It is a new establishment, just about a year old. So, it is still being developed. Has a very steep undeveloped driveway and steep flights of steps to the apartments. The apartment was very basic but clean and comfortable. It has a small balcony with a view of the valley and surrounding heights. No tv. I had to request for the standard coffee/tea as the containers were empty. The wireless communication phone to the reception was dead as it hadn't been charged and the supplied lantern was also discharged. The mosquito repellent unit had a broken plug. The mosquito net was most welcome. It is staffed by young men in their twenties who were very pleasant and most willing to help. With more planning, care and consideration, this place could be developed to serve that customer who just wants basic, comfortable, short-term accommodation. As it is presently, I don't believe it could be given any star rating.
Need a lot of improvements. 1) roads to get to the hotel is awful if you have luggages. Even tuk thk finds it hard. Though its close to Ella town and the railway station, its a very steep, bumpy, muddy road up. At night there is barely any lights up to the accomodation, so also take that into consideration. 2) rooms are not the typical hotel room you would expect. It's very "eco-friendly". You can hear all the things going on outside. Construction/ nature/ even next door guests noises. 3) Even though the staff were attentive, they wont willing to go beyond what was required. When we arrived, after dragging all the luggages up the muddy/incomplete road and trying to find the place in the midst of construction, they didnt offer to help put our bags up. When checking out, they said they cant help other than just ordering us tuk tuk to the main road. They had motercycle right there and they said there is nothing they could do. Overall I think there are better more convenient options to choose from in Ella. I chose this place cos the reviews said views were good, but I think there are plenty of other viewpoints that offer the same or better amazing views.

Lovely place to stay however the road that leads up is very steep. We were on backpacks so it was slightly easier to climb. The staff saw me climbing up and quickly offered to help me. The walk to the hotel did not bother us that much as we head out early in the morning and back late in the night, so we only had to climb the steep slope once a day. Breakfast was a disappointment so I would skip it if it’s not already included in your package (mine was not). Bathroom is nice and clean at a comfortable size.
