My colleague and I rented this location for some ten weeks for the fieldwork portion of our graduate degrees. This is a wonderful location, close to both Galle and Karapitiya, where we were working. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. There is a front gate that is locked at night, making the space feel even safer. The rooms also have locks, and keys are provided. There is an upstairs balcony that gives a nice view of the foliage and road. I liked to sit out there and watch the rain or the people go by. Breakfast can be arranged each morning for a small fee, and it is varied (both English and Sri Lankan breakfasts are available). There is a caretaker on site twenty-four hours a day. He is very helpful and polite. The owners visited us more than once during our stay to make sure everyone was in order, as this is not a "traditional" hotel in the sense that they are attempting to make money. This is a family-owned, true leisure stay, and they want to treat you as family, as well. This is a gem in Galle. I would recommend this location over and over, and I will stay here when I return to Sri Lanka in the future.
