Great view and greaterer service.
Great room, spectacular view and great host (Suga). From Railway station walk along the railway (south) untill you see the big sign Ella Grand View on your left hand side (approx 10 minutes).

Nice little place to stay for an excellent price. Beautiful views over the mountains and waterfall. Guys who run it are incredibly nice and friendly and will help you out organising things/speak to transport if you've already booked it. Bit of a secluded location compared with the rest of Ella — basically walk back down the train track from Ella (Kandy direction) for about 10 mins and you will come across a clearing on your left with an old volleyball court and a yellow building, Grand View is next to the yellow building. We walked this way in night and mist and were a bit worried but you walk past loads of people walking in both directions. Bring a torch though! Also, don't worry about being on the track if you're train arrives in at night. You will have been on the last train in so won't have to move for trains.
