo. Situated on the side of the lake in Colombo so the views are great in this hotel. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor weddings or corporate functions. Access to a ferry is also available if you are looking for a different dining experience. Food is great here and staff also friendly. Parking space is bit limited compared to rest of the top hotels around the city.

It was such an awesome experience yesterday and I loved the dinner buffet very much. I recommend this place as the best out of all the five star buffets without any doubt and when you start eating the meal, you won't leave it without finishing it and the ingredients are so quality.

This is a beautiful hotel — — — comfortable and spacious. Service to the rooms is tops. Great views and amazing pool. My one suggestion — — black power points on black wall trim are impossible to find, even by feel and with a torch! After a couple of hours we found they are controlled from the bedside gadget which we thought was just a radio!. We laugh now, but the thought of some ceiling lights directly above the bed boring through our eyelids all night was a little disturbing. I would recommend this hotel so long as guests have the lights explained on arrival.

Last night (30/12/2017) I chose this hotel for dinner with 5 of my friends as this is regarded as one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka who claims to offer hygienic food. But the worst experience we had is finding a worm in the soup. We informed the manager &two of the staff about this without making a fuss coz there were so many people around. But they were deliberately neglecting & we had to stay for 2 hours starving for an answer. Even we had a pregnant lady also there. Such a ridiculous incident which shook us for hours & we'll never recommend this hotel to any of my knowns ever!

Cinnamon Lakeside has a boat where you can enjoy rides around the lake and have a night out with your loved ones. The politeness and the hospitality of the people who work at Cinnamon Lakeside is so very noticeable. Always wearing smiles in their faces making the stay a more pleasantable one. Shops to shop till your heart's desires. And restaurants to fill up all your cravings. Sweet swimming pool to swim away the stress. Rooms to feel free as birds to lay yourself on. Amazing … that's the only thing I have to say at the end.

Goodies pastry shop won't let you down. Great place to grab a quick bite. They have a nice range of cakes above 3k. I'd have other preferred places to eat cheesecake but definitely here's not the best. Chocolate mousse cake is a must try if you ever visit the place. Of course it's a 5 star hotel and you will get a 5 star service there.

Let me start with food, it's awesome. In my point of view the best food when compared with all luxurious hostels around Colombo. The experience can be more uplifted by trying the boat ride. Well, the boat is very unique for weddings. It's gorgeous. Other facilities are really good. The staff is really good and helpful. Always with a smile. Definitely can be recommended for anyone.

Good morning food at the restaurant, incorrectly assigned smoking room… unlivable.

I was given smoking room which smelt really bad as the windows do not open so there is no ventilation. I had to ask for room change and it took more than an hour to give me another one. Then at the reception they were not aware of the change. The rest is not bad.

Staff and manager irresponsible and highly disrespectful and despising for there customers. Two nights of continuous tile banging above our heads and no way to sleep … complaining did not work cause they don’t care… 48 hours of banging after midnight and on a Sunday … I had to threaten them by calling the police for them to stop … Yes the food is nice but it’s a hotel at first not a restaurant … checking in too slow, it took them one hour to check us in … half board was included and yet three staff members came to ask us our room number stating we are not eligible for diner, so embarrassing and unprofessional. It felt more like a youth hostel. Never again … Plenty of other better hotels around for the same price and MUCH BETTER SERVICE. Dont stay here.

During my vacation, mostly I went to cheers pub. One of the best places to spend some quality time with friends. Food is nice and customer service is incredible. Amazing pub, when I mean amazing it is brilliant the music and food is superb And gotta say the staff is super nice and has a great knowledge, but there was this kid named Manasa and he's amazing at suggesting things and would cheer you up with his amazing service and some sense of humour on the side of course!

Goodies: Monte Cristo is the best cake I've had at Goodies. Their cookies cookies are very tasty. One of the best places to hangout with friends. They have a wide variety of savories and awesome sweet stuff whcih are all amazing. The nutty brownies are so yummy and the blue berry cheese cake is awesome too.

Such A great place to feel & taste the Unique Ceylon Brand. In every corner, you will see a thing which is from the ceylon culture, even the Desk lamps are made from shape of Coconut Tree, the rooms has cinnamon sticks. That what tourists want to see. I've been to this hotel dozens of times. Rooms are very clean, the bed is very comfortable. Staff are so friendly. The lobby is a great place to meet friends or making business meetings, & at weekend nights you will definitely find a happy groom & bride after the wedding heading to their rooms. The swimming pool is so big. & the Gym too. Many restaurants in the hotel. You must try the Biriyani. The room service is so great. The only which I noticed the last time I've been to the hotel that the Mix Sea Food portion wasn't as before, they reduced the portion. But the price of meals in the hotel is much better than outside. in the basement, there are some shops which sells souvenirs and some Tshirts with so good prices, The best prices we got was from Dhulfiqar shop opposite the jewels shop.

Perhaps a bit of an update on the High Tea menu would be best since it seems to combine a few cheap quality bread item variations instead of adding more variety to the assortment of cocktail items it should be having. Used to be good but could do better. Goodies is a great place for cakes.
